My Friend and I Reincarnated Into a Tragedy Dating Game

So I've been playing this shitty dating game along with my friend. Why is it shitty? Well, none of the damn endings are happy! You're destined to get a sad ending no matter what choices you make. But for some reason, we couldn't stop ourselves from talking about it or searching for some other ending. Ah... but I guess it doesn't matter since both of us died saving some random people we never met. ...Wait, why did I reincarnate into the villain of the shitty dating game? And my friend reincarnated as the hero? Is this... a good thing? Fuck, Nathan why are you beating yourself up? We need to make a real plan here!

Stephanie had a rather bright smile, despite talking about killing 'filth'. She then held out her dish to Sophia.

"Here you go. I apologize as I haven't prepared multiple portions. Perhaps the two of you could share?"

Sophia took it gracefully, with a wide smile.

"There is no need to apologize, I thank you for your generosity."

The actual container that the food was held in was several fairly large leaves put together. There were a variety of berries, their colors being black and red. However, it was hard to tell which ones were since they had been cooked.

I honestly don't ever remember eating fruits cooked, so I had no idea what to expect. There also appeared to be a variety of roasted seeds and some sort of green vegetables with it. There was some sort of nearly transparent and somewhat viscous red liquid on top of it all. A small thin wooden stick was stabbed in, probably acting as a toothpick.
