Chapter 02: Chaotic Morning
-----------------------------------
Looking my reflection in the mirror, I was met with the familiar sight of black hair and violet eyes—the distinctive Sitri features. I'm just the older, gender-bent version of my beloved little sister.
*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*
"Savion-sama, Sir and Madam are waiting in the dining room," the maid from outside reminds me.
"Tell them I'll be there in a while," I reply, putting on my coat.
[Savion Sitri]
[Age: 10]
[Race: Devil]
[Rank: High Class (Low)]
[Skills: Water Magic (High), Ice Magic (Low)]
For the past five years, I've trained nonstop with the help of Nee-sama and Father. He taught me Water Magic, while the Maou Shoujo taught me Ice Magic, which is more complex to learn than Water Magic.
Water Magic—our family's specialty. And let me tell you, Devil Magic is bullshit. The guys from ToQgers would have a field day if they had this type of magic system.
Demonic Power allows Devils like us to use magic with the power of imagination, the power to create and good sense. Of course, we need a good amount of Demonic Power to shape the magic as we want.
As a High-Class Devil, I was born with a massive pool of Demonic Power. More than my peers, after training my arse off. Unsurprisingly, most High-Class Devils don't train much because of their pride.
I don't know if it's real because I haven't met someone my age, but that's what Nee-sama said, and I choose to believe her.
Putting on the coat, I look at myself again in the mirror. As the heir of the Sitri family, maintaining a presentable appearance is imperative.
Wearing a long grey coat over a matching grey suit, I stare at myself. I look vastly different from my Nee-sama, who always wears pink or blue magical girl outfits.
Nodding in satisfaction, I turn and walk toward the door. Tomorrow is my 10th birthday, and there will be a huge party for my public debut. Today, however, I'll be having my own Evil Pieces.
I didn't lie when I said I haven't met a devil my age from a High-Class family. According to my research, Riser is 6 years older than me. He already got his peerage members and had started his rating game debut at the age of 15.
As for Sairaorg, he's only a year younger than me. That means there are possibilities I'll have to participate in the Youth Devil Rating Game Tournament and fight against them to find out who is the strongest youth devil. Troublesome.
But fighting against Sairaorg can help me think of ways to fight against Touki users. The problem is, I'm a pure mage. Aside from running in the morning, I haven't done any exercise at all. So, how can a mage defeat a brute like Sairaorg? Something to think about in the future.
The good thing is, I won't be fighting Sona. The Satans only gathered the heirs, so I'll be going in her stead. I really want to see Rias vs. Sona in real life, but... oh well.
-----------------------------------
After a long walk, I arrive in front of the dining room. As my danger sense warned me, I step back and move to the side.
And lo and behold! The door slams open, and a pink rocket shoots out. The missile misses me and slams into the wall with her face.
"Sa-chan, you meanie!" My Nee-sama shouts, touching her bruised nose.
"Nee-sama, get a hold of yourself. We are in front of Father and Mother," I reply, staring down at her like a bad child.
Nee-sama, ever since I turned 7 years old, started having breakfast at our home. And yes, she is still sleeping in my bed. No matter how I run, hide, or even set up traps, she is always beside me every morning when I wake up. I stopped trying on my 8th birthday.
There's no use running from a huge brocon. I was just grateful that she hadn't stolen my virginity in my sleep.
Pulling my Nee-sama up from the ground, I try walking to the dining table. Tried because Nee-sama is holding me like how Rafiki shows Simba the kingdom.
"Nee-sama, put me down," I hiss.
"Not until you say 'I love you, Serafall Nee-sama'," she replies. Seriously, she's over 500 years old, yet why is she still acting like a child?
"I love you, Serafall Nee-sama," I whisper, loud enough for her to hear.
I'm not lying. I genuinely love my dependable Nee-sama. Well, not as much as Sona, but I love her nonetheless.
"Aw, I love Sa-chan too," she gives me one last squeeze before gently dropping me onto the ground.
I walk toward the dining table, glaring harshly at my parents for not helping me escape from my Nee-sama.
My Mother looks at me with a smirk while my Father face-palms and shakes his head. A sigh escapes from his mouth.
"Good morning, Father," I nod at him. "And Mother," I turn my head and acknowledge her with a curt nod.
"Good morning to you too, Savion," my Mother replies. "How was your morning?"
"Aside from being sexually assaulted by Nee-sama, which had become a morning routine? Yes, I am doing fine, Mother," I reply.
"Sa-chan is being a Tsundere again," Nee-sama sits beside me. "Don't worry, Sa-chan! Your purity, only your beloved Nee-sama can take it," she adds.
"Well, at least I can save my first kiss for the future," I sigh, injecting a note of resignation into my tone.
Nee-sama's demeanor suddenly stiffened upon hearing that sentence. That can't be… "Nee-sama… you can't be serious," I look at her in disbelief. The look on her face says it all.
"My first kiss! I didn't even know how it tasted!" I slam my head on the table. Manners can go screw themselves.
"Don't be so sad, Sa-chan. Come, let Nee-sama give you a kiss. Think of that as your first kiss," Nee-sama's face slowly approaches me as she keeps laughing like a perverted old man.
"No! Bad Nee-sama!" A young female voice chimes in and pushes away Nee-sama's face with her tiny hands.
"So-tan!" Nee-sama picks up my savior and puts her on her lap.
"No! Nii-sama, help me! Big meanie is trying to kidnap me!" My beloved little sister is crying for help, and it is my duty to save her.
