Yo, been a while...I think. I took a day off, and I think that's okay right? I dunno...
Btw, Tokyoyami himself would have wanted this title...I'm not bad at names no...no.

At the end of his match, Iida walked back to join his classmates, already mentally preparing himself for his next challenge. Behind him, Shoji followed at a slower pace. Despite the polite nods of encouragement from his peers, he couldn't shake the feeling of falling short.
He had been so close, yet victory slipped through his fingers. Leaning against a pillar, Shoji mulled over the fight, trying to figure out where things went wrong. Was it a lack of focus? Strategy? Or just pure strength?
As these thoughts consumed him, a familiar voice interrupted the silence. "Yo."
Shoji glanced over to see Kurokami Tenshin floating next to him, his usual child-like expression and casual demeanor in full display. Shoji, always introspective, expected a critique. "I assume you have a critique about my performance?" Shoji asked, his deep voice a mix of resignation and curiosity. He had the advantage in the match, and he knew he'd fumbled it.
But instead of a sharp critique or strategic breakdown, Kuro's eyes welled up with exaggerated tears as he replied, "Nah, the fight was interesting... It's just... they ran out of cookies at the snack vendor. Do you get it, Shoji? The cookies are gone, they lied to me!"
Shoji blinked in disbelief. The stoic, calm mask he always wore cracked for a moment as he let out a short, surprised laugh. "You're seriously concerned about that? Did my effort mean nothing?!" he asked, half-amused and half-exasperated.
Kuro, now wiping away his comedic tears, answered in the most straightforward way possible. "Well, you lost, so no." ' I wonder if Momo could order online....'
Shoji sighed, shaking his head with a mix of amusement and acceptance. "Eccentric as always, huh?" He straightened up, feeling the weight of his earlier disappointment starts to lift. "I suppose you're right, though. Dwelling in shame does me no good. Thanks for your... lesson, President." With a rare show of formality, Shoji gave a respectful bow.
Kuro blinked, confused by the formality, and scratched his head. "Alright, bye, Shoji... I seriously don't get what I'm doing, but it's working." He waved nonchalantly before floating away, leaving Shoji in better spirits.
As the intermission continued, the atmosphere in the waiting room shifted. Tension was rising, and anticipation filled the air as the next match approached. Bakugo Katsuki, already tapping his foot impatiently, glanced up at the clock. 2:12 PM. Three minutes until his match.
He couldn't wait. His opponent? Tokoyami Fumikage. Bakugo smirked to himself, already imagining the explosive showdown. Tokoyami may be strong... but I'm stronger.
Across the stadium, Tokoyami prepared in silence. His dark and shadowy figure exuded focus as his familiar companion, Dark Shadow, lurked in the shadows around him. "Bakugo," Tokoyami muttered to himself, "This will be a battle of light and darkness... and I will not let the light outshine me."
His words were a promise, not to Bakugo, but to himself. "Man, Tokyoyami, you're depressing as always huh?" Dark Shadow's voice rang out, "Besides, we've got a trump card, no way we lose..." Tokyoyami's eyes were deadpan, 'Imagine living with another you, all the time...but he was right, I won't lose.'1
...
As the two fighters arrived at the arena, the air was thick with anticipation. The crowd, buzzing with excitement, grew louder as they spotted Katsuki Bakugo and Fumikage Tokoyami entering the stadium. These two powerhouses, known for their destructive capabilities, had captured the audience's attention the moment the match-up was announced. Present Mic's voice echoed across the stadium, his excitement palpable.
"IT'S QUITE LITERALLY DARKNESS VERSUS EXPLOSIVE ENERGY HERE, FOLKS!" he yelled, amplifying the intensity of the moment.
Aizawa, sitting beside him with his signature deadpan expression and mufflers covering his ears, sighed. "This one's difficult to call. Tokoyami's Dark Shadow can be incredibly versatile, but Bakugo's raw destructive power is overwhelming. It could go either way."
Down in the arena, Tokoyami stood quietly, his eyes focused on the wild-eyed Bakugo. This was it. He knew Bakugo's reputation. A relentless fighter. A storm in human form. The kind of opponent who wouldn't stop until his opponent was completely obliterated. Tokoyami tightened his grip, mentally preparing himself. "We must be careful," he whispered to Dark Shadow.
Dark Shadow's voice responded eagerly, "I'm ready! Let's show him our strength."
Across the way, Bakugo cracked his knuckles, the smirk on his face growing wider. Finally, someone worth fighting, he thought. As the anticipation reached its peak, Midnight's voice cut through the stadium like a blade.
"Let the match… BEGIN!"
