My High School Rival

It's a bright and beautiful Sunday morning, I thought within myself as I laid on my bed watching the beautiful birds chirping outside the window. I got up from my bed and went to the table near my bed, I picked up my phone.

"It's 8:00 a.m. already ,thank goodness today is Sunday "I said. I picked up a novel, sat on the chair in front of my table and started reading it. I love reading novels when I'm less busy or bored, that's my everyday's habit.

After reading for half an hour. I said "Finally, I finished this novel, it was so intriguing " I placed the novel back on my shelf, which contains varieties of novels.

I went to the bathroom,brushed my teeth, had my bath and I went into my room to get dressed. I wear a pink t-shirt written on it was 'Good things comes to those who wait' at the front and ' But the best come to those who do' I also wore a Jean trouser.

I went down to the living room, I met my mum in the sitting room drinking latte and at the same time watching television.

"Good morning mum" I said.

My name is Ava Woods. I am the only child of my mother. I came from an average family, I'm 5'4 talI, I have auburn long hair that reached till my waist, which I inherited from my mum. I have a set of chestnut brown eyes,which I inherited from my dad,who is no longer with us. I'm not really slim and also not fat. I am... I guess... just me.

Because of my intelligence and hard-working nature, I got a scholarship into Hillsview High School; the best school in the country. Only the elites can afford such a school for their children.

"Good morning dear" my mum replied.

Without hesitation, I made my way to the kitchen to prepare my latte. I came back to the sitting room to join my mum.

"What are we going to have for breakfast ?" mum asked. "I think I would prefer bacon and eggs "

"I'm okay with this latte " I said.

"Okay "she replied. Mum then went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. I had already finished my latte, I took the mug to the kitchen and went into my bedroom. I sat on my bed and took my phone and I was busy with it.

After a while, I tidied my room, 'cause my room is a bit messy. I then went for a walk at the park.

Ava sat on a bench and brought out her earbuds to listen to some music and relax. Then, she headed to her friend, Sonia's house to surprise her with her presence because they haven't seen each other recently and then she'll head back home. She arrived at Sonia's house in less than 20 minute.

Sonia heard a knock on the door and went to check who it was, right before Ava lands another knock on the door, the door opened and revealed Sonia in a floral short gown.

When she saw Ava, "Oh! Ava it's you, come in, you didn't tell me you're coming" she said.

"I wanted to surprise you" Ava said while coming in. She sat on the sofa and Sonia brought her a cup of water and sat down as well.

"It's been long since I visited you" Ava said as she collected the water from her. "Thank you" and took a sip from it.

"Are your parents around ? " Ava asked looking around the room for any sign of her parents.

"No, they went to visit a friend" Sonia replied while shaking her head.

"Oh! What of Kim ?" Ava asked of Sonia's younger sister.

"She's in her room " Sonia replied

"Okay" Ava said

"We have a lot to catch up on... " Sonia said

She had known Sonia since they were in 5th grade and they had gotten to know each other with that amount of time. After spending more than an hour at Sonia's place gisting and talking about how their lifes in Hillsview High will be, she went home.

Actually,Sonia also got a scholarship to Hillsview High, she's also an intelligent student. She and Ava both attended MMM High school and they both got scholarship to Hillsview High.
