Despite the fact that I enjoyed just listening to music more than playing it myself, I still did end up learning almost all the songs that I really liked to listen to, just because I liked them that much.
Realistically, they weren't made for the piano, but at the end of the day, music pretty much always boiled down to notes that were just expressed in different ways. While they may not have been perfect copies, they were still quite close.
And while you could also turn the vocals into notes as well to be played on the piano, I opted to sing my heart out instead, well other than the background singing since I couldn't do two voices at the same time. It wasn't only because not singing usually meant playing three melodies at the same time. If I really needed to, then I could, as I've already gotten used to essentially splitting my hands to play songs that care little about the actual person playing.
