Chapter Two_ Christmas Day

The next morning

Today was Christmas day.

I was so nervous because today I would have to tell my dad my mom and my twin brother with the fact that I am pregnant.

I woke up to see the sun shining through our bedroom curtains I looked to my left to see that Patrick wasn't in bed with me I then heard the shower running so I knew that he was having a shower I checked my iPhone and saw that I had a message from my mom asking me when we was coming over I messaged her back saying that me and Patrick would be an hour as we've only just got up.

I got out of bed and I went into my walk in wardrobe I got dressed into a comfy outfit for today when I was done getting changed I walked back into our bedroom I then walked to the bathroom door and I knocked it that's when I heard his voice.

Lucy Downey: Honey.

Patrick Dempsey: Yeah what is it baby.

Lucy Downey: Can I come and brush my teeth.

Patrick Dempsey: Yeah of course you can I'm done getting changed anyway.

I opened the bathroom to see Patrick doing up his shirt I walked in and I brushed my hair and teeth.

Lucy Downey: How long have you been up for.

Patrick Dempsey: I've only been up for about thirty minutes by the way you look beautiful.

Lucy Downey: You really think so.

Patrick Dempsey: Yeah of course you do you look amazing.

Lucy Downey: Thanks babe by the way we have to be at my parents in an hour all the presents are already in your jeep I put them in there last night.

Patrick Dempsey: Ok are we making breakfast or are we having it at your parents.

Lucy Downey: They said there doing breakfast today.

Patrick Dempsey: Yeah ok that's fine by me let's get our stuff and then we can get going.

Lucy Downey: Ok.

We walked back into our bedroom I grabbed my backpack and my iPhone Patrick also grabbed his iPhone and his car keys we then walked out the bedroom and we walked downstairs we went into the kitchen I grabbed a bottle of water out the fridge and I took my prenatal vitamins for the day.

We then walked out the kitchen and out of the house we got into his jeep and he drove out the driveway.

Skip the rides to my parents house

Patrick pulled into my parents property the gates closed behind us he then parked his jeep by the front of the house.

Patrick Dempsey: Babe what's wrong.

Lucy Downey: I'm fucking terrified to tell my dad and brother about the baby what if he hates me.

Patrick Dempsey: Honey look at me please.

I looked into his eyes he could see how scared I was.

Patrick Dempsey: Your father and twin brother won't hate you I promise they'll be happy about us having a baby I promise you.

Lucy Downey: I just hope your right.

Patrick Dempsey: Babe why don't you go inside with Luca and I'll get the presents out the car.

Lucy Downey: Are you sure babe.

Patrick Dempsey: Yeah of course I'm sure go inside I won't be long I promise.

We got out the car I got Luca out the backseat I then looked at Patrick.

Lucy Downey: Don't take to long babe.

Patrick Dempsey: I won't honey I promise.

Lucy Downey: Ok.

I walked into the house while Patrick got the presents.

Patrick's POV

I waited for Lucy to go into the house I then grabbed my iPhone out my pocket and I messaged Indio to say that I was here.

Five minutes later

I was waiting for Indio when I heard his voice.

Indio Downey: Patrick.

I turned round to come face to face with Indio.

Patrick Dempsey: Hey Indio how are you.

Indio Downey: I'm good Patrick how are you.

Patrick Dempsey: I'm good do you have the ring.

Indio Downey: Yeah I've got it here.

I saw him reach into his pocket and he pulled out the ring box that contained the engagement ring that I had got for Lucy because today I was going to ask her to marry me he went to hand it to me.

Indio Downey: Patrick promise me one thing.

Patrick Dempsey: Yeah what is it.

Indio Downey: Promise me you won't hurt my twin sister.

Patrick Dempsey: I won't I promise Indio I love her too much.

Indio Downey: That's good to hear your both perfect for each other and I'm happy for you.

Patrick Dempsey: Thanks Indio.

Indio Downey: No problem Patrick would you like some help with the presents.

Patrick Dempsey: Yes please Indio thank you.

He helped me get the presents out my jeep when we got them out we carried them into the house and we put them under the Christmas tree that was in the living room.

Lucy's POV

I was in the kitchen with my mom and dad when Indio and Patrick walked into the kitchen.

Lucy Downey: There you are babe Indio where did you go.

Indio Downey: I went to help Patrick with the presents.

Lucy Downey: Indy you didn't have to do that.

Indio Downey: I wanted to help him it's the least I could do.

Patrick Dempsey: Thanks for the help Indio it really was nice of you to help me.

Indio Downey: No problem Patrick now come on let's enjoy some breakfast.

