270 Chapter 270

Zhao Ming Mei was tensed in her room checking if she had enough support to become the vice president of the company. The odds were staked against her and she had no idea if it was possible for her to win now. Zhao Ming Mei had contacted many share holders seeking their support in the voting, but she was not sure how it would proceed. Zhao Ming Mei had thought that her grandfather would not humiliate her in public and she could easily become the Vice President of the company is she pressures him into such a situation but she felt like she was on the losing end now.

It did not take long for Assistant Liu Guang to find out the owner of the necklace. Since it was a limited edition necklace finding out the owner, using the serial number had not been hard. Though it had been purchased abroad, Wang Yu's men were quick in finding out.

Assistant Liu Guang knew that all hells were about to break loose when Wang Yu finds out the identity of the person. He was trembling a bit as he broke the news to Wang Yu.

Assistant Liu Guang handed over the file to Wang Yu and he opened it and saw the name 'Wang Yiran' written in bold letters.

Wang Yu murmured, "She never fails to disappoint me"

Wang Yu thought for a whole minute and then he said with a glint of murder in his eyes, "Put a trail on her and send a message through burner phone to her mobile anonymously that you have the necklace along with a picture of it. She is not smart enough to execute something this big without someone's help. I'm going to end everything today"

Liu Guang did exactly as Wang Yu said and was waiting for Wang Yiran's next action.

When Wang Yiran saw the message on her phone, she did not know what to do. She was watching a movie in the theatre with her boyfriend and as soon as she got the message, she rushed out to meet someone along with him.

Wang Yu's men were following Wang Yiran closely and found that the car was entering the Zhao Company and as Wang Yu guessed, Wang Yiran rushed to Zhao Ming Mei.

Zhao Ming Mei, who was thinking about the voting, was pacing in the room back and forth when she saw Wang Yiran entering the room without permission.

Zhao Ming Mei said through gritted teeth, "who the hell asked you to come here?"

Wang Yiran yelled back to Zhao Ming Mei, "Someone found out about the necklace"

Zhao Ming Mei had no idea what she was talking about, "huh?"

Wang Yiran tried to speaking calmly, "My necklace which I dropped when that bitch was kidnapped"

Zhao Ming Mei lost it at that moment, "What? You dropped a necklace?"

Before several months, after Wang Yiran had woken up from coma, through Wang Yiran, Zhao Ming Mei learnt that Wang Yiran had been in vegetative state all these years and the Wang family had hidden this truth from the outside world. This was not something new to her. She knew that something must have happened to Wang Yiran but she did not expect this. Slowly Zhao Ming Mei learnt how much Wang Yiran hated Li Zi Yun and she thought of using this situation in her favor. The more Wang Yu showed his affection towards Li Zi Yun, the more Wang Yiran hated her. Wang Yiran was used to everyone treating her as if she was a queen could not take this anymore. Li Zi Yun had gotten pregnant and now everyone's concentration was only on Li Zi Yun and Wang Yiran could not take it anymore. She did not have anyone to talk behind others back with her and therefore Wang Yiran used Zhao Ming Mei for that purpose.

Wang Yiran had met the teacher whom she liked by chance, and she had found out that he was divorced and single. Though years had passed for him, it had been only a few days for Wang Yiran and she still liked him. So she rekindled their relationship since there was nothing stopping them now. The teacher Lin Zhang did not refuse either. He was single now and at this age, he knew that he would never be able to get a rich girlfriend like Wang Yiran who showers him with gifts so he immediately started going out with Wang Yiran secretly.

That is when Wang Yiran met with Zhao Ming Mei and said everything to her. Zhao Ming Mei, who had been waiting for a chance to punish Li Zi Yun for marrying Wang Yu, she thought of using Wang Yiran in her plan and making her a scapegoat if any problem arises. She thought of making Li Zi Yun slip and fall in the stairs and have a miscarriage, this would definitely make the Wang family angry and Li Zi Yun would be kicked out. She started formulating a plan for this, thinking how she can do this without getting her name involved.

When Zhao Ming Mei was thinking about this, that is when she had overheard the conversation between her uncle and aunt. They were talking secretively and that is what caught Zhao Ming Mei's attention. Zhao Yu Zheng and Meng Xuan Li had not mentioned Li Zi Yun's name, but she had heard enough to understand that it was Li Zi Yun they were talking about and she was actually her cousin. They were discussing about telling this to everyone in the family and bringing Li Zi Yun home. Zhao Ming Mei who had huge plans for the company could not take this news easily. She knew that if Li Zi Yun is alive, then the shares of Zhao Yu Zheng and Meng Xuan Li would definitely go to Li Zi Yun and it would make her the largest shareholder in the company and she may take a high position in the company.

In Zhao family, both the sons and the daughter in laws owned equal number of shares in the company, 15% each, while Grandfather and Grandmother Zhao both held 10 % each. Zhao Ming Mei had thought that since Zhao Yu Zheng and Meng Xuan Li had no children of their own, she would somehow acquire their 30 % shares and become the largest shareholder combined with the 10% she inherits from her parents. But now, Li Zi Yun would easily get the 30% shares from her parents and she could become the largest shareholder without raising a finger.