"Nee-sama, if you give her to me, I will agree to your previous request." It is a small price to pay for my little sister.
"Deal!" And Nee-sama agrees immediately, placing Sona on my lap. Patting her head, I cannot help but smile at the sight of Sona's beaming face.
Sona is truly a miracle child. We Devils have low birth rates, but she was born five years after my birth, which is a miracle itself. So, all of us love her dearly. But of course, we also do not spoil her too much.
"Father, Mother, are you two seriously allowing this to happen?" I deadpan at my parents, who are observing the chaos with a mix of amusement and nonchalance.
"Well, incest is a thing in Devil society," my Mother nods like a sage. "We, the 72 pillars, came from the same parents after all," she adds.
"But it was many years ago! Father, would you please?" I try to ask for help from my Father but…
"Sorry, Savion. I cannot help you with this," he sheds a few tears. Oh, come on! He is clearly faking his tears!
"Nii-sama, what is incest?" My pure little sister asks me, staring at me with her round eyes full of curiosity.
"That… ah," I find myself at a loss for words, grappling with how to provide a suitable response to such a question from my pure little sister.
"Incest means you can marry your Nii-sama," My Mother answers the question for me.
"Really?! Incest is great! I want to marry Nii-sama when I get older!" She shouts with full vigour.
I felt as if an invisible arrow had pierced straight through my heart. What is she? So precious! And Nee-sama, why are you holding a video recorder?! Where did you even get that?! Father! Why are you crying even harder?!
-----------------------------------
The breakfast was… chaotic. I can at least say that. But I am starting to get used to this kind of morning routine. It is… not bad. There's a certain warmth to it, a feeling I never experienced in my previous life.
Standing at the gate, I am waiting for Nee-sama to go to Satan's territory. Taking out the fourth volume of Spice and Wolf from my System's [Inventory], I immerse myself in the world of the book.
Yes, this System of mine can save me from the horrible fate of Drag So-Ball by giving me the Light Novel and Mangas from my previous life. That was the first time I was glad to have the System.
-----------------------------------
Flashback,
I gaze at the blue screen filled with words in front of me. Since I'm now five years old, I think my brain is developed enough to start tackling this issue. So… what is this? I've never seen this thing before. I tap the blue screen, and it now shows my status.
[Savion Sitri]
[Age: 5]
[Race: Devil]
[Rank: Middle Class (Low)]
[Skills: Water Magic (Low)]
Okay? It shows my status. Hmm… I'm a High-Class Devil, yet it is showing my rank as a Middle Class. I'm assuming it shows my actual Demonic Power reserve, not my social class. Interesting.
I can see my status, but can I see others'? I turn my gaze to my Nee-sama, who is sleeping beside me.
[Serafall Leviathan]
[Race: Devil]
[Affection: Error Error Overloading]
It displays the usual information. Can I access her status? I try playing around with it, but it reveals nothing beyond these three lines. Well, then, I can't even gauge other party's power level? Man, you suck!
As I navigate through this mysterious 'System' of mine, I stumble upon a help icon. Well, that's awfully convenient.
'Try checking Inventory.' -U.G.
Wait… I have an [Inventory]? That's… nice, I guess? At least I can store my laundry in it.
So… [Inventory]?
My brain suffers a brief pain before I can see the list of items inside it. It's! I'm pretty sure my eyes turn bright the moment I lay my eyes on the list of items in there. There are lots of books for me to read. Lots of them! Well, what do you know? Aren't you a special fella? At least you are useful.
Do I want to know who gave me this [System]? No, I don't. Somethings are better not knowing. I don't have a huge ego like some main characters, so I'm content with my life.
As long as my little sister is not in danger, I don't care what happens to the Multiverse. At least I'm happy to keep this world safe for her. After all, if it's for my So-tan, I'd even defeat the ExE Gods.
-----------------------------------
Back to the present,
Nee-sama is taking a while. I can't help but wonder what's keeping her.
[Hidden Achievement Unlock!]
"What?" A dumb voice escapes from my mouth.
[Assassin? What is that?]
[Survive fifty assassination attempts without knowing you have been targeted.]
"What?"
[Please choose two of the five perks below as the rewards.]
[You can't see me]
Blocking all forms of Clairvoyance prying into you. Nobody can see your past, present, and future.
[A deal is a deal]
You can recruit people stronger than you with an Evil Piece of their choosing after doing what they requested.
[What Miracle?]
You cannot be hurt by God's miracles. But you can still get hurt indirectly.
[Scholar]
Allows you to learn magic quickly. But learning does not mean you can use it by skipping necessary requirements.
[Look at this photograph]
You will never forget anything you have seen. Memories will appear like a photograph. Please be cautious as it can make you go crazy by memory overloading.
"What?" That was the only thing I could say. I was about to get killed fifty times, and I didn't have a single clue about it? Wow... Have I mentioned how incredibly lucky I am to have Serafall Nee-sama as my sister?
-----------------------------------
Author's Note;
Well, Serafall is on the attack! She had already stolen Savion's first kiss, and let's see if she would steal his virginity in his sleep.
Yes, this is not the Gamer System. Just a regular System which can give out Light Novels and Mangas.
Well, I've already chosen which perks to give him, so... yeah.
'U.G.' is my homage to my beloved Urien Gregorios. Just think that this fanfic takes place after my unfinished fanfic. Maybe I'll try rebooting the Evil Lord series; who knows?
