Belle went back to the kitchen and prepared breakfast for her brother. She also set the table for Eli since he would have to leave in a few hours.
This time, she knocked on Neon's room before going inside. She didn't want to see her brother clinging to Eli once again. She'd be dying of jealousy.
[Seriously. I think you have a brother – complex.]
(I don't. I give so much importance to him because he's the only family I have. I'm afraid that he would become more attached to other people than me.)
[I doubt that. I am pretty sure that Neon looks up to you more than anyone else.]
Belle placed the food tray on the bedside table and sat next to her brother who seemed really stressed about what happened. "Neon, why don't you eat breakfast first? Then, we'll talk about what happened."
"I'm not hungry," her brother answered softly; gone was the cheerful child that she worked so hard for to live happily.
