"How would you deal with her, Carin?" Rune asked. 

"I would close my eyes and blitz before she could react."

"Close your eyes? Why?"

"I could tell you. But then you wouldn't learn anything," Carin replied.

If she had things her way, then she would have had them spending every moment up to the day their participation in intense training. The main reason she allowed them to come was because she thought it would be good for them to see a wide variety of fighting styles. 

Rune and Luna were the only ones who could say they had real combat experience, and even then, it was still limited. Every enemy they had fought until now were power types. Darius certainly had technique, but even he relied on overwhelming his opponents with pure force.
