Chapter 16: The grand magic games

Everyone is celebrating in fairy tail. The members are chatting and laughing happily.

"Attention everyone" shouts Master Yuri.

Everyone leaves what they were doing and then looks towards the master.

"Everyone, it's already the end of the year and time for the Fantasia festival. Regarding the guidelines just ask Wendy. And now for the actual news. The council had instructed us, guilds, to conduct a magic tournament called the Grand magic games. All the guilds of Ishgar will be taking place in the contest and so are we." Said Master.

From the crowd someone asks "Hey old man, We never took part in such competitions, what do you want to do by taking part now?"

Everyone looks towards the person who spoke and are suddenly shocked.

"Warrod!!!" exclaims everyone in surprise

"*sighs* The reward the winning guild gets is 100,000 gold, which is enough to repair and renovate the guild hall." says the Master.

"Wow!!! 100,000 gold !!!! That is awesome!!!" shouts Wendy in joy.

"Yo Wendy, Who is Warrod and why was everyone shocked after seeing him?" asks Mavis curiously.

"He is Warrod Sequen, one of the strongest members of our guild. He is one of the Ten Wizard Saints and among them, he is ranked fourth in terms of strength of the Four Gods of Ishgar and the Wizard Saints in general. He has quite a big temper so you better not piss him off." replies Wendy seriously.

Who are the Ten Wizard Saints?

The Ten Wizard Saints are the ten most extremely powerful and skilled Mages of the Ishgar continent.

To become a member of the Ten Wizard Saints, a Mage must be granted this title by the Chairman of the Magic Council. There are different types of Mages who such a prestigious title, though a few are known to be S-Class Mage of their respective guilds or even Guild Masters. In fact, some members of the Ten Wizard Saints do not even belong to guilds and can even be a part of the Magic Council.

"Humph... He is strong but is still nothing in front of my masters. My master won't even need a second to kick that guy's but." Says Zero proudly.

"Are your masters really that strong!!! OMG!!! then they wouldn't even be considered humans with that kind of power!!! Can you please let me meet them!!! Please" begs Wendy.

Zero with his head held high replies "Fine, Fine...Since, you are asking me so eagerly. They are Ze…".

Zera and Mavis then stare at Zero angrily with the expression "You will be dead if you speak one more word" written all over their face.

Zero shivers and says "th.. they are... Yeah! They are very popular but they don't like meeting people or showing their faces in public. So you can't meet them. hee hee"

Mavis and Zera then look at Zero and give him a thumbs up.

This makes Zero relieved and also gives both of them a thumbs up.

But the scene is still confusing to poor little Wendy.

Then the master continues his announcement

"I have come up with the team for the games. We will be having two teams of five members each, Team A and Team B to increase the number of chances to win. The members of Team A are Warrod Sequen, Wendy Marwell, Zero Blackfox, Zera, and Mavis Vermillion. And the members of Team B are Precht Gaebolg, Wraith, Bob, Goldmine, and Makarov Dreyar. The grand magic games opening will happen next week, make sure you all behave yourself, understand!!!".

"Aye, sir!!" reply everyone uniformly.

"Wow!!! We four are on the same team!!!" says Mavis joyfully.

"Yeah, but sadly even Warrod is in the same group as us." says Wendy disappointedly

"Is he really that scary?" asks Zero.

"Of course not !!!" shouts Warrod after overhearing their conversation.

"Hey, Wendy!! how many times do I have to tell you to not make others fear me!! When was I ever grumpy!! Because of you nobody even dares to look me in the eye!!!" says Warrod angrily.

"*chuckles* Oh sorry, I just like it when you complain about people running away from you," says Wendy while laughing.

"Anyways, Hey Mavis, Zera, and Zero. I am Warrod Sequen, I am glad to be on the same team with the three of you, I hope we get along well," says Warren kindly.

Warren then looks at The four of them seriously, this confuses All of them.

Then Warren shouts in excitement "How about we go and have a drink together, except Zero that is. We can get to know more about each other and It will help us perform better. What do all of you think?"

"Yeah sure," says Zera cooly.

They all walk on the streets searching for a decent place to drink.

And then spot a nice looking restaurant ahead.

"That place looks good," says Wendy.

They all then decide to drink there and have a chat.

They order a ton of food and begin eating as if they have never seen food before.

They cracked lame jokes and laughed loudly.

And then,

Suddenly someone bangs on their table and says mockingly "Wow, look who is here if it isn't the dumb fairies. I really don't get how you uncivilized fools got the title of Fiore's strongest guild. Looks like we have to teach you punks who is boss.".

Who was that person? How will Zera, Mavis, Zero, Wendy, and Warrod deal with them? Will, they just beat them up or will they challenge them and trash them badly?
