" Sure.." They all went together.
They were waking in groups. Agnes with Micheal, Morris with Zeal and Racheal and Myra walked slowly Leo. They were both silent as they walked past the different people doing different things in the market and along the way.
" Sis, Look the fortune teller is there. Let's go visit her." Racheal said to Agnes.
" What do you want to know at this time ?" She asked.
" Never in the future I can also get a handsome husband like Micheal and Leo." Racheal said.
They all laughed except Leo.
" You are still young to think about husbands." Micheal told Racheal.
" Actually, We shall have Leo and Myra go there. " Agnes said and turned to look at them.
" I am so sure there are no fortune tellers in the town. You two go ahead" She insisted.
" No need for that." Leo argued immediately.
" There is no refusing. The bill
Is on me. She will even pray for you to heal, Hurry up. Go inside?" Agnes pushed them to enter one of the red clothes that acted as curtains and when they were inside the old woman sat there with a number of traditional signs and symbols behind and in front of her.
" Greetings" They both greeted politely.
" Greetings, Please sit down !" She told them.
Leo and Myra sat down slowly but they were both quite because they really had nothing much to discuss about.
" Hmmm, Why are you both silent ? Don't you know what brought you here ?" The old woman asked.
Myra cleared her throat and put a fake smile.
" …I..am… we are soon get married." She said and first looked at Leo to make sure that he wasn't angry.
" So…How will our journey be ?" Myra continued after realizing that Leo wasn't angry.
" Bring your hands to me!" The old woman requested and they both gave their hands.
She held them together and closed her eyes as if sensing for something.
" What are your names ?" The old woman asked.
" Myra and Leo.." Myra is the one that still answered.
" Well… I see a strong bond between the two of you." She begun saying still holding their hand and her eyes closed.
They looked at each when she said this and looked at her again.
" There is love….Your relationship begun with sacrifice and so it should go on. One of you will have to sacrifice their life for the other to finally let out the hidden love. Yes….as long as you can survive eveything, The love will finally burst out like a bomb and it will last forever." She said to them.
Leo smirked not believing these words when the old woman opened her eyes.
" Young man, You are so stubborn and resilient. But the more you try to resist it, The more it will force you." The old woman warned him.
When the old woman said this Leo got up and said.
" Myra, It's getting late. We should go !"
Myra got up after this and bowed before the old woman and gave her some money from Agnes.
". We shall leave !" She said and left with Leo.
The others were waiting from outside.
" How did it go ?" Agnes asked.
" All went well" Myra answered and they begun walking again after this.
Leo hadn't added a word.
" Don't mind what the old woman said, It was all nonsense." Leo spoke to break the silence.
Myra smiled a little. " How could I believe ? " Myra asked as they both walked slowly.
" You hate me !" She stated.
When Myra mentioned this Leo stopped walking and looked at her. She also stopped and turned to face him with sadness in her eyes.
Leo first gave her a long glare without a word and he see how sorrowful it was for her to tell him this.
When he didn't say anything Myra looked away and begun walking slowly which he begun walking after her.
" I guess eveything she said was about you and Barbara.." She spoke softly which put him ablaze.
" So you know about us ?" Leo asked.
Myra turned to face him again and put a smile on her face.
" Of course Barbara is my best friend. How couldn't I know the person she is dating ?" Myra asked.
Leo looked away from her with some feeling of guilty and walked passed her. She followed him now that she was walking just behind him.
" Did she tell you that ?" Leo asked.
" Yeah, Besides that day at the Hotel… I saw you two…kis…si…ng…" She stummered.
Leo sighed on hearing this. He turned around to face her again and she stopped walking.
" That's the truth. I am dating Barbara…Since you are her best friend as you claim, Then you should wish us well." He said.
" Of course I do" She answered immediately with no doubts.
He narrowed his eyes.
" You shouldn't worry about my confession. I will try my best not to love you."
Saying this made him remember the day she said she loved him and it made him to give her a deep look.
' Why am I feeling guilty like I did something wrong ?'
At that moment Leo asked himself.
" And…" Myra was still talking. " I would be happy if only we could be friends, But if you don't want it's still okay. I can bare it …" After this she turned to go again but she had not seen the man who came riding a wheel barrow to their direction on high speed.
Leo only realized it before the Man could knock Myra and hurried to her and pulled her away by the hand into a hug that she ended up in his firm and warm chest. He covered his other palm on her head as of shielding her from any harm that she was fully covered into his embrance.
This left Myra mouth opened as she didnt expect this at all.
She was in his embrance that was warm and he smelt so sweet. Even Leo felt the softness of her body and the sweet scent from her hair that was just beneath his lips.
The man with the wheel passed across them on a terrible speed.
