8 In Trouble

After introducing himself Alan took a seat next to his father and tried to figure out his devil mom's plans with her devil friend.

While William and Daniel looked at each other uncomfortably with an awkward smile, they seem to facing the same problems in their marriage life.

Seeing everyone Busy Alan didn't know what else to speak other than introducing himself, it is his first-time receiving guests of course excluding Victoria (can we even call her a guest now?).

His mother looked preoccupied in her conversation while his dad just sat blankly looking at his wife which goes the same for Daniel as well.

Alan glanced at Ashley through the corner of his eye. As soon she felt his gave Ashley looked down as she blushed.

'Oh no he is looking at me, I can't my heart is bleeding' Ashley thought as she shook her head trying to divert herself.

"Hello, I am Alan Carter, may I know your name?" Alan stood in front of Ashley.

she slowly looked up at Alan who looked like Adonis the god of beauty, with his handsome appearance he could make any girl fall for him. With jet black hair and his blue crystal eyes reflecting the light.

Everyone in the room dropped their conversation a just looked at these two.

Alan cleared his throat…

Ashley suddenly stood up "Ahh… my name is Ashley Johnson " Ashley greeted with a slightly red face and continued "You can call me Ash"

Alan and Ashley.

"You look sooo handsome" Ashley spoke her heart with a beat red face.

"You look very beautiful too Ash-ley" Alan stuttered as it was the first time someone called him handsome.

(Well, he never gave Victoria a chance to speak, you shouldn't be angry with her, lol)

Alan blushed with embarrassment as he stood there looking at Ashley.

A cute voice yelled Causing a disaster "Brother she isn't as pretty as sister Victoria" Everyone turned to notice Mia pouting with her hands on her hips.

'When did this girl get here, wasn't she sleeping' Alan wondered as he looked at Mia.

He gazed back at Ashley only to notice her eyes clogged with a pool of tears which could flood down her face any minute.

Alan wiped Ashley's tears as he spoke "Ash you shouldn't mind what my sister says, you are very beautiful"

Bad ump bad ump

Ashley sniffed and looked at Alan with a loving smile.

"Thank you for comforting me" Ashley spoke with a sweet tone.

Catherine nodded at anna, and then Anna quickly kidnapped Mia away before she could spoil Catherine's plans any further.

Then Alan sat next to Ashley on the couch and had a chat with her.

They both laughed and had a good time, which surprised Lily and Daniels since Ashley never got along with anyone.

They had never seen their daughter that happy; they would even give up their lives to see their daughter always happy.

Tears of happiness drooled down Lily's eyes as she saw this wonderful scene.

"… don't cry Lily, it's fine" Catherine patted Lily's back "She will always be happy"

Ashley and Alan continued their chatter without minding their surroundings.

While Alan kept talking Ashley never took her eyes off him.

'You swept me off my feet my handsome prince' Ashely thought as she smiled awkwardly.

After having a fun family gathering it was time to tell their goodbyes.

At the entrance of the mansion:

"Cathy, I will miss you" Lily spoke as she hugged Catherine.

"I will miss you too, I will visit you next time "Catherine hugged Lily tighter and continued "Make Ashley eat more, I think my son likes big jugs"

Hearing Catherine's conversation William questioned himself 'Is my wife really crazy?'

"Ok see you next time, take care until then" Alan said with a loving smile.

Ashley rushed towards Alan

Ashley kissed Alan on his cheeks "You too, I can't wait to meet you again" Ashley ran to the carriage in embarrassment.

After saying their goodbyes, the Johnson family left as Ashley waved to Alan from the carriage.

Knock knock

"Dad, may I come in" Alan stood in front of a huge door which had some ancient writings on it and a carving of Zeus.

"Yes, come in son" William spoke in a neutral tone "Take a seat, I have prepared something for you"

William sat on a giant chair which looked like a throne as he removed something from his drawer.

William placed a wooden box on the table "Open it son"

Alan slowly opened it and he saw a yellow crystal "What is this Father?" Alan asked with a curious face.

".. It is a mana stone, it releases mana. If you absorb pure mana, you will recover faster" William continued" Your health is my first priority, I asked Daniel to bring it "

Mana stones are very rare, they can only be purchased for a higher price only in an auction.

William looked at Alan with a serious face "You should get ready before the awakening ceremony"

Suddenly a pressure fell inside the room as William's eyes glowed red "I will not allow that unfaithful mort- cough... nobles look down on you"

'Was he going to say mortals, well whatever' Alan acted like he didn't notice.

"Ok now go and meditate" William flashed a smile.

Alan didn't know how to absorb the stone, he wanted to ask his father but didn't want to end up in bed for another week.

'I can ask anna, she is better at explaining 'Alan got up from his seat and seeing his father's worried face he muttered before leaving "Don't worry Dad, I won't leave you guys again"

Thud!

Alan went back to his room and requested anna to teach him how to absorb.

The stone is rich in mana to absorb the stone one had to simply sit in a quiet place and meditate.

"Remember mana is like air, breathe naturally as you meditate. Keep your mind blank and feel the mana in the air. The stone releases the condensed mana and that acts as a magnet but it can be used only once, so use this opportunity properly" Anna taught as she walked back and forth like a teacher.

"Ok close your eyes and feel the mana surrounding you"

Alan could feel something entering his body. He felt it entering all the corners of his body.

An hour passed

Alan slowly Opened his eyes, he felt fresh. All the pain in his body was gone.

He remembered a bad experience 'Only if dad brought it sooner, I wouldn't have to eat that disgusting medicine'

"Oh, you look healthy Alan" anna commented in surprise.

"Yeah, I feel fresh" Alan walked without Anna's Help and laid on his bead "Yes, finally I can walk"

Alan can walk but slowly as he felt his joints were frozen, but now he can even run as he felt healthy.

Sigh!

Anna sighed

"Alan, you have to train tomorrow, although your body recovered you need to eat and train so that you will be ready before the awakening ceremony" anna reminded Alan with a concerned face.

'What type of training? maybe using Swords I guess'

Alan remembered a memory from his past life and looked at anna with a smirk on his face "Let's go tomorrow"