Without hesitation, Bakugo launched himself forward, explosions propelling him like a missile aimed at Tokoyami. The force of his launch caused a ripple of dust to trail behind him. "I'm not wasting time on this! Let's see what you're made of, bird brain!" Bakugo roared, his hands already crackling with raw energy.
Tokoyami's eyes narrowed. He's fast, faster than I expected, he thought as Dark Shadow instinctively surged forward to intercept Bakugo's explosive strike. The clash of Dark Shadow and Bakugo's blast sent shockwaves across the arena. Tokoyami skidded backward, his heels digging into the ground as he fought to maintain his balance. Even with Dark Shadow protecting him, the force of Bakugo's attacks was overwhelming. He's stronger than before, Tokoyami realized, and his resolve hardened.
Bakugo didn't let up. He flew into the air, dodging and weaving as he launched a barrage of explosions, the light from each detonation momentarily weakening Dark Shadow. Tokoyami gritted his teeth, feeling Dark Shadow's strength flicker under the harsh light. The explosions... too much light. Dark Shadow's going to struggle if this continues.
"HA! Not so tough now, huh?!" Bakugo taunted, his grin only widening as he noticed Dark Shadow faltering under the relentless barrage of blasts. "I'm gonna blow you and that overgrown pet of yours out of this ring!"
Tokoyami, however, had anticipated this. "Dark Shadow, now!" he commanded, his voice steady and calm.
Dark Shadow slammed its massive fists into the ground, creating a shockwave that disrupted Bakugo's trajectory, forcing him to break off his assault and flip backward to avoid the sudden quake.
"Enough," Tokoyami muttered as Dark Shadow began to wrap itself around him, forming a thick, protective sphere of darkness. The entire arena seemed to dim as Tokoyami's ultimate technique came into play. His voice, cold and unwavering, rang out: "Your light won't reach me here, Bakugo. This is where your reign ends."
Bakugo's eyes narrowed as he assessed the growing sphere of darkness surrounding Tokoyami. So he's going all in, huh? Good. I was getting bored. He smirked, feeling the adrenaline pumping through his veins. "You think a ball of shadows is gonna stop me? I'll blast through that like it's nothing!"
With a powerful explosion, Bakugo shot higher into the air, surveying the massive orb of darkness. He paused briefly, calculating his next move. "If you think hiding will save you, you're dead wrong, Tokoyami!" Bakugo shouted before twisting in midair, gathering energy in both hands.
Down below, Tokoyami's voice echoed from within the black sphere. "Let's see if your explosions are enough to challenge the Beast of Darkness."
With a sharp crack, the sphere of shadows began to break apart, revealing Tokoyami fully cloaked in Dark Shadow. The beast-like form of Dark Shadow loomed over Bakugo, its massive arms poised to strike. The once refined and controlled Dark Shadow had now taken on a feral appearance, almost twice the size of Tokoyami himself, with claws extending from its hands.
Bakugo, hovering mid-air, raised an eyebrow. "Alright, bird brain, you're finally taking this seriously. Good. Let's see if that overgrown shadow of yours can take me down!" With that, Bakugo propelled himself toward Tokoyami, his hands exploding in rapid succession, sending him hurtling toward Dark Shadow like a bullet.
Tokoyami braced himself. "Prepare yourself, Dark Shadow! We must endure!"
Dark Shadow roared in agreement and lunged forward, its massive arms swinging with enough force to shake the ground as it aimed to swat Bakugo out of the sky.
But Bakugo was faster. His quick reflexes allowed him to dodge Dark Shadow's monstrous swipes with ease, maneuvering between the attacks with fluid, explosive movements. As he darted around the hulking form of Dark Shadow, Bakugo closed the gap between him and Tokoyami, aiming a devastating explosion directly at the head of the beast.
"TOO SLOW!" Bakugo yelled, as the explosion connected, sending a shockwave that rippled through the stadium. Dark Shadow recoiled, and Tokoyami stumbled backward, his form faltering. He's so fast! Tokoyami thought, trying to regain control of Dark Shadow, who had been momentarily weakened by the blast of light.
But Bakugo wasn't done. As Dark Shadow staggered, Bakugo used the momentum to swing around and fire another explosion, this time targeting Tokoyami directly. "Got you!" Bakugo grinned as he closed in on his opponent.
But Tokoyami wasn't going to fall so easily. In a desperate move, Dark Shadow wrapped itself around Tokoyami, shielding him from the brunt of Bakugo's explosion. The impact sent Tokoyami flying backward, but Dark Shadow softened the blow enough for him to land on his feet.
