Chapter 57 – Overthinking
Fan regulator at number 5, the highest.
Fan blades rotated at their fastest.
A glass of water on the table and a bowl of untouched noodles by the side.
A cool, comfy room.
One would expect it to look nice but it didn't at the moment.
It was cluttered.
Everything was in disarray.
Clothes were scattered on the floor at different points.
A loud cry followed.
"Father!"
Karmen jerked up from her bed, screaming and sweating.
Her pillow was wet due to her profuse sweating.
It was all a dream.
The image of her father.
The scene of her childhood.
None of them were real.
A nightmare.
One that she never wished to have again.
Her trauma was getting the best of her.
Karmen's heart almost flew out of her chest.
Her breath was fast and her chest was visibly heaving.
