Chapter 11

I woke up to the alarm clock and got ready for the day. I felt as though my life as I know it is about to change. I got changed and was on my way to the observatory. I looked through the security footage and saw HIM. He was walking around the neighborhood. What is he doing here? Thankfully his car broke down and he wanted to make a phone call. He walked to Francesca Hollerman's house and she called him a tow truck. She tried to flirt with him but he wouldn't even look at her. Why would he? She wasn't his type. I kept praying that he won't come back and thankfully my prayers were answered.

At least it felt that way for a week. He moved down the block and my anxiety attacks decided to move back in with me. I would wake up in the middle of the night screaming. Mercifully my family had thought of it beforehand and reinforced the walls and made them soundproof. I started to have hand tremors, heart palpitations, dizziness and nausea. There was chest pain and shortness of breath.

I had changed my name so he won't know it was me. I went Elizabeth to Isabella. He spent most of his time in his house. He sometimes would be seen walking about. He seemed preoccupied to wander around. Francesca makes it a habit to visit him but like I said he ignores like she is a fly. I decided to play sick so I wouldn't have to get out.

The screamer seemed to sense a change in my attitude and his visits became frequent. That only made my anxiety attacks worse because some of those days HE would be out and about. I felt like he would show up at my door any day, any time.

He finally arrived at my door when Francesca went overboard with the flirting. He walked out of her house and she chased after him. Demanding that he explain why she is not good enough. He turned around and said he is married. She wanted to meet his wife and he said they were separated but will introduce her soon. In his defense he was trying to blow her off. She wouldn't give up. Finally he walked up to my porch and tried to open the door. She reminded him this was not his house. This house belongs to a woman in a wheelchair. He was too wary to listen so he finally started to knock on the door. Old man Buchanan kindly reminded him that his house at the end of the block and has a V-Rod motorcycle parked upfront. He saw that it wasn't there so he smiled and walked away. He asked about me and the old man said that I am reclusive. He seemed very intrigued and asked him to introduce me. I lost the feeling in my leg as my left arm went numb. My pulse pounding in my ears and I felt light headed.

Greta shook me awake. I was on the floor. She helped me get back in the wheelchair. She was crying when dad came barged in and he wasn't alone. Dad wanted to know what happened. I was about to explain when I saw the extra was the screamer. I asked dad, "The fudge is he doing here?" Dad threw him out of the house kicking and screaming. He asked Greta to stay here from now on. She completed the day's work and came back with her luggage. The screamer watched as she settled in. He knew that his days of sneaking in are officially over.

He knocked on the door wanting to know what happened. He understood there was a reason behind my behavior. He just wanted to what the reason was. I wanted to open the door but I was scared that he might show up. HE did show a genuine interest in this mystery woman that lives here. Surprisingly he never showed up.
