The sun shone upon us like a warm embrace, welcoming us to the ever-changing sea. The sea was a mix of blue, a rhythmic melody that came in the form of waves. Our skin was sticky with the salty air, but we were too enchanted to notice—her by the sea, me by her.
"We are finally here." I glanced at her. Her eyes were as bright as the sun above us, and her smile was so wide and lovely that it could melt the entire earth. "Is it as you imagined?"
She shook her head. "It doesn't even begin to compare."
I laughed. I felt bad for putting off my promise for so long, but I'm glad I could finally bring her here. That smile is worth anything.
