My Careful Lover

"What do you want from me?" Moon stared right back at him with her hands crossed in front of her chest. "Isn't it obvious already?" "it is not because I still don't get why you did what you-" "I want you, simple" Moon let out a dry laugh. "I have already made it clear to you that I am not interested in any boyfriend-girlfriend complicated mess." This time around it was Ocean who chuckled "I see. I was hoping to take baby steps with you, but it seems you are in a hurry, Marriage it is then." "I am not interested in marriage either. I don't want to marry." "What a pity" He shook his head with a smirk playing on his lips "Are you scared that I won't love you enough? well, I promise to love, respect and cherish you till not even death can do us part. I promise to make love to you anytime you want-" "You are crazy" She shook her head in disbelief. "I don't know if that is the right response to a wedding vow, even though we both know that I am crazy about you. Pick a date for the marriage as we would be going to see your people tomorrow." "The date is never" Moon expected him to get angry over her response but he just grinned innocently at her. "You are a funny girl. I will let you sleep over it as I would be expecting my response after we visit my useless in-laws tomorrow. Goodnight, my sweet rabbit teeth neighbour." before she could say another word he pecked her lips and walked away with a broad smile. #vampire #romance #powerfulcouple #vampreromance #werewolf

ELDER SISTER

Inside the conference room, Ocean introduced Bobby, who was sweating bullets under the layers of the suit Stone made him wear. Ocean watched with careful eyes as everyone in the room scrutinized Bobby, but nobody dared to question his decision.

After the introduction, Ocean led Bobby to his office located on the rooftop. Ocean and Stone went over the company's rules and regulations with Bobby as they took their time in explaining what each one meant. After they were done going over the rules and regulations, Ocean decided to take a stroll, well, not exactly a stroll.

"I will be back in a short time" Came Ocean's voice as he started walking towards the door.

"I highly doubt," Stone teased, knowing fully well where Ocean was headed.

Ocean's heavy boots continuously collided with the floor as he eagerly descended the stairs. On reaching the ground floor, he saw the familiar figure of his neighbour walking towards a lady who was wearing a beautiful green dress that hugged her body perfectly together with her white stilettos. The dress wasn't what caught his attention, but the look of bitterness, disgust and anger that her light brown eyes held as she looked at Moon who stood in front of her. He slowly walked towards them from behind and stopped a few meters away as he listened to their conversation.

"So it is true. You found yourself a new job in a big company. Hope you added 'home breaker' as one of your hobbies while preparing your CV?" The stranger spat coldly as she held onto her clutch bag tightly.

"Jane, this is not the right place for this—" Moon tried pleading with her sister as she looked around.

"Oh, why? You don't want people to know how you wrecked your sister's marriage in a blink of an eye, claiming to be drunk?!" The lady's voice went higher, drawing people's attention.

"Jane, please lets us talk outside—"

"I am not stepping out of this place with a disgusting person like you. Moon, tell me where and what I did wrong that you had to go to this extent to destroy my life. Right from when we were little, I shared everything with you. I protected you. What did I get in return? Betrayal!"

"Jane, I made a big mistake, but trust me, I regret it every day of my life,"

"No, you don't! Moon, you don't regret a bit of anything. You did it on purpose! You think I don't know that you have been in love with my husband for years. That is why you have been rejecting every suitor that has asked for your dirty hand in marriage. You even applied to his company to get his attention!"

"Jane, that is not true!" Out of anger, Jane is fast to smack Moon hard on her left cheek, causing everybody going about their businesses to stop and watch except Ocean, who immediately made an appearance. Moon clenched her aching cheeks as her eyes watered, not knowing what to do. Not like slapping back was not a good option, but she knew if she should take such action, she would be as good as dead.

Jane, who loved the attention she got as more people gathered around to watch the drama, fisted her hand in Moon's hair, painfully yanking it back and forth, making the girl cry out in pain. Before she left her apartment, she promised to make Moon beg for her life. To make her feel even if it was just one-quarter of her pain.

"Don't ever interrupt me while talking—" Jane couldn't finish her statement as she felt a tight grip on her hands,

"Let go," Ocean said gritted out as his grip on the lady's wrist tightened.

"Now,"

"Ahh!" Jane yelped and immediately untangled her hands from Moon's hair, but that didn't lessen Ocean's grip as he was burning with anger.

"Get your hands off me this instant!" Jane commanded the stranger, hoping he would obey. But the man had his eyes on her Moon, who stared at him in surprise.

Ocean's jaw clenched further as he saw the fingerprints on Moon's face and the tears that stained her face. He finally removed his hands from Jane's wrist only to tightly grab her jaw, making sure to draw out blood from her cheeks.

"You should thank your stars that I don't hit women. If not, you would be on your way to hell." His grip was so tight that Jane couldn't help but whimper.

"I don't know who you are, and I don't care, but let this be the last time I will see you here. If you are looking for attention, I will advise you to find somewhere else, not my workplace. I might have let you off today but don't think it was going to be the same next time I see you touch her..." He leaned closer in a way nobody would hear what he was about to say,

"She now belongs to me, and I don't like it when people tamper with what's mine. She is mine to hurt and to love," he watched as her eyebrows furrowed out of anger. He leaned back again and flashed her an eerie smile that sent chills down her spine while his grip on her face tightened, making her groan in pain.

His jaw ticked now and then as he glared at the lady, "How does it feel, huh? Hurt her again, and I promise to double the pain for every one of you!"

"Mr neighbour, please, let go of her," came Moon's panicked voice as she saw the blood that gathered in Jane's mouth.

"Are you sure about that?" He asked with a frown, eliciting a vigorous nod from her.

Ocean reluctantly released the lady at Moon's request. As soon Ocean's hand left Jane's face, she held onto her jaw, knowing that his fingerprints must have shown. she spat blood on the floor and glared at Ocean, who hummed in satisfaction.

"You just made the biggest mistake of your life" Jane directed her words at Ocean as she turned around and left the building.

Ocean turned to Moon, who was beginning to hyperventilate.

"Do you want to take a walk?"
