The Return to Jang Sik's residence

Jang Sik's grandma couldn't believe her eyes. Did she just see that in a naked state? Oh my! She couldn't take it and stepped out of the room.

"Why what's wrong?" Jang Sik asked. "Go inside and check it out yourself", she replied and sighed heavily.

Jang Sik and his sister were now more curious than ever to see what she saw. The two went inside only to see a naked… a naked… bed. No one was in the room.

"Wait, no one is here. Mother saw no one here, so why was she behaving that way?" Jang Sik asked his sister and before she could think about his question, they heard the door giving out a sound which was usually heard outside.

The sound was that of a knob being turned. Jang Sik's sister detected the meaning of the sound.

"Did mom just lock us?" His sister asked and Jang Sik ran to open the door. But his sister was right. Thinking that they had pranked her, their mom had locked them up.

But they had not pranked her. They just didn't get it right.

"Jin Ho!!!" I shouted on top of my voice as I watched that cute dog smile at me.

"What is it?" A voice from below asked. I turned around and saw no one. Things were more confusing now.

"I asked, 'What is it?'" the voice asked again and I recognized who it was.

"Jin Ho, where are you?" I asked and a body rose up from the floor. He was right beneath my bed.

"There you are. Jin Ho, why is a dog on my bed?" I asked and he replied: "I thought you would ask, where am I?"

I then looked around and realized that this wasn't the kid's room, neither was it the room I was in earlier.

"That's right, where am I? I mean, where are we? And why is a dog smiling at me?" I asked questions on whatever bothered me.

Seating himself on the floor, he asked, "Don't you remember a thing?"

"What happened last night?" I asked in reply.

"We went out to have some drinks", he reminded me. But that was something I also remembered hence I told him: "I remember that."

"And then…", he continued. "And then?" I asked. But instead of continuing what he had started to explain, he said to me: "I'm so exhausted from yesterday's activities that I can't speak anymore."

"What exactly happened?" I asked as the curiosity was killing me.

"All night long. You asked us to do it all night long", he replied. My heart skipped a beat as I stood up from the bed and asked with a disappointed face: "What? Did we do it?"

"Yes. So please, let me have some sleep", he replied and went back to sleep.

"My twenty seven years of dignity. Did I just throw it away?" I asked myself.

He then got up and asked me: "What are you talking about?"

"But you just said that we… did it all night", I reminded him.

He stared at me continuously and asked: "Wait, what activity are you thinking about?"

Shamelessly, I replied saying: "Isn't that what a man and woman do when they are married?"

"Do they do it in front of a dog?" He asked and the dog gave out a large bark.

"What?" I was confused. "You are unbelievable. Anyway don't worry, you are intact", he assured me.

"What are you talking about?" I asked and he made things clear by saying: "Your twenty seven years of dignity has not been defiled. We didn't do that activity all night long."

"Really!" I said with excitement. But then I asked, "Then what was it?"

"As punishment, I won't tell you", he replied and went back to sleep.

Nevertheless, his body had barely made an impact on the ground which he had covered with a blanket when he heard a knock on the door.

"Young lad! Young lad!" The one knocking kept calling out.

"Yes, mister", Jin Ho replied and went to meet him. "Your phone is fully charged now", the man said and handed Jin Ho his device.

"Thank you! Thanks so much", Jin Ho replied. "Finally, I can get out of here", he said with lots of happiness.

But suddenly, he heard a voice say to him: "Hold on, you said nothing happened."

He looked at me and replied, "Yes, why?" He asked.

Staring at my clothes, I asked him: "Then how did I end up in different clothes?"

"Don't remind me of that. Just don't. In fact, don't remember it yourself", he replied and stepped out of the room.

Left by myself, I asked: "What really happened? Why can't I remember a thing?" I ran my hand through my hair and messed it all up. I was so confused and instead of reassurance, all I could hear from my neighbor was an unstoppable barking.

"Stop barking, you smiley dog!" I vented my anger out on it but it just looked at me helplessly.

"This is hopeless", I said to myself as I lunged my body backwards and dropped the lightweight onto the bed.

At Jang Sik's residence, his mom was getting worried. "Where could they be?" She wondered as she looked through her window to see if she would catch a glimpse of us.

Her waiting attitude was distracted for a moment as a call came in. After picking up her phone, she said: "Hello!"

She was silent for a while before asking the caller: "What? A motel?"

After the call had ended, she looked outside the window and saw us returning.

"So they spent the night at a motel and… did that? These kids are quite amazing", she said to herself.

