Fleeing once again

Herald hid behind the tree, he was making malicious thoughts as he waited for what would happen next.

The trees in front of where he hid were all cleared out of the path one by one by the snowball when he finally replenished enough primeval essence from the malicious thoughts.

Herald watched as the snowball burst; four wolves came out.

The wolves, along with the Iron Snow wolf rushed into where he hid.

Herald was forced to fight with Five opponents.

One was an Iron Snow Wolf that was on par with a Rank Five Gu Master and The other four were on Par with Rank Three Gu Masters.

Herald swung his hands multiple times, and a thread-like white liquid shot out from his hands that were turned into white claws.

The white liquid was very thin, they came out from each finger claw.

Whenever they hit something, they would leave deep Marks.

When they hit the Big Iron Snow Wolf, They were only able to leave minor scratches.

It was a different story for the smaller wolves.

Each time he hits them, a medium-sized chunk of flesh flies out, and the wolves would cry in pain.

A Rank Three was no match against Rank Four, and a Rank Four was No Match against Rank Five.

This was the difference between ranks.

The only reason why Herald can contest with the Rank Five Iron Snow Wolf is because it is a beast, a creature of lower intelligence.

If it was like the Elder Snowman, a variant human, and went all out since the beginning, Herald would be long dead before he could damage the Rank Three Wolves.

One by one, the Rank Three Wolves fell, and only the Rank Five Remained.

Herald was panicking, earlier, a rank three wolf managed to lunge at him, tearing a huge chunk of flesh from his left leg.

That wolf was then killed by him.

If not for the system's help, Herald wouldn't have a fighting chance.

Herald was not like any native of this world, he came into this world just a few hours ago, and him being able to fend off this Rank Five Iron Snow Wolf was a feat in itself.

His primeval essence consumption was huge, the only way to replenish it was very slow.

That was to activate the Rank Four Gu House, Gooning Zone.

By activating Gooning Zone, Herald would have active defense and offense while slowly accumulating primeval essence.

Herald was forced to retreat, He activated Goon Zone.

As the Gu House Formed, Herald resisted fiercely, the Iron Snow Wolf was overwhelming him.

Finally, the Gu House was completed.

The Elder Snowman, seeing this, snorted loudly and rushed into the battlefield.

"Planning to hide inside this Gu House? I don't think so!"

Together, with the Iron Snow Wolf, the elder snowman closed in while dodging the attacks from the Pillars.

If not for the elder snowman getting targeted too, Herald's recovery would have been Twice as fast, however, the Gu House had to defend against two, which both had Rank Five battle strength.

The Gu House was crumbling faster than Herald could recuperate, it brought great pressure on him.

[They have destroyed one of the Core Gu Worms, it will not take long for them to finally destroy it.]

[By then, I calculate that you will only have forty-eight percent of your primeval sea restored]

[It looks like we have no choice but to waste one-fourth of a precious purple jade immortal essence to recover your primeval sea.]

Herald then felt his primeval sea get instantly filled, it was now at Ninety-nine percent.

Each second the Gu House is activated, Herald Loses Half of a One, and the system advised him to fight head-on.

[We are left with no choice, We will allocate two purple jade immortal essence into this battle.

I doubt that Elder Snowman has more than half of it, but to be sure, we will use two.]

[As for the Iron Snow Wolf, once the Snowman is killed, it will have no one controlling it, thus, it will become less intelligent. By then, you are more likely able to flee.]

After the Gu House had been deactivated, Herald ran as per the system instructed.

The plan was; Herald would run, and after a certain distance, he would swing his hands and a thin thread-like white substance would shoot out of his finger claws, this would slow down both the pursuers and they would get damaged if they get hit.

This was Herald's plan earlier but he wasn't that much experienced.

Now, after he killed the four rank-three wolves, Herald gained some experience.

Using the experience and the System's guide, he would be able to display the true power of a rank four.

Herald may have great grandmaster-level attainment in Goon Path but that was only in theory.

He never used Gu worms before, thus, he's not instantly able to use them to their full potential.

After some time of repeating the same cycle of retreating and attacking, Herald was gaining more and more experience in using Gu Worms.

The Elder Snowman was getting frustrated, sometimes his control over the Iron Snow Wolf slipping, probing the wolf to attack him.

The battle has been ongoing for hours, barely any of the spectating Snowmen were able to follow the battlefield.

Only Elite Rank Twos and above were able to follow.

The elder snowman was all alone, he had to kill the Iron Snow Wolf as it was starting to get out of control.

By now, the system had already used one purple jade immortal essence to recover Herald's primeval essence, more than it had calculated.

Huff huff huff

"This... This human seems to have unlimited Primeval essence... Could it be that he's backed by a Gu Immortal that's why he's not afraid to cause trouble in my tribe's land?"

The elder snowman was right yet far from the truth.

Herald wasn't backed by an immortal but the strongest Venerable.

Of course he's not directly backed but he received a 'gift' from Great Love.

But enough of that, Herald started gaining the upper hand, the snowman was getting anxious.

