Get ready 1A!

"Ok class, today we'll be going on with our hero exercises,"

Bakugou said in front of the class.

This was the first time I heard him speak so calmly, it was almost captivating,

"I've yet to fully measure the extent of your abilities so now will be the time,"

"You all know the sports festival right?"

Everyone in the class nodded,

Of course, we do, that's one of the biggest UA events in history,

people come far and wide to just see it in person much less on TV some people said that it's so good, that watching it in pre-recording doesn't beat the live time!

"Well, imagine that but with chainsaws, flamethrowers, and the possibility of dying,"

The whole class watched Bakugou in complete horror, knowing him he probably wasn't joking.

A few people raised their hands to complain but Bakugou continued anyways,

"Or that's what I would say if the school allowed it," He scratched the back of his neck.

Everyone puts their hands back down,

"He actually tried to make it an actual exercise??" I heard Orla mutter to herself,

"The actual exercise we would be doing, however," Bakugou pulled out a hat with paper strips inside,

"Will be more long-term,"

"Everyone has an opportunity to pull from the hat, if your name is called you can no longer come out and pull from the hat and you are stuck with that person as training buddies,"

"Also your performance in this exercise will determine your class rankings,"

"Aioyma, you're up," He said,

Our class rankings?? This could be my chance actually, I just need to do well, anything they could do I can do better!

One by one we picked names from a hat until it was Kuya's turn,

When he pulled a name from the hat Bakugou took the paper and reads,

"Motoyo Saito! You and Kuya are training buddies!"

Orla turned to my desk with teary eyes, looking visibly upset,

all I could do was smile awkwardly and wave,

"The quirkless kid?... We're going to fail hard," I heard Kuya mutter to himself as he sat down.

We all gathered outside, and we were warming up with our training buddies,

The place was hot as usual but a sense of competition filled the air,

"Orla's teamed up with Kai, Aiyoma and Toya are a part of a team too!"

I looked at every pair up there was in our class,

"Can you stop calling people by their first names? It's really impolite,"

Kuya said as he was tying his shoes,

"If I don't everything will get really confusing," I explained,

Kuya looked up at me with a face of confusion,

"For who??"

I said nothing and just looked at the readers,

"What are you looking at..."Kuya asked, getting up from the ground.

"Nothing-" I responded.

"Listen up everyone!" Bakugou announced, "This is going to be a 2 v 2 event! So get to know you're partner's quirks and let be off!"

"We got this! Right, Kuya?" I turned to Kuya to see his response but he just seemed down about the whole situation,

"Just, don't get in the way, maybe our loss will be a little bit less embarrassing that way," Kuya did some stretches to warm up.

I didn't respond to him, I have been through all of this before, I'll just have to prove myself to him, words won't be enough.

"First up!! Orla Stone and Todoroki Kai! Vs!! Tokoyami Fujiki and Jorio Mineta!"

"I'll fight the girl!" Jorio said with a weird grin, this sets off everyone in the area.

"Touch her and I'll burn your hands off," Kai stared at Jorio,

"I appreciate it and all but I don't need your protection," Orla said with a smile,

Now, it's time, the battle of class 1A will begin, who will come out on top and what will the final rankings be?