Once we were in, Jang Sik and his sister who had been freed ran to meet us. "Amy! Jin Ho! Where were you guys?" Jang Sik asked.

Their mother arrived and told us: "Sit down." We obeyed her command and took a seat on the dining table. She then went to the kitchen and returned with a hot bowl of soup. "Have this", she said and gave each of us a bowl of bean sprout soup.

"Grandma, thanks so much for the bean sprout soup", we showed our gratitude and before long, we were done with the meal.

"Wow, it was amazing", Jin Ho said and I added: "It really helped me with my hangover. Thanks so much for the food."

Jang Sik's mother left us all by ourselves. And soon, the gossip mongers arrived.

After each one had taken a seat, the trio began their interrogation. This trio was made up of Jang Sik, his wife and his sister.

"Jin Ho, tell me. Where were you guys?" He asked and the ladies with him stared at us without blinking. Each one was curiously awaiting the answers.

"We slept at a motel", he replied and they stared at each other with shock drawn all over them.

"Nothing happened, okay?" I cut in but they broke out in laughter saying, "We didn't say a thing."

"Is that all you want to know?" Jin Ho asked after drinking his bowl of soup to the brim.

"Well…. We were worried about you, especially after failing to find you in the kid's room. That's what made us ask you that. Hope you are not offended?" Jang Sik explained.

"Don't worry. I fully understand", Jin Ho replied.

After that amazing homemade breakfast from grandma, I got ready to leave. I had different clothes on and these clothes were just not my style. They gave me a country side bumpkin's look.

Yet, that's all I had so I had no other choice than to wear it.

"Will you be leaving now?" Jang Sik's wife asked after I had revealed my plans.

"Yes, I have to", I replied. She saw Jin Ho descend downstairs and asked him: "Jin Ho, what about you? Will you be leaving right now?"

"There's something I need to check before I leave", he replied and walked out the door.

"Won't he even say goodbye?" I asked myself as I watched him leave.

"Then Amy, have a safe journey", Jang Sik's wife said to me. But it wasn't hard for everyone else to find out.

As if I was leaving for the States, the entire family came to meet me and I started by saying to Jang Sik: "Jang Sik, thanks for everything."

"You are welcome. We are going to miss you", he said with sadness in his eyes.

"Me too", his sister added. And his wife also asked with a teary expression: "Why do you already feel like family?"

Without thinking much about it, she drew near me and hugged me. Jang Sik's sister followed and so did his kids.

"Aunt Amy goodbye!" They said after letting go of me. Saying goodbye wasn't easy but finally, I had freed myself from them and was walking to the bus station.

"They are really nice people", I said to myself.

I got to the bus station and waited for a vehicle. But after waiting for a while, I asked myself: "Why isn't there any bus? Should I order for a taxi?"

Since I had no phone on me, I made a call using the phone booth. And soon a taxi came for me.

Once I left the Last Stop Town in the taxi, Virel and Ra Ra's car entered the town.

Now in the town, Virel and Ra Ra began to search for us. Though he wasn't sure if he would reach him, Virel made a call to Jin Ho and this time, it went through.

Jin Ho told them his location and soon they met up at Jang Sik's residence.

"Virel, sorry that you had to come all the way here just to meet me", Jin Ho said as he welcomed him in.

"Is everything okay?" V asked in reply. "I'm good. I had to clear my head for a while and I think it worked", Jin Ho replied.

"Where's Amy?" Ra Ra, who had been side checked in this conversation asked.

"She already left for Seoul", he replied.

Just then, Jang Sik's nephew returned from school. His wife came out to meet him and asked, "Why are you returning when it's still early in the morning?"

In reply, he said: "Haven't you heard the news?" They all stared at each other wondering what news he was carrying.

"An unexpected typhoon is on its way. Because of that, all vehicles have been banned from traveling", he added.

His statement alarmed them all, especially Jin Ho. "What? A typhoon?" He asked and quickly stood up from his seat.

"V, the keys", he asked for the car key and after receiving it, dashed out of the hall.

Ra Ra chased after him and so did Virel. But before they could reach him, he had already left with the vehicle. After coming to the know the reason for his actions, Ra Ra saw a motorcycle and asked if she could use it.

She got onto it and nearly started the vehicle, but was stopped by V.

"What are you doing?" She asked him.

"I know that this is a panic situation, but it's too dangerous to do this", he replied.

Ra Ra then told him firmly, "If anything happens to Amy, I won't be able to forgive myself. So allow me to go." The look in her eyes was something Virel couldn't ignore.

But to ensure her safety, he said to her: "Alright then, let's go together."

He got onto the motorcycle and they left the Last Stop Town.
