Chapter 13: Vampire Skills

Everyone was already lying on the rock hard ground as beds after having a small dinner with all attention on the other side.

Well it was already night and all was asleep. Given that they were in a single room with just one door and that Gambit had positioned himself to wake up quickly in the event of an emergency, there was a high level of assurance over their safety.

Or so they said.

The others were fast sleeping; it seems they had not slept well while living on the streets, while I was constantly escaping from innumerable mutants and zombies.

*Grmumb!*

"I thought I ate enough at night, so why am I hungry again?" Eri said, sitting up straight at the sound of his growling stomach.

After making every effort to suppress his hunger, he chose to go to sleep, which wass when it worsened.

'What are these red lines?' As soon as Eri's head met with his bag which he used as a pillow he began to see red lines flowing from his nostrils to somewhere he did not know about.

He was drawn in like a crazed wolf to these lines, scrambling on all fours and nervously pursuing it.

The lines were leading to Elsa's neck, not just her but every human in the room had a line leading to their necks.

Eri had to ignore this as he drew his eyes closer and closer, seeing every rushing blood cell pleading with him to drink them out.

Eri pitifully provoked himself to turn around and go to his luggage, but his body was resisting his attempts to back down. It was extremely difficult for him to crawl away.

'Stop fighting I have mutant blood in my bag!' With a snarl, Eri reached for the two blood bottles and drained them, dropping them with a soft clang that gave him a satisfying feeling.

"I can not let them find out I am in this predicament," he said, carefully hiding the bottles. After he did this he got another foreign feeling he didn't understand lying himself down to sleep.

'Most of this skills are more like a curse than a reward,' Eri sat himself up running his brain through every possibility, 'Can I keep on living my life as a vampire? There is no going back and I can't die, what about things like wood or silver bullets? Will they only wound me and make me suffer pain? However being like this will only endanger those around me.'

Eri exhaled feeling less sleepy than before, 'must be a result from the vampire metabolism.'

"Uhn?" A thought crossed his mind and he was happy to do it, standing up and starting a few squats.

One, two, three....... One hundred.

Eri's eyes glowed and his heart raced, 'I don't feel tired one bit, that means I can build up muscle without feeling the pain.'

'Take that no pain no gain motto!'

Eri almost leapt for joy but condoned himself not to wake the others from their well deserved rest. Instead he went down and started some pushups at a hyper speed realism.

One..... Fifty... One hundred..... Two hundred.... Three hundred

Eri finally stopped feeling a bit of soreness from his hands but after he spent a minute streching all the pain sufficed at once.

'Man my muscles are starting to pop out like the Anime kinds.'

'What the heck, my muscles grew again!' Eri grinned as he saw how his body improve again.

'I can get even stronger by exercising,' Eri was gladdened by his status wanting to do more exercise, 'i hope I don't change too much by morning time.'

Sixty floor tricep dips.

Two hundred millitary pushups.

Eighty shoulder gators and tricep strech.

One hundred sit-ups.

Side bridges on both sides about eighty.

Eighty squats.

Forty jumping squats and streching the quad cores.

Two hundred pike pushups.

'I would not have been able to accomplish any of this in my life as a human,' Eri who had already taken off his shirt showing his muscles packed body drenched with sweat, he was so ripped that wearing a shirt felt like a waste of time, still he needed to hide his changes.

'I achieved so much in just one night, I better get rest because the sun will soon be rising,' Eri revelled his gain going back to rest.

As he does an eye peeked into a small unoticed hole in the wall, it was one of the other group licking his lips uncontrollably and ogling at them from outside.

'What a nice feast we are gonna have soon, just wait humans dinner would be ready soon.'
