Chapter 27 : Fighting The Leaders

"Hayachi, Takeshi, as the usual!" Ryuji stood up and slammed his right fist into his left palm. He began cracking his fingers, a cold grin etched on his face. His yellow pupils shone with a cold light, reminiscent of an eagle fixing its gaze on prey.

"Finally!" Hayachi jumped from his chair, a contagious excitement painted across his face. He smiled joyfully, knowing that the awaited confrontation was about to unfold.

Takechi nodded in agreement and said, "We'll occupy him until you're ready."

The two took the lead, Ryuji deliberately lagging behind. His calculated pace indicated a strategy in the making.

"He's screwed. Once the leader takes action, his enemy is either disabled or heavily injured," one of the delinquents remarked in a loathing tone.

"Long Live BOSS!"

"Let's move to a safe distance. You know Hayachi-senpai's quirk. If you don't want to become permanently deaf, you better stay away and close your ears!" a concerned delinquent reminded his comrades.

Upon seeing their gang leader and deputy leaders in action, other gang members promptly distanced themselves, fearful of the impending repercussions.

As the trio approached him, Yugen grinned. "I hope you don't have dirty quirks like those bastards," he taunted.

"Don't worry, you will like our quirks." Hayachi replied with a wide grin, he took the lead and stood in front of the two.

Takehi and Ryuji quickly put ear plugs in their ears, Yugen noticed their movements and guessed what Hayachi's quirk might be.

'it must be some sound related quirk, since they put ear plugs then his quirk maybe really loud, better be prepared, i don't want to lose my sense of hearing in battle' Yugen thought in his heart.

"LEt's ROckn'd roll! Thunderclap!" as he shouted these words, Hayachi opened his arms as wide as he can, then he clapped them instantly.

seeing Hayachi's posture, Yugen immediately realized that Hayachi's quirk must be some sort of sound augmentation power, so he quickly teleported his ears dozens of meters above in the sky.

"BOOM"

a deafening clap resounded through the alley, sound waves visible to the naked eye traveled at an incredible speed towards yugen.

"TFF---" Yugen couldn't finish his curse, he didn't have time to react at all and was sent rolling backward as if he was hit by a speeding car.

"Bang"

Yugen's body only stopped after he slammed into the wall.

"coguh cough"

Yugen coughed hard. He felt dizzy, his internal organs shaking as if they had moved from their place. Gritting his teeth, he forced himself to stand up.

the world around him was spinning, he staggred almost falling back, fotunately, he relied on the wall to balance himself.

'soo strong! his quirk isn't simply sound augmentation, It was a wise choice teleporting my ears, but the loud sound waves hit my body, not only it pushed me away, it also injured me internally, so i need to avoid it, his quirk is similar to present mic, but it seems he is only limited to sounds made by clapping, that moment between each clap is when i should dodge.' Yugen starts regaining his normal vision, he quickly analyzed what just happened and tried to figure out how hayachi's ability work.

"Nice one, Hayachi-senpai!" The delinquent's voice rang out, the excitement palpable as they witnessed Yugen being repelled away by Hayachi's thunderous sound wave.

"Hayachi-senpai is cool as always!" Another delinquent chimed in, admiration clear in his tone. The gang members were thoroughly entertained by the unfolding spectacle.

"Beat his ass, Hayachi-senpai!" A bold challenge was thrown into the mix, the cheers growing louder as they urged Hayachi to continue his display of power.

"Hayachi, Hayachi, Hayachi!" The chanting began, a rhythmic chorus echoing through the alley. 

Hayachi, in turn, couldn't help but smile, basking in the adoration and cheers of his gang members. The cacophony of their support was a sweet melody to his ears, fueling his confidence as he prepared for the next phase of the confrontation.

"My Quirk is cool right? I named it Thunderclap!" Hayachi like a child, proudly started showing off and introducing his quirk, maybe it's ignorance, or maybe he is too confident in his ability, he didn't choose to continue attacking, instead he kept on talking, allowing yugen to adjust his state.

Yugen Ears hovering at the top in a concealed manner managed to capture his voice.

"well, So-So" Yugen replied mockingly, his eyes scanned the others two behind hayachi, he didn't know when Takeshi had long black thick chains hovering and circling around him like snakes.

'i didn't see him holding any chains before, so it's made by his quirk, he can conjure chains? what's the distance and the durability of these chains? do they have any special effect like once you get caught your quirk got sealed?' 

Yugen then noticed an even more weird scene,

'why he is warming up at this time?'

Ryuji, the leader of the gang, can be seen behind takeshi doing warm up exercises like runing in his place and punching the air quickly.

'it must be definitely related to his quirk, a condition for it to work! could it be that it gave him a boost in his strength if he heated himself up?' Yugen had read a lot of novels and watched all kinds of anime, he had seen all kinds of powers, so he quickly realized that Ryuji's quirk must be a strengthening type, and the condition for it to work is to warm up or charge kinetic energy before using it.

'is it that kinds of quirks like Fa Jin?' Although it's was just a guess, he is 90% sure he must be right.

"My Thunderclap allows me to produce extremely loud sounds just by clapping my hands!" Hayachi explained, lightly clapping his hands. The clap echoed through the alley, and a small soundwave was produced, dissipating after crossing a short distance.

"The louder the clap, the stronger the soundwaves it produces!" Hayachi proudly concluded his explanation.

Yugen took a few steps forward, patting his clothes to remove the dirt, and said, "Your Quirk is strong, but it has a fatal flaw. As long as I dodge before you clap, then I'll be safe."

"moreover..." Yugen instantly made punched the air around him, purplish particles appeared in front of Hayachi, the particles gathered into a look alike clone of yugen's fist.

"I'm not a stupide villain who will stand by and watch you finish your move!"

the fist appeared suddenly in front of hayachi's face, just few inches from his eyes, the later's pupils shrank into a needle as he saw the fist enlarging in his field of vision.

"Crap!" He cursed and tried to defend his face with his arms, but he was a fraction too slow.

"CLINK-CLANK-WHOOSH,"

Hayachi heard a series of sharp, clinking noises behind him, as the chains of takeshi slicing through the air at an incredible speed.

"BANG-CLINK"

"Agh!" Yugen sucked in a cold breath, clutching his right hand. His cloned fist exploded into purple particles as Takeshi's chains forcefully repelled it, the sensation of the thick metallic chains slamming against his fist faithfully transmitted.

"I'm safe! Ha ha ha ha, Takeshi, you saved my handsome face, tomorrow's breakfast is on me!" He then pointed his middle finger at Yugen and sticked his tongue out.

"Take this MAsked bastard, with Takeshi's protection, your sneaky moves won't land on me!"
