Chapter 29: An Apology From the Pretentious Shrew

Instantly, Sally became unhappy. "You want me to apologize to her?"

"You're at fault because you wrongly accused her. It's only right for you to apologize." Fred explained kindly, "I believe you can tell right from wrong."

After listening to him, she couldn't help but secretly grit her teeth while feeling very reluctant deep down inside.

Nevertheless, she couldn't refuse since Fred had said so.

After all, she had always acted like a clever and sensible girl in front of him.

"Layla, I was wrong. I didn't make things clear before telling Aunt Carlotta about it and caused you grievances. I'm sorry," Sally mumbled with her head lowered.

Then, Layla walked up to her and dug her ear. "Can you repeat your last sentence? I couldn't hear clearly."

Sally clenched her jaw in anger and then repeated herself in a louder voice, "I'm sorry!"

Hearing this, Layla finally smiled with satisfaction.
