Chapter 17: of course I'd save you, why wouldn't I?

" Darn it, where the hell did she go!!!" The robber growled angrily, it was to be expected since what just happened was no different than stealing meat from the mouth of a beast.

He was just about to help himself to her forbidden fruit only for this to happen?, what kind of blasted luck was that!.

The robber squinted his eyelids, his eyes glancing around cautiously.

With the store now submerged in darkness, he found it hard to make heads or tails of his surroundings.

Meanwhile as the robber was turning left and right vigilantly probably afraid of being jumped by something the next second, two pairs of eyes coldly glared towards him from an inconspicuous corner in the store.

The two pairs of eyes naturally belonged to the cashier and the stealthy Lu Xin.

At the time that Lu Xin took out all the lights in the store, the female cashier took that as an opportunity to escape from the disgusting robbers arms yet never did Lu Xin expect her to immediately move towards his location.

It was a clear fact that even her herself nor the robber neither knew of his location earlier so the only logical reason he could think of was that she had managed to pinpoint his location when he was shattering all the store's lights.

To shatter the light's he made use of a few round little hard candies he found in one of the store's isle's/shelf's, the candies themselves were no bigger than a child's marble ball so for her to pinpoint his location on only that, left him stupefied.

The silver haired cashier had her head lowered, her silver string's blocking her face yet the stray strings of hair didn't seem to diminish her beauty at all instead they made her look rather cute and mysterious instead.

" W-Why?..." She asked all of a sudden.

" Why what?" Lu Xin raised a brow as he asked back, his mesmerizing eyes filled with curiosity as he gazed at the lady beside him.

" Why did you do that..." She mumbled to herself yet Lu Xin was still able to pic up on her light words with his keen ears.

" Uhh I did it to save you?, is something wrong with that?" Lu Xin looked genuinely confused as he replied back.

" But I was..., after all I said to you earlier, why would you still wanna save me, I even put your life at risk by exposing our location earlier ~" She said in light flustered tone but Lu Xin was still able to notice the vibrant emotions within her word's.

" And why would that matter?" Lu Xin rolled his eyes at her wondering what the problem was with that.

" Huh‽, But–"

" Hey keep your voice down will you..." He used his smooth hands to quickly cover her mouth.

He quickly went back to taking a peek at the robber, only after making sure their location was not exposed did he calm down, he looked back towards the silver haired beauty beside him, a hint of annoyance in his eyes.

When she noticed his annoyance the female cashier decided to keep quiet out of fear of pushing him anymore yet even though she was quiet, her mind was still occupied by several thoughts, the majority in particular could even cause the kind young man to feel stupefied.

After a few moments of silence Lu Xin turned towards her once more only to notice that her eyes were still staring at him intently till now?.

He lightly brushed it off as a coincidence before asking.

" So what should we do now?" Lu Xin asked the silver haired cashier in a light tone so as to not alert the robber on their current location.

The silver beauty stared towards the robber before returning her gaze, she looked towards Lu Xin silently not saying a word unlike her earlier talkative self.

' Ayi....not gonna talk now huh?, well at least this way she won't blow our cover again ' he thought inwardly.

Lu Xin seeing her reaction let out a sigh, he shook his head tiredly before continuing. " Nevermind then.., I've already alerted the law enforcement on our current situation so they should arrive here soon enough, all we have to do is make sure not to get caught till then alright?"

The silver haired beauty nodded lightly though still remaining silent.

" Good" Lu Xin smiled lightly before going back to monitoring the clueless robber, unlike the latter, Lu Xin's eyesight was far more better.

Though it was still dark he could still make out the man's silhouette no problem.