Me Indio and Patrick sat down at the dining table my mom and dad bought our plates of food over to the table they then sat down with there food and we enjoyed our breakfast.

One hour later

We was all in the living room and we had just finished playing a Christmas game it was finally time for the presents I decided to give them my presents first that would reveal the fact that I was pregnant I handed my dad and brother the presents.

Lucy Downey: Before you open them please don't be made at me or Patrick he only found out yesterday.

They opened the presents and once they realised what it said they looked at me.

Robert Downey Jr: Your pregnant.

Lucy Downey: Yeah two months pregnant to be exact I wanted to wait till I knew the baby was actually safe I'm sorry for not telling you sooner but you know what happened to me before I didn't want anyone knowing and then it happens again.

They both stood up they walked over to me and they hugged me.

Robert Downey Jr: We're both happy for you and Patrick you'll make amazing parents I know you will.

Lucy Downey: Thanks dad thanks Indio it means a lot I've been so nervous about this.

Indio Downey: We understand why you didn't tell us sooner we're not angry at you sis.

One hour later

We had opened all the presents Patrick stood up he then turned to me again.

Patrick Dempsey: Honey can I ask you something.

Lucy Downey: Yeah of course what is it.

He got down on one knee and he held my hand.

Patrick Dempsey: Lucy from the moment that we met I knew that you was the girl I was going to spend the rest of my life with.

He grabbed a small square box out of his pocket he opened it to reveal a beautiful diamond engagement ring.

Patrick Dempsey: Lucy your the girl that I want to spend the rest of my life with will you marry me.

Lucy Downey: Yes of course I'll marry you Patrick.

He put the ring on my finger then he stood up and he kissed me.

Lucy Downey: I love you so much.

Patrick Dempsey: I love you too Lucy more than anything.

I whispered into Patrick's ear.

Lucy Downey:(whisper) We had better tell my dad and brother about our baby.

Patrick Dempsey: Ok you grab your fathers present and I'll grab your brothers present.

Lucy Downey: Ok that's fine by me.

We grabbed my twin brothers and my dad's present we gave them the presents.

Lucy Downey: Now before you open these I've known for two months but Patrick only found out yesterday I wanted to wait till we knew jellybean was ok so you can open your presents now.

They opened there presents once they saw what the gifts said Indio looked at me.

Indio Downey: Your really pregnant this isn't a joke.

Lucy Downey: Yes I'm really pregnant I have been for almost three months I wanted to make sure that the baby was ok before I told you.

Indio Downey: I'm going to be an uncle finally.

Lucy Downey: So your not angry Indio.

Indio Downey: Of course I'm not angry Lucy your pregnant and I'm finally going to be an uncle>

He stood up then he walked over to me and he hugged me.

Lucy Downey: Thanks Indio I was so scared to tell you.

Indio Downey: Why was you so scared to tell me sis.

Lucy Downey: Because I was scared of how you would react and if you would hate me.

Indio Downey: Hey I could never hate you your my twin sister and I'll always be there for you we've been through so much together and nothing will ever change that you'll always be my sister no matter what I'll be there for you Patrick and your baby ok.

Lucy Downey: Ok I love you Indio.

He hugged me again I hugged him back.

Robert Downey Jr: I'm so happy for you and Patrick princess your going to make amazing parents.

Lucy Downey: Thanks dad.

Four hours later

We had just had our Christmas dinner me Patrick and Indio was sitting in the living room when there was a knock on the front door Patrick stood up and he looked at me.

Patrick Dempsey: Babe I have a surprise for you I won't be long.

Lucy Downey: Ok babe.

He walked to the front door and he opened it I heard Eric's voice.

Eric Dane: Yeah I have it right here.

Patrick Dempsey: Thanks man I'll talk to you later.

Eric Dane: Ok and Merry Christmas to you and Lucy.

Patrick Dempsey: Thanks man.

I heard Patrick close the front door he walked into the living room I saw him holding something in his arms I then realised it was an F2 Savannah kitten.

Lucy Downey: Is the kitten for me.

Patrick Dempsey: Yeah I know how much you've wanted one merry christmas babe.

Lucy Downey: Is it a girl or a boy.

Patrick Dempsey: She's a girl so what are you naming her.

Lucy Downey: I was thinking Meredith.

The kitten looked at me Patrick handed her to me.

Lucy Downey: Do you like that name hey Meredith.

The kitten rubbed up against me.

Lucy Downey: God I love you.

Five hours later

Me and Patrick had gone home with Meredith Luca loved her.

One hour later

Me and Patrick decided to call it a night we was cuddled up in bed and we fell asleep in each others arms not long after that.
