Chapter 41

AN: Sorry for not updating guys, I caught a cold. I just got better today, and started writing earlier. I still don't feel as good as before, so forgive me if the quality dropped.

Chapter 41

"Seriously? They put me in water?" Momo resisted the urge to roll her eyes, in this environment she has several ways to knock out all the villains in the water.

In fact, she already did. She created a grenade that explodes electricity and threw it at the water, knocking the villains unconscious.

That grenade was a support weapon used by the police, it wasn't particularly strong, but it can knock someone unconscious, Momo just increased the power upon her creation.

Right now, all the villains were tied up on the boat. She made sure to make the ropes increasingly hard to break.

"Sorry for the trouble." Said Shoji, with several parts of his body covered in bandages.

"Helping a classmate is no trouble at all." Momo smiled.

"Still...Thank you." Shoji nodded, smiling under his mask.

Momo was about to say something when she narrowed her eyes and created a pistol, aiming it above. Shoji's gaze followed where she was pointing at and his eyes widened.

Above them, is a monster similar to a large and long snake with wings and an exposed brain. Standing on top of it is a tall and slim middle aged man wearing black coat and a fedora hat.

Momo smiled lightly, 'If Izu was here he'd be whining about how unfair it is that a villain gets to have such a 'cool' ride.'

The snake's width was comparable to an utility pole, and length no less than fifteen meters, and a wingpan of ten meters.

'If I didn't know better, I'd say it's one of the Snake from Sabadoby Island.' She stared at the snake, thinking of the mysterious island where Melissa got her Quirk.

"Momo Yaoyorozu," said the man in black, "Heiress to the Yaoyorozu Corporation, One of the Four Stars, and a Student of All Might. I am glad to be the one to kill you."

He tapped his foot to the head of the snake he was standing on. The snake opened its mouth and released a purple gas.

Momo didn't waste a second as she created a gas mask on her face and gave one to Shoji. However, her eyes widened when she remembered that there are still the unconcious villains on the boat.

Villain or not, she can't let them die! She pushed her arms forward and created a blast of wind that disperse the purple gas.

The man in black raised an eyebrow, "We...do not have any intel about you being able to do that." he glared at Momo, "Man, it must be nice to have such a Quirk huh? You must really have it easy huh? If only I have that Quirk...I wonder what would happen to me. Haa, that Quirk is wasted on a hero wannabe like you."

Momo frowned, which Shoji noticed and shivered. He has seven sisters, and has developed an instincts that lets him tell if a woman suddenly became dangerous.

It saved his life a few times. For example a month ago, he saw girl around his age who was calmly sitting on a bench and listening to a music looking all calm and composed, but was actually someone who was about to erupt in anger and Shoji deemed as dangerous.

The next moment, when someone sat beside her and talked to her, she erupted, and that look on her face was something that was forever etched into his memories.

And right this moment, even though Momo doesn't show it aside from a frown, Shoji knew that she was boiling in anger.

The man in black continued, "Why be a hero? If I have that Quirk...I would probably be doing everything I want! I don't have to work hard for a measly sum, I could leave with endless wealth! Enjoying authority and power! Such a strong Quirk, and you're using it for what? To play the hero? Wake up girl! I am sure that once you're gone, no one would even remember you."

"Shut up."

The man smirked, "Oh? Did I hit a nerve? You're nothing without your Quirk. You're strong because of it."

She took a deep breath, "People like you are really the one I hate the most."

"Oh?"

"You complained and whined about being unfair, envying others for their achievements and wanting them yourself when you've done nothing to earn them."

Izuku was Quirkless, yet he did not complain about it. He probably envy others, but it didn't let him cloud his mind. He busted his ass off to earn what he got today.

Only god knows how much he endured just so he would not lose to those with Quirks and still be a hero he always wanted to be.

Yet this man, he envys others for what they have, wanting to have what others earned when he probably just complain and whine all day without doing anything.

"I am only strong because of my Quirk you say? You're wrong. My Quirk is strong because of me." She declared, "If my Quirk have its own consciousness, it would probably cry if you're the one using it."

'You really shouldn't antagonize him any further,' thought Shoji, 'He's about to explode.'

"You're also probably a failure at being a villain," said Momo with a mocking smile, "I mean, you look old, and no one knows you, you're probably not even qualified to be written at Izuku's Villain Analysis Notebooks."

She may not like to mock her opponents, but this man just seem to get under her nerves. She was just glad that she's friends with Bakugo, who could even make a villain cry with his insults.

The man took a deep breath to calm his boiling anger. He stared at Momo before ordering the snake-thing to dive towards the ship.

Momo fired her gun several times, the flying snake paused and shook its head, before continuing as if nothing happened.

The creation girl was shocked, 'That was a Tranq capable of putting a grown elephant to sleep in an instant! Yet this thing just shrugged it off!?'

But she didn't dwell on it for long as she ran towards the edge of the ship and created something similar to a grenade and threw it to the water.

With a puffing sound, the grenade released a white gas that instantly froze a part of the water.

"You want to run!?" The man controlled the snake to follow Momo and jumped towards the ice and grinned, "I am Shadow, and I will be the one who'll kill you!"

As the snake neared her, Momo created a blast of wind from her feet and jumped forward while flipping on the air. She then aimed her hands at the man as she created a white string-like substance from her wrist and shoot it at him.

The man, Shadow, however just stared at it as he raised his right hand as it transformed into a black tentacle-like thing with a mouth between the tentacles that swallowed the white string-like thing that Momo shoots out.

He then raised his left hand and shoot out a small blast of white energy.

His Quirk allows him to absorb non-living things on his right hand, and covert it into an energy attack to fire in his left hand. As for the tentacle-like thing, that was just a mutation he inherited from his father.

Momo crossed her arms and covered it with iron scales, protecting herself from the blast as she landed on the ship.

She turned towards Shoji, "Can you fight?"

Shoji hesitated, before sighing and shaking his head, "I can't. If I move around too much I might open up my wounds."

Momo nodded and created a sniper rifle and handed it to him, "That's just a tranquilizer gun, if you find an opportunity don't be afraid to shoot."

Shoji took it and nodded.

"Done talking?" Said the villain as the winged-snake opened its mouth and prepared to released a poisonous gas once again.

"Like I'd let you!" Momo rushed towards the snake and created a grenade and threw it straight at its mouth.

Boom! The snake swallowed the grenade and it exploded inside it. However, aside from momentarily bloating up, and flinching it doesn't appear to have suffered much damaged.

Even Momo was shocked.

The man smirked, "Fool. This is Nomu, a bio-engineered creature with Quirk Undead Physiology, it allows this thing to resist pretty much any attack that can threaten its life, including swallowing a grenade. Not to mention it also has Self-Regeneration to help it."

"Two Quirks..." Momo frowned, before shaking her head, 'This is going to be hard.'
