CHAPTER 19: I KNOW NOTHING.
"Huuh how can you say that Ivana, l won't leave you alone, l know you need someone to talk to and l will be available no matter how you will be or talk to me,say to me,your attitude and moods. I will bear with it. I won't judge you, so move am going to sleep here until you decide to wake up"
"No way, l don't share my bed with you, l mean l ...l have never shared my bed with anyone, it's okward you know"...fine l will wake up now.
"Yes l wanted that " Mish chuckled
"Can you fill my bath tu.....ooh that's my phone's ringtone"
"Hello uncle"
" Hello Ivana, how are you doing?"
"I will be lying if l say l am fine...but l am trying uncle"
"Okay that's fine, will you please come and open the gate, am here at your mansion l want to discuss something with you"
"Huh you are here? What do you want to discuss with me uncle? About the burial or?
"No no...it's something important. It's about the company sweetheart" Mr Mukhongo said.
"Ooh about that Just a minute then".
She opened the gate and welcomed him inside in the sitting room.
" Actually Ivana l am so sorry, the board requested the meeting today but l didn't inform you because l thought it won't be convenient for you. Hope you don't mind."
"Ooh about that l don't mind, even dad never informed me about the company's well-being,so it's just fine".
"Okay didn't your dad tell you about the will or like taking care of the company when he dies, like when you were in the hospital. Did he tell you anything?"
"Like l said before uncle, dad never talked with me about the company , I know nothing.Is there something l need to know?"
"Actually the board requested for the will of your dad and your presence the next meeting. Since you are the only daughter. I think you are the hairess. So l will inform you when the meeting is."
"I think uncle we need to bury dad before the will is read. Anyway l will talk to the priest about the Memorial Mass before l decide on the burial date.
" Okay then , l will take my leave now, say hi to my daughter" and with that he left.
He climbed into his car and decided to inform her. He informed Mrs Wechuli that Ivana has no idea about the contract or anything to do with the company. So they are on the safe side but they should not celebrate until the will is read.
After Mr Mukhongo leaving Ivana went and took her already prepared bath. They left for the market. But all these time Ivana had numerous questions in her mind. She decided not to drive unless she wants to cause an accident. Mish was the one who drove as she relaxed on the passenger seat.
She didn't know why her uncle decided to talk to her about the company. Something is a mess.