Tokoyami's breaths were ragged, his body trembling from the strain of maintaining Dark Shadow's massive form. "I can't... hold this much longer..." he muttered, his eyes darting around for an opening.
Bakugo, seeing his opponent's exhaustion, smirked. "What's the matter? Running out of steam already?!" He rocketed forward, preparing to deliver the final blow. "It's over, bird boy!"
But Tokoyami had one last trick up his sleeve. As Bakugo closed in, Tokoyami shouted, "Dark Shadow, NOW!"
In an instant, Dark Shadow retracted from Tokoyami's form and shot up toward Bakugo, its claws reaching for the airborne fighter. Bakugo, caught off guard by the sudden change in tactics, barely managed to dodge, firing an explosion to propel himself sideways. But Dark Shadow was relentless, its monstrous claws slashing through the air as it chased Bakugo with ferocity.
"You're getting desperate!" Bakugo yelled, twisting in midair to avoid another swipe. His palms crackled with energy as he prepared one final attack. "FLASHBANG!" Bakugo screamed as a burst of blinding light erupted from his hands, momentarily stunning Dark Shadow and weakening its form.
Tokoyami, blinded by the light, stumbled backward, his connection with Dark Shadow faltering. I can't keep up... not in this light.
Bakugo saw his opening. With a maniacal grin, he rocketed down toward Tokoyami, his hands primed for one final explosion. "Now you're done for!"
"Die!" Bakugo shouted as he unleashed a massive explosion at point-blank range, the force of which sent Tokoyami crashing into the ground with a thunderous impact. Dust and debris filled the arena as the explosion rocked the stadium.
The audience fell silent, watching as the dust began to settle.
Midnight leaned forward, squinting through the cloud of debris. As the dust cleared, Tokoyami lay motionless in a crater, Dark Shadow stopped covering Tokyoyami and floated loosely at the side.
"The victor… by a landslide… BAKUGO KATSUKI!" Midnight announced, her voice ringing out across the stadium.
Tokoyami groaned in the crater, his body aching from the onslaught. Dark Shadow, equally battered, muttered, "That guy... is way too strong."
Tokoyami, still lying in the pit, sighed. "He's not just a fighter... he's a force of nature. But... I won't lose again."
Bakugo, his clothes tattered and burns lining his arms, walked over to the edge of the crater, looking down at Tokoyami. "You're still alive, right?" he asked, his voice lacking any genuine concern.
Tokoyami raised his head weakly, his eyes burning with determination. "Yes… thank you for asking."
Bakugo shrugged, turning to leave. But before he could walk away, Tokoyami called out. "Bakugo!" Bakugo turned his head slightly, glancing back.
"I won't lose to you again," Tokoyami declared, his voice filled with resolve. "You have the Son of Darkness staring at you now. Don't get lazy."
Dark Shadow, still recovering, added, "Yeah, what he said!"
Bakugo stared at him for a moment before a smirk tugged at his lips. "Shut up and rest. You're taking up my screen time, extras." With that, he walked off, already thinking about his next opponent.
...
As the Sports Festival raged on, the faculty of UA gathered in their private viewing room, monitoring the matches on large screens. All Might leaned forward, watching the replay of Tokoyami's transformation, his brow furrowed. "What exactly was that?" he asked aloud, perplexed by the feral change in Tokoyami during his match against Bakugo.
Aizawa, as usual, appeared unfazed, sipping his coffee as though the scene was no more surprising than any other. "I wouldn't know," Aizawa replied casually, setting his cup down. "I left Kurokami in charge of whipping everyone into shape. Dark Shadow's growth might have something to do with that."
All Might raise an eyebrow. "Is that really what a teacher should do? Let a student handle the training of his peers?"
Aizawa didn't flinch at the slight criticism, instead giving All Might a sidelong glance. "And what exactly do you know about teaching, All Might?"
The jab hit its mark. All Might winced, recognizing the truth in Aizawa's words. He had only been a teacher for a single year, and despite his heroic experience, nurturing young minds was far different from simply saving the day. He sighed, leaning back in his chair, eyes flicking toward the screen.
"So… are they innocent?" Aizawa's tone shifted, his words now laden with a quiet seriousness.
All Might's face hardened at the question. The faculty had recently been grappling with an uncomfortable truth—UA might have a spy, and the likeliest suspect came from none other than Class 1-A. Though it was an accusation that left a sour taste in his mouth, All Might couldn't ignore the signs. "I still believe in the justice in each of their hearts," he answered firmly, though his tone was grim.
