Into the lamp (1)

Lily and Rosemary look around. To their shock the classroom was gone. All round there were no walls. Pure white like a blank canvas. A mist rolls to a man walking toward them. He was more of a boy then a man. Looking a be about twelve years old. His eyes held more to an ageless look. His outer wear of a young man serving a noble knight. His tunic and breech were wood brown with a little green to them. And the look of fine leather boots had little wear to them. His looks so cute that if he got older his handsome feature will show through. His blue eyes hold a gentle look.

"Welcome to the dream lamp." Lily was a little out of it. Rosemary smile to the boy.

"Hello there" The young boy smile. He bow very deep to them and he held his arms wide.

"I have food and drinks if you will join me that the table I have prepared for you." He show them to the table that appear in front of them. On the table were fruits and look to be fruit juice in the pitcher.

"Sorry I forgot the chairs. Hold on a minute." The girls stood to the side and trying not to laugh.

"You must forgive me. I have not had visitors in a long time. Or do I have visit anybody in thousand of years." The chairs appear at the table. He jester to the chairs. The girls sat and picked at the fruit. He made cups appear and pour some fruit juice for them.

"Please do not worried for I can get you more things to eat." The girls didn't stop they are so hungry. He smile and made more food appear.

"You can eat and I will tell you the history of the dream world. It started thousands of years. To be around ten thousands of years if I can remember. You must forgive me again. I have been waiting for the two of you to appear. Before I get to that. We will start with me and my brothers."

"Who are you first? I am Rosemary and this is Lily." The boy turn red. How can he forget his manner.

"I am Morpheus."

"Well Morpheus. Can you tell us your story?"

"Right in the beginning. We were in charge of dreams. We made the world of dream. The hopes and dreams of mortal men. To bring peace of mind and a hope for the future. My brothers Phobetor, Phantasos, and Ikelos. Each one of us has a job. Ikelos bring true dreams more like realistic. The feeling of the real world. Phantasos create fake and illusional dreams. Phobetor creates nightmares. I am responsible for the dream world. I am the master of dreams."

"The master of dreams?"

"Yes well you might say that I am in charge of my brothers. One of my brother did not agree with this. He change as time with on. Phobetor is the one I am talking about. He thought that if he can make more nightmares with in mortal men. Than maybe his power will grow. He have made men go crazy and even brought death to them. We three decided to put a stop to it. We trap him and put him to sleep. But we knew that one day he would return. There would be one or two that would stop him. We can't tell you how or went. I will tell one thing and it has to do with what we do today. You will learn how to be a dream maker." The girls finish their meal. Lily stay quite the whole time and let Rosemary do the talking. Lily wanted to know some thing.

"Morpheus about your brother."

"Ask and I will tell what I know."

"What change him?"

"I think that over time in doing nightmares for mortal men. That the influence of evil of feeling that mortals have. That he got power or it can be how can you say the high feeling of power. The evil change him and he can't come back to what he was. Over the centuries I have tried to remove evil from him. With the damons feeding him evil. It's a losing battle."

"I have a one more question. Why are you here to meet us?" He smile at her.

"You might have the ability to change him back. Or to help keep him in the eternal sleep. I can see that you are do not trust me in this. It's okay for now." Rosemary look at Lily and knew that she need protection. With that she did not trust any body or any one. Her trust has been broken by her mother and father.

"Morpheus?" He turn to Rosemary and kept on smiling. He tried to keep a friendly impression. He never lost him self and he was not about to do it now. He nodded at her.

"Is there a way to change him? It might be hard to do."

"I know that there might not be a way to change him. I wish you will try. Against all hope, I hope you will try."

"What if we can't even if we try our hardest." Lily was quiet this whole time until now. Morpheus turn with a sad smile.

"Than I know you have tried. Now then there is no more about this. We will started the training for you two." He got up and turn around. He reduce the mist and made a long table appeared. He looked back at the girls appears. Turning back to the table. He made two sets of clothes, black in color. Two set of pants and two set of t-shirts.

"Come here." The two girls come over. "Try them on." The girls looked around. He looked too. Forgetting that the girls won't change in front of him. He slap his forehead with his palm. With a hand he made a tent in front of them. The girls were grateful for the tent. Once they were done the clothes were a little big. And they had no shoes. Morpheus took a good look at them. He walked around them, adjusted their clothes and add shoes to their feet. All other items disappeared. The girls wanted to know why the were dress like this. But he kept look to see if he amiss any thing.

"All right we are set to go."
