Chapter 17: Bath Me

Just like that, Taylor led Layla through the long corridor and into a bedroom.

The room was twice as large as the one she lived in with her grandmother. Looking at the luxurious decorations in the room, Layla was too stunned and her jaw dropped.

"Taylor, are we staying here?"

"Yes."

"Have you been living here?"

"I used to live in my own villa. It has been several years since I came back."

"Since you've already moved out, why did you have to come back after getting married?"

"Because I want to."

Layla almost choked after hearing his reply.

She curled her lips in dissatisfaction and whispered, "But I don't want to!"

"Are you afraid?"

"I'm not afraid!" Layla denied without second thoughts.

She then added guiltily, "What's there to be afraid of? Don't you know who I am? I'm Layla from Spring Bay. There's nothing in this world that I'm afraid of!"