Zhao Ming Mei knew that the only way she could achieve what she wanted was by killing Li Zi Yun. She only thought of Wang Yu as her equal all these years and she wanted to marry Wang Yu after killing Li Zi Yun; she would be able to easily marry Wang Yu with the help of her family if Li Zi Yun is dead. Zhao Ming Mei was always careful in whatever she did making sure that her name was not involved directly in any of the crimes. She thought of using Wang Yiran in her plan of killing Li Zi Yun. Zhao Ming Mei made a deal with Wang Yiran. She will help her kill Li Zi Yun and instead Wang Yiran should help her marry her brother, killing two birds with one stone.

When talking about their plan, Wang Yiran had told Zhao Ming Mei all about how Wang Yu was treating Li Zi Yun like a queen and treating her like trash. Zhao Ming Mei was not interested in dealing with Wang Yiran, but she needed her to execute her plan flawlessly. She knew how hard it was get any information from her family or Wang family and therefore having an inside person was important to know what is happening in the house. As the first step, Zhao Ming Mei advised Wang Yiran to pretend as if she had hurt her brain and lost her memory. She gave Wang Yiran training on how to behave and she put her plan into motion. Wang Yiran had a bad name at home and Zhao Ming Mei thought of using that is in case anything gets out of hand. As part of their plan, they had even fought for Wu Qing in front of both the families.

Wang Yiran had pushed the glass vase on Li Zi Yun but missed the timing during Chu Yan and Wu Li Shu's engagement. Everyone thought that Wang Yiran is not stupid enough to try to kill her sister in law in front of everyone. When she faked that she did not do it, even Wang Yu believed her but Mr. Wang had a slight doubt and he sent her packing. This had halted Zhao Ming Mei's plan in using Wang Yiran. Zhao Ming Mei had tried spreading news around that Li Zi Yun was cheating on Wang Yu but there was no response from Wang Yu's side.

When Wang Yiran went abroad, she had taken her boyfriend along with her. Since she had not completed her schooling, she was enrolled into some school, but Wang Yiran thought it would be degrading and insulting to study in school at this age and she never attended. Wang Yiran loved shopping which was the only routine aspect of her life and she wasted her money as much as she could not bothered that she was not earning a single penny. Once while shopping, Wang Yiran had bought a chain for herself with boyfriend Lin Zhang's and her initials engraved on it. Zhao Ming Mei had already been creating problems for Wang Yu's company in S country for months and she knew that Wang Yu would have to visit at some point of time, which he did. She had been creating trouble for Wang Yu's company through other companies by blackmailing them. Most of the blackmailed people's secret could cost their lives and career therefore they had done whatever Zhao Ming Mei asked them to do. When Wang Yiran heard that Wang Yu was away and their plan was ready to be set in motion, she immediately flew back home.

As per Zhao Ming Mei's instructions, Wang Yiran had told her mother that she had a nightmare about something bad happening to brother Wang Yu and sister in law Li Zi Yun and she wanted them to pray in the temple for both of them. Mrs. Wang had believed her words and taken Li Zi Yun along with them because Wang Yiran had a bad dream.

Zhao Ming Mei had told Wang Yiran clearly never to visit the place where Li Zi Yun was kidnapped and tied up but Wang Yiran thought that she would never get this opportunity again since Li Zi Yun would be dead in two days. So she went there and spoke to Li Zi Yun nonstop while she was unconscious and that was when the chain had fallen on Li Zi Yun. Wang Yiran was too happy that she did not notice the chain falling down and immediately left the country in the next flight. She knew that her mother's assistant would inform her mother, but she did not care. After Li Zi Yun was dead, she would no longer have to stay here and could go back home.

After a couple of days, Wang Yiran searched for her chain and that is when she found it was missing. Only then, she realized that she could have dropped it in the old factory. Wang Yiran knew the risk involved when she agreed to this, but in that situation, she started panicking. She knew that Zhao Ming Mei would let her take the blame alone if she came to know about this, so Wang Yiran turned to her mother.

Wang Yiran spoke with her mother and came to know that Li Zi Yun was alive but still unconscious. That is when Wang Yiran decided to trust her mother and she told her everything starting from how Zhao Ming Mei asked her to join hands with her to kill Li Zi Yun to what happened before a couple of days to Li Zi Yun and how her chain could be found in the site. Only then Wang Yiran found out that Li Zi Yun was from Zhao family and she had become a pawn in Zhao Ming Mei's game. Mrs. Wang knew that Wang Yu would not mind killing his sister for his wife but she would not let that happen. No matter what, Wang Yiran was her daughter and she could not let anything happen to her. So when her assistant informed to her that Wang Yiran was not at home for two days, Mrs. Wang somehow shut her mouth and stopped the news from going to Wang Yu.

When Wang Yiran came to know that Li Zi Yun is actually from Zhao family, she knew that Wang Yu and the Zhao family would have her gutted out alive if they know that she was one of the culprits involved. Though initially Zhao Ming Mei had the upper hand, Wang Yiran had seen Zhao Ming Mei entering a hotel room with a young actor and she started using that as a leverage against her. Zhao Ming Mei had used that actor when talking to the men, she hired to kidnap Li Zi Yun and she never spoke to them directly. They had done everything they could to make sure that their plan would proceed without any problems. But they underestimated Wang Yu's capability.

When Zhao Ming Mei knew that Wang Yu had tracked down their location that is when she knew that she had lost the battle.
