Chapter 15
It was a three days convention but John added two more days so that Alexa and himself can take a vacation too. They enjoyed the sceneries and the different delicacies of Singapore. In the morning, they both attended the convention. John also registered Alexa for her to be able to accompany him. At night they would try the street foods along the corners of the place and spent the night together in the hotel while making the night hot and full of love. Their last day, the couple was busy buying souvenirs for their parents, co-staffs, most especially Rain. From the start of their trip, Rain didn't stop pestering them about her wants from Singapore, this and that so to avoid her nonsense tantrums, they will buy everything she kept on telling them. "Rain is really a spoiled brat." John said frowning. "Mom and Dad are always giving her all her nonsense wants and now you too." John continued looking at Alexa that was busy looking for a bag. "Hubby, let her be, Rain knows her limitations. Eventhough she wants this and that, we all knew that she's selling it online to earn money for her needs." Alexa said still busy looking for Rain's stuffs. "Yeah,right,dad and mom's money and ours. She earn her money from our money. "John said still frowning. Alexa kept quiet because she knew that their conversation will not stop if she will continue arguing with him.
Monday morning, Alexa and John prepared early coz they know many of his patients will come this day and they were correct. On Alexa's list, it was about 30 patients but still, there are few that are coming to list their names. Looking at each other, the couple could only smile at their best.
Atlast, Alexa put "The doctor is out" infront of the clinic's door. The couple helped each other arranging the files so that they could go home early and rest. A knock from the door and Mike entered. "How's was the honeymoon?" Mike teasing the two. Alexa blushed. "It was fun and wild." John said winking at Alexa. "When your together, your really happy making fun of me!" Alexa pouted her lips. The two men laugh. "Hmmp, im going to the laboratory!" Alexa said while handling Mike his souvenir. "Thank you!" Mike said.
When Alexa left, Mike's face become serious. "What's up?" John felt that there was something bothering his cousin. "We looked at the cctv footages of the hospital but the culprit knew of the blind spots so we're not able to see who he really was. Bogs (the bodyguard) saw this in your car." Mike said while giving a note again to John. "Bastard, I will get your girl one of this day, I will savour every inch of her body, I will make her cry of satisfaction, I will make her mine, only mine!" John can't explain what is he feeling right now. He's angry, fear enveloped his whole body, he's afraid. They don't have any idea of who was behind all of these. All he can do is to protect his beloved but how and from whom.
After giving the souvenirs to their co-staffs, Alexa is walking along the corridor, again she felt that there was someone behind her but when she looked back, no one was present. Alexa continued walking coming back to their clinic. Alexa didn't noticed Dr. Matthew who entered the bathroom to hide. "Don't worry sweetie, I'll be coming for you. I will enjoy you for the rest of my life." Dr. Matthew silently whispered with an evil smile on his face.
