Chapter 5: New Beginning??

Sunday (Oct.13th)

I woke up at 8 and decided to go for a jog. I was jogging through the park when I saw the guy from yesterday plus Sean and they looked like they were arguing about something. I kept jogging and I made it home at 9 and I quickly got dressed for church. When I got to church, to my surprise Sean and his friends was sitting on the back row.

"I need make-up; I woke up later than usual today." Alexis said stopping in front of me.

I went to the row in front of Sean and them then I sat all my stuff down.

"All of it is in here; get what you need." I said handing her my make-up bag and she smiled really big.

"Do I even have to ask why you are bleeding?" She asked looking at my left leg as I got out a Band-Aid.

"I fell while jogging nothing big." I said and she nodded her head.

I put on the Band-Aid and she just smiled at me.

"I wish I had your dedication to jogging." She said.

"It helps me clear my mind and I like it." I said smiling at her.

"Oh and tell your boyfriend to warn me next time he is going to pay me an unexpected visit." I said and she laughed.

"I am going to our usual spot; just bring my make-up bag back to me once you are finished." I said and she nodded her head then I walked away.

After church I decided to take a nap and I slept for about 2 hours before I heard the doorbell ring. I knew my parents weren't home so I went downstairs to see who it was. When I got to the door, I saw Sean and I looked to see his friends weren't at his house.

"Hi." He said as I opened the door.

"Did I wake you up?" He asked looking at me.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Some help with the English homework." He said holding up his English book and notebook.

"Ok." I said moving out of his way and he walked inside then I closed the door.

"Make yourself comfortable." I said then I walked into the kitchen to get something to drink.

"Want something to drink?" I asked.

"Sure; water is fine." He said and I grabbed two water bottles.

"How did you hurt your leg?" He asked two hours later after we got finished with the English homework.

"Dirt bike accident 2 years ago." I said closing my English book.

"Do you honestly don't remember me being in a wheelchair?" I asked looking at him.

He shook his head.

I just nodded my head.

"Why did you want to do karate?" He asked.

"My grandfather got me into it; he taught me a lot that I know." I said.

"What's with all the questions?" I asked.

He just shrugged his shoulders.

"Ok so now I get to ask you questions." I said and he laughed.

"Fine go ahead." He said.

"All your brothers have a tattoo on their left arm, why don't you?" I asked.

"I do have the tattoo but I decided to get it on my back." He said.

"Were you and that dark brown hair guy arguing this morning?" I asked and he just looked at me.

"The guy talked to me yesterday. I think he was trying to flirt with me but it didn't work." I said.

He shook his head.

"Let's just say me and him don't get along." He said and I nodded my head.

Just then his phone vibrated.

"Sounds like your brothers need your help." I said then he stood up.

"Yeah but thanks for helping me out." He said as we walked towards the door.

"Just don't forget to bring it to school and turn it in." I said and he shook his head before walking out the door and I closed the door behind him.

Monday (Oct. 14th)

Sean's POV

I got to school at my regular time and 10 minutes went by and Lily still wasn't there. I know I saw her car in the driveway this morning. I shook my head trying to get my mind off of Lily. At lunch, she still wasn't there and in 6th period she wasn't there. When I got home, I noticed her car was still in the driveway along with Paul's truck.

I had just gotten out of my truck and my friends got out of their vehicles when Paul came out of the house.

"Hey dad." Paul said talking on his cell phone.

"She is sleeping now." Paul said when he got to his truck.

"Yeah she finally quit throwing up but she still had a slight fever when she went to sleep but she took something for it." Paul said.

"No I don't mind staying with her until you guys get here." He said.

"Alexis is coming by soon to give her the work that she missed today and to pick up a dress that Lily is letting her borrow." He said.

"I am about to go get some food right now. I am hoping she will be able to keep some food down because so far she hasn't." He said.

"You know Lily; she refused to go see the doctor. She says she will be better before tomorrow and if she isn't then she will go see a doctor." He said shaking his head.

"Bye." He said hanging up his phone then he got in his truck and drove away.

He returned 20 minutes later with 3 bags of groceries. Alexis arrived an hour later and left after 10 minutes.

Thursday night (Oct.17th)

Lily's POV

I was sitting in the backyard on the swing listening to the music coming from the Owens' house because Miles and them was having a party.

"Looks like someone is feeling better." Sean said and I looked to see him as he jumped the little fence that separates our back yards.

"A little." I said as he sat down beside me on the swing.

"Shouldn't you be at the party with your friends?" I asked.

"Oh they left already; only my brothers and their friends are over there." He said.

"Still they will notice you are gone." I said.

"It will take them a while to notice." He said.

We just sat there and neither one of us really talked then his phone vibrated.

"I think they noticed." I said and he looked at me then at his phone.

"Bye." I said when he stood up.

"Bye." He said looking at me then he walked away.

I shook my head and watched him walk away. I stayed outside for 15 extra minutes before going back inside the house. I fixed something to eat then I went to my room and got on my computer.

Friday

Lily's POV

"So there is so much that I have to tell you since you have been absent most of this week." Alexis said as I got out of my car at school.

"Start with how did Wednesday go?" I asked and she smiled really big.

"It was great." She said as I got out my backpack.

"I still can't believe that he made a scrapbook filled with all the pictures we have taken since we have been together." She said smiling as I closed my car door.

"Just goes to show how perfect you two are together." I said smiling at her.

"No worries one day you will have a boyfriend." She said.

"Yeah I think I can wait especially after hearing Chase and you argue so much." I said and she laughed.

"Just wait; you will get one sooner or later." She said and I shook my head.

"I pick later." I said then the bell rung so I walked towards the school building and she followed me.

I got home a little later than usual and I changed clothes before going for a jog. When I got back home, Sean was the only one in the driveway and his shirt was off as he had the hood of his truck up. I could see he had a six pack and I shook my head. I thought about walking inside my house but I decided to go see if he needed help.

"Truck problems?" I asked and he looked to see me.

"I got it handled. You wouldn't be able to help anyways." He said before looking back under the hood.

I stopped beside him and looked at what he was doing then I looked at his tools.

"You might want to use this." I said picking up a tool and holding it out towards him.

He looked at me.

"Trust me; I know some things about trucks and fixing them." I said smiling at him and he took the tool away from me.

"Where's your gang?" I asked and he laughed.

"My friends are with my brothers and their friends. They have business they need take care of and I decided to stay to work on my truck." He said without looking at me.

"Well good luck fixing your truck." I said then I started walking away.

"Oh so you don't want to stick around and see if I get it fixed?" He asked and I turned around to see him looking at me.

"Like you said you got it handled." I said.

"I might need your help." He said.

"Sean Owens, are you asking a girl for help?" I asked and he laughed.

"It's your choice; you can either stay and help if I need it or go inside and if I need help then I won't have any." He said and I nodded my head.

I walked back towards him and sat down in the chair that was beside the truck then he started working again.

"It's bigger than your brothers'." I said.

"Oh the tattoo yeah; it's one of the reasons why I got it on my back." He said without looking at me.

"I am done." He said 30 minutes later and he closed the hood to his truck.

"You want to sit down?" I asked as I was about to stand up.

"No; I can sit on this cooler I have no problem with that." He said sitting down on the cooler that was beside the chair.

"I am glad you are feeling better." He said.

"Me too; I was getting tired of staying in the house all the time." I said and he laughed.

"I better get going." I said standing up.

"Alright." He said then I walked towards my house.
