Leaving his parents' room, Ted went back to his and put on the uniform.
It's been two years since he moved to this rich private school and he still can't get used to it. The uniform in this school is so much uglier than the last one.
Many teachers look haughty and his roommates are just real life version of xianxia young masters. They would bring branded items every week to show off and compare eachother.
It's still so strange for him after studying here for two years now.
"Atleast I don't have to wear a suit..." He mutters quietly while putting on the green T-shirt.
...
[10 minutes later]
*honk* *honk*
"Bye mom!" Ted shouted before he rushes toward downstairs with a school bag on his back.
It didn't take long to reach the ground floor since the building they're living in has only three floors and soon he can see his father's friend Uncle Young waiting for him in that small grey car.
Ted opened the door and sat beside Young.
"Ready to go?"
"Yeah, we can go now."
Although he heard Ted, Young wasn't sure.
"You sure? Check everything to see if you didn't forget anything. I don't want to come back again like last time."
'Last time... ' Ted thought.
Two days ago, he forgot to put his assignment papers in the school bag so Young had to make another trip.It was a waste of car gas and Young was late for work.
Fortunately his father was the big boss so Young didn't get a cut in his salary. Nevertheless, it was something that shouldn't be repeated.
"Don't worry uncle. Trust me, I checked throughly before coming down."
Ted said while a blush crept up on his face.
" *chuckles* let's go then." Seeing the teenager blushing, Young laughed abit.
...
It has been 30 minutes and the car is now on Billing Way stuck in the long traffic. Ted and Young sat inside the car looking outside while their face showing the frustration.
"Uncle, should I just walk from here on? School is not that far away from here."
Ted asks his uncle young to hear his opinion.
" Don't. The traffic will clear soon anyway."
Ted wasn't satisfied with the response.
" You know that's not true. It's school hour. All these cars both in front and on the back are entering our school."
"I do but your dad won't like it if I let you go alone."
"He would be even more angry If I'm late and the school complains to him."
Seeing he can't convince Ted, Young let out a sigh.
"Fine but be careful on your way!"
"I know." Ted said as he opens the door and exits out of the car.
It took Ted 10 minutes to arrive at the school gate and along the way, he saw the long line of cars still waiting to get inside the school.
Not just outside, cars were everywhere inside the school as well. It's almost like this place is not a school but a car dealership with all these shiny cars parked everywhere.
Walking past the student on the hallway. He arrives at the heart of the school. Looking around, there are three buildings in front of him.
He walked straight inside the middle building and walked up the stairs and soon Ted reaches his classroom.
Since the bell hasn't rung yet, everyone's just sitting on the table inside the room or roaming around the school.
Ted looks around the room to find his friend.
' I guess he's late?'
He put the bag beside his assigned chair and sat on it.
Then Ted opened his bag and grabbed the timetable sheet.
'First period is...'
It was english. Since the teacher was their homeroom teacher, school life's not that easy to bear. The man would give homework every day and check it the first thing in the morning.
As usual, Ted didn't do his homework. But unlike usual, his friend is late. Usually Ted would just copy from his friend before the bell rings.
"Dang it..." Ted mutters softly and sigh with a frown on his face.
"Ted, you alright?"
Hearing the voice, Ted turns his head only to see Nyla, one of his classmates standing beside smiling at him.
Ted was confused. He rarely talked with Nyla and in wider perspective, any of the girls.
Since the teacher usually lets students decide to group on their own for assignments. Girls usually team up with girls and he usually teams up with...
L-let's just say it's a one man army...
He would end up alone mostly since the number of students in the class are in odd numbers or he could be that extra who leeches off his teammates.
Eddie on the other hand... is very socially interactive. The guy is friends with everyone.
So back to the topic, their relationship is basically two classmates who won't ever become friends and so.... it's kind of hard to ask for homework casually...
"Uhh, nothing wrong....haha..."
Ted chuckles nervously as his right hand scratches the back of his head.
Feeling the awkward situation, Nyla's smile lessen.
"Uhh...okay then.."
As she turns around and start walking away, Ted felt hesitated. It's either talk with another gender for homework or get scolded by his mother for not doing homework.
And since, he would rather jump into the volcano than get scolded by his mother for hours about how worthless he is as a person...
"Uhh..Nyla. Have you done your English homework?"
The girl turns around. Her eyes sizing him up and Ted felt as if they're saying "Who hasn't?" ...
"Yeah? Why?"
Seeing her frown, Ted realised what kind of personality she probably has and the consequence of asking for homework...
But he still did.
"Can I copy yours? I forgot to do mine. "
