"Where are you going, Daddy?" asked Sasha as she sat beside Robbie, whose legs were crossed on the white sofa. He tried not to tap his black leather shoes on the floor as he waited on his wife who was still taking her sweet time getting ready for the night. He glanced at his watch before answering his daughter's query.
"Your mom and I are going on a date tonight, " he replied as he hid his annoyance.
What is taking Alex so long?
He was starting to get impatient. He uncrossed his legs and was about to get up when his daughter asked him another question that made him stop.
"Can I go on a date, too?" asked Sasha innocently that made him creased his brows and faced his daughter. The girl smiled widely as his father stared at her in disbelief.
"Don't you get any ideas now, little girl. How did you even know what date means?"
"Daddy, I'm ten years old. I have been watching movies and TV shows about people going out on a date."
