Chapter 10: Companions

It was already morning and Eri was awake. The moment he opened his eyes he felt a lot of hate and dissatisfaction at his current situation.

Though his regeneration sleeping in a bad stature still carried it's effect.

'I better hurry home today to get a comfortable bed, life this was is really..... Uncomfortable...' As his eyes adjusted and his ears started to hear once more, Eri's spine tingled with a farmiliar feeling.

Going to an upright sitting position Eri paused as he saw three humongous snake like mutant close to the car where he layed in. They looked well battle damaged and brutal.

'Can I really take on this beasts all at once?' Eri asked himself withdrawing his knife from his bag steadily not to make any noise. He analyzed the giant snakes and his chance of winning, 'they must be really quick and not to mention I won't be able to match all three at once, snakes also have poison so I will have to run.'

Cautiously Eri wore his bag and slowly grabbed the handle of the car twisting it and...

'Wait, why isn't the door opening?' Eri's heart palpitated when the door refused to open, 'this country and stupid mechanics!' Eri insulted trying hard to open the door without getting noticed.

Soon his gentle touch transformed into fully fledged shouldering as Eri got paranoid not until he heard a slight hissing that goaded him to stop.

Easy enough to discern, Eri dove back to lye on the floor his face upwards and right on one as a huge brown monstrous eyes peeked in the window lie a thief searching desperately for his face.

Thanks to the movies he learnt from Eri tightened his breath and froze his movement ranting in his mind 'play dead and the dinosaur will overlook you.'

Soon enough he knew those dinosaur movies turned out to be fake as the snake retracted it's neck back and slammed into the glass windshield if the car breaking through it and plummeting down at Eri.

Luckily Eri read it's movements perfectly pulling his legs away and leaving the head to puncture the ground of the car with it's humongous fangs.

If those fangs were to go right in Eri would die in a couple seconds.

Not shying away from the opening Eri raised his knife and stabbed it into the skull of the snake strongly, it went half way in.

"KEEEIIIKKKK!" Shrieked the snake as it still had fight left in it swerving it's head to get a bite on Eri.

'I have to dodge!' Eri gritted his teeth hopping off the floor and unto the snakes upper body evading the attack, after this he got a greater opening at the snakes skull. Pulling out the knife raising it high and bringing it down with the force of gravity and mighty momentum if his strength tearing deeply into the skull of the snake in one go killing it.

Safe enough Eri took measures to stab the head of the snake a few more times to make sure it was dead. Afterwards he lyed on the soft cushioned chair in order to catch his breath.

'Another feeling!' Eri yelled to himself as he heard another crash through the glass, this time from the front window another humongous snake, then another from his left side.

Eri gulped involuntarily seeing the slim chances if survival now, 'Now I know how it feels to be surrounded by anacondas... It's sick!'

He grasped his Knife's handle with wobbling hands in question of 'What to do in this enclosed space?'

There was no answer and certainly no hope if help arriv...

*ZWISSSH!!!*

A ball of flame smashed into the side of one if the snake's enthralling it's entire body immediately. The snake hissed rolling on the side if the car before going limp in a death stare.

At this point Eri and the other snake froze to look at the attacks source, a man in his middle age, long orange hair wearing a dark coat with his right palm on fire.

Eri was in awe by this look, how would someone have flames enamating from his hand?

The snake payed less attention to the flames and also to Eri withdrawing it's head and slithering towards the man with flame power.

While this happened Eri jumped into the window to stare at this like watching Hd television.

The man in his kid age was brave and unwavering yelling "now!"

At that same moment a man charged from the left with incredible speed that would be hard for any human to follow surely not Eri who was a vampire.

"Wind Acapella!" The man's sword was immediately engulfed with a tornado like energy as he swung at the Snake's head.

Unfortunately the snake had seen this attack coming a mile away and jerked it's neck back leaving the sword and massive wind to grave the tip of it's face.

'What kind of fool is this?'

"Damn it!" The man with the sword landed softly on his feet glaring at the snake in wonder 'how did it dodge my attack.'

The snake hissed once more ready to pounce on the man and his surbodinate when a golden light tore through the hair and struck it on the skull with incredible pace destroying it's head totally.

The Snake's body collapsed to the ground and Eri watched this in mesmerization.

'Two male, old dude and a youth,' Eri counted and soon others joined this group, 'a female youth and a young kid, they all have awesome powers, I best avoid them. If they find out I have food I might actually have to fight this team.'

Eri turned away to run pushing the jammed door and it opened thankfully. He walked out and as he was about to live heard.....

"Hey bro are you just gonna run after we saved you or thank us."

Eri gulped, 'So much for stealthy I have already been caught.'