"Everyone! This human is suspicious, quick! Help me capture him for interrogation!!"

Suddenly, all the elites of the snowman tribe came out into the battlefield.

Various auras surrounded Herald, most of them were of Rank Two, not much threatening.

However, They numbered in hundreds.

Even a lion could be taken down by a bunch of hyenas, specially if the pack of hyenas is lead by another lion.

The number of Rank Two snowmen was enough to form a secret elite unit for most clans.

The number of Rank Three amounted to no more than fivety.

Rank Four can be counted using two hands.

And besides them, another Rank Five came.

The battle's tide turned once again.

Earlier, it was just Herald against the Elder Snowman who is a Rank Five and the Iron Snow Wolf that can match a Rank Five in Strength.

Now, the battle was like that of someone getting jumped on Earth.

Herald was greatly outnumbered, the odds were quickly shifted.

[It looks like we have no choice but to escape, the direction of this battle is heavily favoring the enemy.]

[This is most likely the doing of Heaven's Will, It's trying to get rid of Its greatest enemy's successor.]

[Now, activate the Rank Five Escape Path Killer Move; 'Come and Go'!]

As instructed, Herald evaded many attacks, be it snowballs, ice spears, and more, he took out Four gu worms and put Two ok each of his palms.

The Gu worms were From Escape and Goon Path.

The Rank Five Gu worm was black, its body was that of a widow spider.

The other was only Rank Four, it was creamy white in color, it was shaped as if it was a stick bug.

"It looks like he has something up his sleeves! Be on your guards!"

"What could this man be planning? Taking out Four Gu worms, two rank Four and Two Rank Fives, is it a killer move??"

The snowmen discussed amongst themselves as they chased Herald with caution.

Herald looked back, smirking at the hundreds of Snowmen hot on his trail.

He turned around, startling the snowmen and stopping them from running after him.

He then raised his hands and quickly drew them back under his waist.

After putting Two on both his palms,

They formed a dance, their colors as if they formed a Ying Yang Symbol.

A Purple Jade immortal essence was consumed instantly, the Gu worms spun rapidly, leaving a trail of white moist that quickly dissipated in the air as it launched Herald into the air, sending him hundreds of kilometers away from Qingmao Mountain.

The snowmen realized that Herald was escaping but they could do nothing.

Herald was sent flying very fast, even the fastest mortal killer moves couldn't catch up to him

Herald was rapidly descending from the sky, he pointed his palms into the ground as air blew into his face, his clothes swayed in the air and his hair were standing like grass.

White mist was coming out of his palms, it slowed his descent greatly.

Herald had successfully landed, his feet touched grass as the moon shone on his face.

" I was brought into this world after escaping from the authorities back on Earth. Once again, from danger I was able to escape thanks to the system."

"Right now I am weak, I needed the system to flee from an enemy, if I don't grow stronger then what am I? Today I flee, tomorrow is different. Be it the hundreds of Snowmen pursuing me, or the enemies of the Great Love who are after me, I am not willing to back down."

"Just like the sun, which gets defeated by darkness during the night, I will shine brighter tomorrow."

He said as he gazed at the beautiful moon which seemed to illuminate the entire world.

The air was very chilly, the winds passed through the nearby trees making calming sounds of the summer breeze.

From time to time, countless wolf howls, bird cries, and noises from things were heard by Herald as he sat in a tall branch.

Finally, after a battle that lasted for several hours, he'a now getting some sleep.

Herald might've not shown it earlier but he's tired both mentally and physically.

Ever since he came here, he was running all the time.

Be if from back on Earth, he ran away until sunrise.

Herald closed his eyes to sleep, slowly falling unconscious.

Herald was running away, he was getting chased by a whole mob of police and snowmen, they were getting closer each passing second.

He was having a dream, A nightmare to be exact.

"It seems like this dream isn't letting me make my own decisions, what could it mean for it to be uncontrollable?"

After a while, Herald was caught by the mob, he was then tied with ropes that were as tough as metal.

Suddenly, everything vanished besides Herald, the surrounding became a world of white.

The world started to crumble on itself,  forming a shape in front of him.

The shape started very sturdy, but very soon it resembled a statue.

The statue then became like that of a woman.

The statue started moving, getting closer to Herald.

"How unfortunate for the strongest Venerable for his successor to die without much gains."

"It seems like Heaven's Will is using me as a human calamity to obstruct his plans, it knows that I hold a grudge against him, I have no choice but to be Heaven's Will 's Chess piece."

The statue then raised both of its hands, purple smoke covered both and formed a sword that was barely visible, it gave off a deadly aura as Herald realizes he might actually die.

"You can only blame your misfortune"

The statue said as it striked, hitting Herald.

White smoke quickly engulf Herald and the sword was reflected.

"Who dares harm my Junior?"

A figure came out from behind the smoke, it was that of a man.

I will be watching this series for a month. If it gets good praise, I will continue it.

I will give it a month to determine if it's worth continuing or not.

If it is, I will take a 3 month break and start writing.
