Internal Debate***

I woke up bright and early. Rumi was up before me, but it was far too early for UA yet. "Why are you up?"

Rumi looked up, "Ha! I got a job with odd hours. You think my schedule will stay the same constantly. Fuck no, anyway… I'm heading out now."

I waved and she was already gone. Now what? I picked up my phone as I got up to make some breakfast. Ultimately I decided to look up Katie. With my uh, due to my relationship with Jess I decided it would be best to know everyone related to her.

To my surprise I was given an article about a recent attack on I-Island. The attackers apparently were after some invention. All Might had stopped them, but what got my attention. As well as what triggered the Qoogle search. Was Katie's involvement, it listed her as a huge help.

Apparently the villain that helped during the attack was a metal manipulator. With her quirk it was no wonder. However there was no video or picture of her helping. Plenty of All Might, but none showed her. Even if she was just a civilian you would think with her striking appearance.

I-Island though… Something suspicious is happening there. This report was so vague, but that would make sense if it related to the research there. However this was too vague. I sighed and poured myself a bowl of cereal. I'd watch out for her.

I thought for a second, and pulled up the class schedule. Most of the classes were hidden, but I could get a list of the more basic classes. As well as the free periods, which mattered to me. UA had a big campus, and there was no way I wasn't gonna explore and talk to some of the other teachers.

They were all heroes after all. I finished my cereal and got up. I had a train to catch.

The platinum haired woman leaned back in the chair. "My sister won't be helpful. That kid I told you about will notice immediately. If the boss wants his quirk, we can't let the kid go through any stimuli that would protect him."

The doctor frowned, "Do you really believe his quirk could do that."

The woman raised an eyebrow. "Wasn't that the reason the big man didn't instantly take the kid's quirk? I mean why else wouldn't he go and take an accumulation quirk right away?"

The doctor rolled his eyes, "I do not claim to understand his motives. Nor will I tell you what they are."

The woman scoffed, "Anyway you got your device or at least the blueprints. I can't understand why that stooge was hired in the first place. The quirk amplifier wasn't even hidden from the researchers. I could've just swiped the thing and left the island before anyone noticed."

The doctor shook his head, "It is about not drawing attention to us, unfortunately that stooge as you put it. Brought the attention to us, now All Might knows All For One lives. Not to mention your cover is now blown since he couldn't shut up."

The woman gave a smirk, "I told you so, Mercenaries never work well."

The woman stood up and moved towards a large tube. "This is the weapon?"

The doctor looked up from his computer, "It is currently the best we can make. Once I crack the technology behind the quirk amplifier I will be able to make appropriate measures to expand the quirk weight on the rest."

The woman showed no hint of understanding. Even though she knew the reason why the amplifier was needed she had no clue how the two related. "Not my field, tell me when you want me to 'work on some more Nomu'."

She gave a glee filled smile, she enjoyed her job immensely. After all, the doctor hated to get his hands dirty, so she was the perfect assistant.

----Changes---> The previous version of this chapter I felt was just too much of a filler chapter. So it was shortened and turned into a chapter explaining a bit of background. After all Katie is supposed to be evil, but it wasn't explained how she was related to the League of Villains. To add on to this I wanted to tie in a bit more of I-Island stuff and how the Nomu get upgraded. Finally this expands on the league of villains as a whole. I mean some villains are connected to the league, but how are they contacted why the trust in the organization. With more people in the organization as a whole it makes more sense. Though this mainly just the shadows of the league. Currently the face of the League is still only Shigaraki and Kurogiri.-----
