Chapter 20: The Drahken Arena Part III
The dimly lit holding cell hummed with quiet tension. Ethan's crew spread out, talking quietly with the other prisoners, trying to gather information. The battle in the arena had earned them some respect, but there was a palpable sense of despair in the cell. Many of the prisoners had been here for years, fighting in the brutal arena with no hope of escape. Ethan knew that if they didn't find a way out soon, they'd meet the same fate.
Tazra approached a hulking alien with scars running down his face, a veteran of the arena. His weary eyes followed her as she sat beside him, her usual confident demeanor tempered by a quiet respect.
"How long have you been here?" Tazra asked, her voice low.
The alien grunted, shifting in his seat. "Too long. I've seen countless fighters come and go, most of them don't last more than a few fights."
