Chapter 27: A New Werewolf Student

"Noooo!" A splash of blood spilled over the vacant lot of the campus. The leader of the gang was speechless and stared at the bloody knife within his grip.

"Se– Sebastian... Sebastian Woo?" He stuttered, shocked, and couldn't blink his eyes. "H–how did you find us?" He asked the boy who stood right before him.

"I warned you the other night! But you– but you...,"

Sebastian stopped at the moment. His gaze stuck on the girl soaked up with blood. Her cheeks bled, cried out silently out of the pain she felt.

He clenched his jaw while Roy walked to Halora and quickly wiped her wounded face gently.

"Bring her to the clinic, now!" He clamored without looking at somewhere else. His eyes started to change, his canine teeth became sharper and pointed.

"Can you still walk, Halora?" Roy asked her shortly. He knew it was too painful to bear but he never saw any hint of hatred and anger.

She gave him a genuine smile. Despite everything that happened, she slowly stood as Roy lent to her the broken eyeglasses.

"Do you think I will allow them to go to the clinic just like that, huh?"

"Step back, throw that knife and let us meet tonight. No one will be going to know the truth, just let us go right now."

To avoid any commotion inside of the campus, Sebastian controlled the rage that lived inside of his body. He swallowed his pride, agreed with the group of evil gangsters.

"Tonight your ass! Do not try to fool me again, Woo! You know what I'm capable of and I can kill anyone else that is special to you!"

He was still holding the pocket knife until they heard someone whistled. "Master, the school's guards are coming! We need to escape as soon as possible!"

Roy and Halora widened their eyes on the good news. Finally, they have the chance to escape and treat Halora's wound.

Sebastian looked at him with a short smile on his lips. He whispered, "I'll be waiting before nine... tonight. Same place, same weapons."

There was no time for long, deep conversation. The guards noticed suspicious activities as they slowly went into the back of the gymnasium.

"Master, let's go now!" All of the gang members panicked when they saw the guards from a distance.

They quickly ran off from the said place, hid the knife inside of his bag, and acted as nothing happened.

Sebastian breathed heavily, turned around, and ran towards Halora. He looked angry and blamed himself when he caught a glimpse of her.

"Seb, help me to bring her to the clinic! She's losing a lot of blood!"

"Let's go!" Sebastian encircled her arms around him. Along the way, they saw the guards, astounded and startled.

One of them exclaimed, "What happened to her?!" He looked deeply at Sebastian's eyes, "Did you hurt her, didn't you?"

As he carried the title of being the campus bad boy, every student, staff thought that he started all the commotions and troubles.

Fortunately, Roy meddled in between and replied, "Excuse me but it was an accident! Forgive me but can you help us to bring her to the clinic?"

There were convictions and the guards quickly responded.

As they arrived at the clinic, the nurse hurriedly stood and let the patient be seated. Since she was conscious, Halora took off her eyeglasses. "I'm here all over again,"

The nurse wanted to laugh yet it wasn't a good idea. She walked into the cabinet and took off the first aid kit. "What happened to her?" She asked the boys who brought her.

Roy thanked the guards as they leave and believed in his words. Sebastian leaned to the wall, slid his hand inside of his pocket, and replied, "An accident happened."

Halora listened silently as she arched her back. "He's right. It was an accident that led me to cut my face." She added.

"I see. Next time, please be careful not to hurt yourself. You are still lucky because the wound will heal itself for just two to three days." The nurse cleaned the wound and put a bandage on it.

It was not deep nor severe but it was needed. "Buy this ointment to avoid infection and getting a scar."

"Don't worry about it, I will buy it for you," Roy said, seated on the bench as he wiped off the dirt from his blouse.

Ms. San Diego sighed deeply about what happened to the patient. She shook her head in disbelief and recorded everything. "Which one of you is her boyfriend?"

Sebastian was caught off guard by her question. He wiped his face out of frustration and replied, "It doesn't even matter."

"He... he is right, Ms. San Diego!" Roy stuttered, looked at Halora's eyes yet she was staring at someone else... at the young man who leaned to the wall.

"They are my friends, and I'm glad they're one call away."

Halora slowly stood out from the bed, touched her wounded face desperately. "Thank you for assisting me, Ms. San Diego, and I hope it won't happen again."

She gave her a genuine smile. While the boys listened to her sweet, calm voice. Until Sebastian smelled something suspicious nearby, "Roy, I'll just go to the comfort room." He whispered.

It was a secret. Roy quickly walked nearer to Hermione and distracted her. Halora smiled at him sweetly and said, "Congratulations! I will cheer for you until the finals."

Roy was one of the representatives and Sandra would be his partner along with the competition.

As they talked for the moment, Sebastian followed the smell. The school clinic was built at the end of all classrooms. In front of it was the Principal's office, and at the back was the vacant lot.

Temporarily, the construction workers stopped working on the new project. Mrs. Lee was planning to build additional classrooms for better and quality education.

It was surrounded by bricks, blocks of cement, and other construction supplies. Until he heard a beast-like sound inside, "A werewolf's scent!"

He prowled, hid at the unfinished wall, and looked through the small holes. Sebastian narrowed his eyes when he saw a werewolf ate a white little, poor cat.

"Ahh! It's been a while since the last time I tasted it," spoke the werewolf who turned into a human form.

Sebastian listened to his voice and earned enough courage to catch a glimpse of him.

He then moved closer to the holes, peeked around as he remembered, and recognized the beast inside of the site.

He shook his head in disbelief, "Markus?" He murmured, frightened and..., confused.

Markus? A beast, a werewolf-like Sebastian but the question is...,

Who is Markus? And why would he enter the same school? Would he be a threat to Sebastian or he would be an ally?
