CHAPTER 148: ANGER
So after her father have left, Mish decided to leave too. Now that her father had already sold one of the cars that she inherited from her Uncle she had to use a taxi.
She left leaving Brenda alone, since they were having similar missions she tried accessing Mr Mukhongo's bedroom. Unfortunately for her it was locked, so she returned back to the kitchen and continued relaxing.
When Mish reached Ivana's place she didn't find her.
"Where is your boss?" Mish asked Charo arrogantly. Charo was washing the cars at the parking lot.
"She left for the graveyard" Charo answered without sparing her a glaze. He knew Mish to well and unfortunately for them they don't get along to well because if Mish's dictative nature.
"Do you know who I am young man? Incase you have forgotten your boss is my sister" she said as she continued standing outside. Other workers just ignored her and continued doing their work.
"Let me ask you, why did you let her drive herself?" She looked at Charo who have now finished washing the vehicles from head to toes.
"If ma'am Ivana is your sister, you know the reason why. But since you don't reneu things so quickly I will let you know that. Ma'am Ivana first like visiting her dad's grave with any person but since she is pregnant she agreed to tag Milka along after too much persuasion from us" and with having said that Charo left the parking lot and walked towards the other side of the mansion.
No one welcomed Mish inside the house, she continued standing outside. When she got tired of standing she walked to the house porch and sat on the chair.
She leaned her head on one of her hand as she wished to have buried her mother here in the municipality graveyard. But since she was bitter towards Ivana and wanted to teach her a lesson. She had the audacity to cremate her mother's body and took the remains back to her mother's ancestral land.
'I wish I had not done that out of anger, I wish I can reverse time' she thought almost at the edge of crying. 'sometimes anger can prevent us from seeing the reality.'
The sound of a moving car made her look towards the gate. As she expected it was Ivana coming back from visiting her dad's grave together with Milka. She stood up hurriedly and walked outside to meet them.
"Mish you didn't tell me you are coming I could have postponed on visiting my dad" Ivana said as she walked towards her.
Mish run towards her and pulled her into a tight emotional hug and she wrote on Ivana's shoulder. Ivana didn't understand why she was hugging her so she just hugged Mish back as she wanted for her to pulled out from the hug.
"Ivana I am so sorry that my stupidity made me cremate my mother. I wish I had buried her Ivana."
"Hey hey Mish, shush that is in the past now" Ivana said as she tried wiping away tears from Mish's eyes.She said like that to her at that time she didn't understand what Mish was talking about.
"Ivana,Mish called as she bowed her head, Ivana step forward and held her hands in hers. "I am sorry, you know when Mum died I was very angry at you. I thought you are the one who had caused her death. So I was just looking for someone to blame, and unfortunately it was you I blamed" Mish said while avoiding Ivana's eye contact.
"Mish I you already apologized and I understand my dear okay stop crying now." Ivana said to her sincerely.
"No Ivana you don't understand, my biggest regret is because of my anger for you, I cremated my mother just because I didn't want you to attend her burial ceremony. Now what pains most is that I buried her cremains in her ancestral home, I can't visit her grave like you. I am so stupid Ivana, I ama so stupid."Mish said as she cried again.
"It already happened Mish, I understand but if you want to visit your mum's grave,you will be going to upcountry."
"I don't think if I will be doing that everytime possible because I don't get along well with my Aunty lydia." Mish said apologetically.
"Hey, Ivana and Ma'am Mish you can't continue standing outside like that. Remember you are Pregnant Ivana and I don't want you getting any completion during giving birth" Milka said to them because when Milka run to hug Ivana when they alighted from the car. She walked straight to the house, she went to kitchen to prepare coffee and blended mango incase Ivana craves for it.
"Okay motherhen" Ivana replied jokingly to Milka who smiled at her.
Mish looked at Milka then back to Ivana questioningly. Ivana knew what she was about to ask her so she decided to answer Mish.
"I told them to address me by my name but Milka is the only one who obeyed that the other workers refused" Ivana said .
"I was about to ask you that" Mish said as they walked inside the house. She looked at the way Ivana's mansion was sparkling clean. The way the seats and couches were arranged then admired it inwardly.
"Ivana you are lucky that you have alot of workers that's why your life is smooth. Do you know that my father fired all the workers saying that we don't need their services?"
"I didn't know that, but why?"
"He said that he doesn't have money to waste on them, yet we have only remained two of us. Imagine he wants me to be doing all the chores that maid were doing. But I was lucky enough to retain one maid and one driver." She said with arrogance.
"But Mish,Uncle is right you can cook yourself and wash your clothes actually you don't need them. The money you are using to pay them you can save it." Ivana adviced her.
