Chapter 5: Awakening a Demon

As the darkness bled in through his skin Roe was well and truly dead. However a beautiful soft voice resonated from within his very soul a black flame began burning bright and hot.

[ My child, oh what wonders I have in store for you. What I give you is by birth right. You've finally become the being ive been waiting for you to be and your journey only starts here. I shall not tell you who I am, but I will tell you what you are about to become. You worn born a Demi-demon, both of your parents didn't die when you were young. Your father died do to a tragic accident with a beast deep here in my home realm. You are unique my dear son, as you are an abomination never meant to live you are the [ Absolute Sin ]. ]

[ This isn't just a title but an ultimate being one of his kind. The [ Absolute Sin ] is a being of old legend. Only one of you can survive at a time and a new one can't be born until the old one has completely been destroyed. You can die, yes but for you to awaken into your demon side you had to die a mortal death before being reborn. After this though, if you die, you won't be coming back so easily and if your body is completely destroyed you never can again. A new [ Absolute Sin ] will be created and you will cease to exist. ]

[ You are comprised of 8 powerful sins. all beings have their own sins and things they think are blasphemous. All races and all beings share a total of 7 of these sins however. Pride, Greed, Wrath, Lust, Sloth, Gluttony, and Envy. These are the most powerful and deadly sins in all existence and you embody them all, along with an 8th part no one but you will ever know about. My Prideful boy you come by it honestly. Throughout the legends your kind always awaken a single Sin more powerfully first before they begin awakening the rest of them. what you have to do I do not know but the path should be easy to find if you only look for it. Your very origin knows what it is and what it wants. These sins will give you many things, some good others bad. You'll only need to follow yourself when you awake to find all your answers.....]

The voice faded away as Roe began feeling like he was floating up his body starting to feel pain. He suddenly slammed back into his body and gasped sucking in a deep breath. He fell sideways and plunged straight into the Phlegethon! He trashed as his skin burned so hot he turned bright red. However through the pain he felt something.... more? His body began healing at a tremendous speed. Clamping down his teeth he forced himself to endure the pain.

Clawing his way out, with to his shock honest to God claws, he gasped as he rolled naked onto the shore of the flaming river shivering and curled tightly in on himself. His skin had become jet black with intricate violet runic markings sprawling from head to toe. He'd grown beautiful spiraled horns from his temples that curled up into what looked like a crown above his head. He had large draconic wings with a devil like tail swishing behind him.
