Hours passed as Khan sat at the entrance of the Golden Gate, his eyes fixed on the floor. After three hours had passed since his arrival, a group finally approached the gate. They were surprised to see him sitting there, but most of them simply walked by, snorting to themselves. What else could they have thought was the young man's reason for arriving so early? Of course, it was only because he had abandoned his teammate and decided to arrive at the gate alone. Everyone was well aware that it was a useless endeavor, as anyone without a complete group can't enter the Golden Gate. So his efforts in arriving might as well just go to waste.
