"Oh," disappointment was evident in her voice and Eli held her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. "I thought you have met my father." 

"Sorry for disappointing you." 

"It's alright," Belle retorted while trying her best to cheer up. "I know that it's impossible to find them. By the way, when are we going to check on your son?" 

"Right! Let me get him first." Jillyanna stood up and left to get her son upstairs. 

Left in the living room, Belle immediately pulled her hand away from Eli. There was no need to act when no one was watching them. "I'm fine," she said even though she was feeling the opposite.
