Chapter Three Hundred and Eighty-Nine

Victor POV

I came to visit my father, like I have promised myself that I will visit him once a week, despite everything he is doing, he is my father and also the only parent I know since I was little, I can't abandon him that way. I was on my way to visit him when his car drove past me, I stopped my car and look out of the window to make sure that his car is the one that drove past me. I confirmed that that is his car, I turned around and follow his car cause am curious to know where he is going at this time of the day. It's evening already, I expected him to be at home relaxing, his car stopped at a casino, what is he doing in a casino? This is my first time seeing him in a casino, is the gambling now? What sort of mess is he getting himself in this time around?

Those are the questions going on in my head, I sat in my car contemplating whether to go inside and see what he is up to or sit down here and wait for him to come. My curiosity side won, I stepped out of the car but before I stepped out, I put on my sunglasses so that it will be hard for the bodyguard to recognise me. I walked inside but there is no sign of my father there, I looked around but he is not there. One of the people working there approached me thinking that am here to play. Sir, if you are finding it difficult to find a seat, I have the perfect seat for you, he said to me. Am sorry, am not here for the game, am looking for someone, I explained to him.

He apologized for assuming wrong and left me, at least the workers here seem responsible and I don't think that the casino is dangerous. I was about to turn back and leave when my father emerged from one of the doors with a woman that looks familiar, the both of them are not looking in my direction which is an advantage to me. I can't believe who I am looking at, the infamous Anna, here I am thinking that my father maybe has had a change of mind and decided to stop trying to hurt George or take over the company rather he was busy gathering allies that will help him in his fight. I heard one of the workers address Anna as boss, which means that she owns the casino.

I left the casino immediately before they will notice my presence, I stayed in my car waiting for when my father will come. Not long, he stepped out with Anna by his side, they exchange handshakes and Anna was smiling at him. This means that the two of them are involved in something and what could that be, I don't know. I waited for his car to move to a reasonable distance before I will follow, to avoid implicating myself. I was driving when my phone dinged, indicating a message, I opened the message and it was from my father, asking me to come and see him tomorrow. Maybe they planned something and they need me to help them but sorry to disappoint him, he got the wrong person this time. I have to find out why he needs to see me before I will tell George what is going on.