At that moment, Principal Nezu waddled over, his small frame barely noticeable until he hopped up onto a chair to join the conversation. "You may be right, All Might," Nezu began, his high-pitched voice still carrying a weight of authority. "But Detective Tsukauchi's logic was sound. It's not impossible that one of the students could be feeding information to the League of Villains."
A heavy silence settled in the room. Aizawa, though often stoic, seemed burdened by the thought. He was starting to care for the "brats," as he affectionately referred to them, in Class 1-A. To suspect them of treachery weighed heavily on him. "Whoever it is, if any of them are involved... it's going to be a long road figuring out who," Aizawa muttered.
Breaking the tension, All Might change the subject. "Who's up next?" he asked, watching the screen flicker to the current standings.
"Kirishima versus Tetsutetsu," Aizawa answered, though with a sigh. "But that match already ended. Kirishima was too much for Class 1-B's, well... fodder."
All Might allowed himself a small smile, knowing how hard Kirishima worked. "I'm proud of him. He's always been determined, never gives up."
Aizawa rolled his eyes slightly. "You're too soft, All Might. I say 'fodder,' and suddenly you look ready to give them all pep talks. Your bias is showing."
Before All Might could respond, Nezu's voice chimed in, "It seems we have a particularly exciting match coming up." His beady eyes twinkled as he tapped the screen. "Kurokami Tenshin versus Shoto Todoroki."
All Might's face shifted, and a frown of concern creased his brow. "Kurokami and Todoroki... That's going to be a serious fight," he muttered, thinking about the raw potential both students held. Shoto, with his ice and fire, carried the immense weight of his father's expectations. And Kurokami... well, Kurokami was a wild card.
"They're both among the strongest of their class," Nezu noted thoughtfully. "Todoroki has the heritage, the power that comes with being Endeavor's son, but Kurokami... Kurokami is... unpredictable."
"Unpredictable is an understatement," Aizawa chimed in. "He's got this strange mix of raw strength and an overly simple outlook. He's talented, but he doesn't think like most of the other students."
"Maybe that's what makes him dangerous," All Might mused, remembering Kurokami's unique approach to heroism, which often baffled even the faculty. He was a natural leader with a god complex but didn't seem to care much for traditional goals like fame or ranking. It was hard to pin down what motivated him beyond the immediate challenges in front of him.
In the Waiting Room
Meanwhile, in the waiting room, Kurokami Tenshin stretched casually, seemingly oblivious to the weight of the upcoming match. His flight training had gotten better—he now floated effortlessly around the room, flipping occasionally out of boredom.
Across the room, Todoroki was quiet, focused, mentally preparing himself for what was about to come. He had heard the chatter throughout the school. Everyone was curious about the matchup, wondering who would come out on top between the son of Endeavor and the eccentric, unpredictable Kurokami.
Todoroki looked over at Kurokami, who was still floating lazily in the air. "Kurokami," he called out.
Kuro tilted his head, floating over slowly. "Hmm?"
Todoroki's gaze was serious, his icy blue and red eyes locked onto Kuro. "Why did you help me? With my father."
Kuro's expression didn't change. "I didn't really 'help' you. I just saw something I didn't like and fixed it. Besides," he added with a shrug, "it was fun to beat him up."
Todoroki chuckled, something rare for him. "That's what I thought."
Kuro floated down, landing softly on the ground. "So, you ready for this?" he asked, tilting his head with genuine curiosity. "You're not still holding back, are you?"
Todoroki's face hardened. "No. Not this time."
Kuro smiled a grin that could almost be mistaken for excitement. "Good. Let's make this fun, then."
As the announcement for their match echoed through the stadium, the two students stepped out into the bright arena, the roar of the crowd greeting them. The entire stadium seemed to vibrate with excitement. This was the fight everyone had been waiting for.
Midnight's voice boomed over the loudspeaker, "Next up—Kurokami Tenshin from Class 1-A versus Shoto Todoroki, also from Class 1-A! Are you ready for what's about to happen?"
The crowd erupted in cheers, and both fighters stepped into the ring, their expressions serious.
In the faculty room, All Might leaned forward again, eyes glued to the screen. "This one... this one's going to be intense."
Nezu simply smiled, his tiny paws clasped in front of him. "Indeed it is."
Back in the arena, Midnight raised her hand, the match seconds away from the beginning. "And… START!"
Kuro didn't hesitate, immediately shooting into the air using his "Ki" to hover several feet above the ground. "No holding back, remember?" he called down to Todoroki with a playful grin.
Todoroki remained grounded, ice already forming at his feet as he responded coolly, "I wasn't planning to."
With a sudden crack, a massive wall of ice erupted from the ground, soaring toward Kurokami like a tidal wave.
