The Hokanko University of Tokyo, one of the world's most elite schools, what would await her there? "Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't see you there.." "Ah, it's okay, I'm perfectly fine!" I reached out my hand to help up the fallen man and saw the face of a young Japanese gentleman. "Setsui sama! Setsui sama! Are you alright?!" called out a middle-aged man dressed in a suit Setsui sama? THE Setsui sama?! From the Setsui Corporation? The Dormitory

I hurriedly made my way to the dormitory. However, there was an issue...

"WHERE IN THE WORLD IS IT?!"

"Um... Do you need help?"

I turned around and was surprised to see a Japanese lady standing behind me.

She looked like she was in her late 30s. She wore a simple white blouse with a dark blue long skirt hanging from her well-proportioned hips and waist. Her hair was tied up neatly in a bun and she was just a little bit shorter than me, 173cm maybe?

I felt blood rush to my face.

Ah... I'm so embarrassed!

The Japanese lady didn't seem to be very fluent in English, so I decided to just speak to her in Japanese.

(In Japanese)

"Ah! I'm sorry for causing such a commotion. But yes, I do need some help finding my way around here.", I said

"Oh my, so you know how to speak Japanese!", she said in shock

"Well... I am half Japanese so yes I do know how to speak the language.", I replied

"eh~ is that so! Well, where are you headed? I can show you the way.", she offered

"I'm trying to get to the dormitory, but this school is a LITTLE big hahaha. So I am kind of lost.", I said

"The dormitory? What a coincidence! I am headed there too, let's go together."

So I followed the Japanese lady around the school to get to the dormitory. On the way there, she was introducing the different facilities of the school to me.

She must be a senior here or even a teacher, she knew the place so well.

We stopped in front of a tall building, 13 stories.

"Student Dormitory" was written on a sign at the front of the building. We entered the big building and the people at the reception desk suddenly stood up and said, "Good morning Miss Suzuki!"

Ah, so her name is Suzuki-san. But why are they greeting her?

(Still in Japanese)

"Oh let me introduce myself formally. I am Makio Suzuki, the head of the student dormitory, nice to meet you once again.", Suzuki-san said

"Ah! I'm sorry I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Aki Syan, please to meet you too.", I said in a slight panic.

"Now now. Don't need to be all formal with me. Just treat me like your big sister, may I ask how old are you?", she asked

"I am 18 this year.", I replied

"18?! Wow that is like half my age haha, how young. May I call you Aki-chan?", she proposed

Haha "Aki-chan" that sounds funny, like I'm a little girl

"Yeah sure!",I responded to her

Suzuki-san helped me register into the dormitory and talked to me about how the school dormitories operate. Unlike other normal Japanese dorms since this university is a very elite one, it is heavily sponsored by different companies, so students have a whole apartment to themselves and there is no curfew or major rules.

"Most students here are very well-off, so most of them just go home with their drivers after school. However, some students still prefer to stay in school sometimes as they find it more convenient to not travel back and forth. But Aki-chan, you must be well-off too since you are able to pay for the dormitory prices and school fees.", Suzuki-san said

"Um...How much does it cost to stay in the dormitory?", I asked hesitantly

"Hmm... 1 month is about 120 000 yen", Suzuki-san answered

*chokes on saliva*

120 000 YEN?!!!!! PER MONTH?!!! THAT IS INSANE! I could buy a new iPhone 11 every month with that money!

I don't even want to imagine the school fee cost... I am really fortunate, aren't I? How did I even stumble upon such a miracle-like scholarship which includes school fees and accommodations? Bless the gods!!

I told Suzuki-san about me getting a scholarship in England to come to Japan and study in this elite school. Suzuki-san went speechless for a few seconds, not believing her ears as she had never heard of anyone receiving a scholarship from this school before. She stared at me for a while in the elevator and I felt really awkward, not knowing what to say to break the silence.

" *ding* 13th Floor"

We arrived at the top level of the building. Each floor had 4 apartments and mine was right at the end of the hallway on the left.

"Aki-chan, this will be your new apartment 1301, remember your apartment number and be careful not to lose this card. This is your key in order to get inside the apartment.", Suzuki-san passed me the card and left me be to settle in.

I opened the door to my new home for the next 3 years, and I almost broke my jaw. My mouthed opened so wide that a whole apple could fit inside.

THE ROOM no... APARTMENT WAS UNBELIEVABLE

I was expecting a decently small size room with a bathroom and a desk, maybe even a small stove. BUT NO

The second you step into the apartment, you are presented with a LIVING ROOM with a television and couch on the left side of the door and a fully furnished kitchen on the right. The apartment had a very modern yet peaceful vibe to it. The apartment floors were made out of dark oak wood except for the bedroom and bathroom. And in contrast to the dark flooring, the furniture was of brighter colours like white and light grey with some splashes of warm sunset colours here and there from the small decor around the house.

When you look straight there is another wooden door leading to the bedroom. Inside the bedroom was a twin size bed pushed against the wall and a long black desk with a table lamp right in front of the bed. The floor was made with maple wood and had an aesthetic snow-white carpet lying under the bed. There was also a built-in cupboard inside the room beside the bed, with the door of the cupboard being a full-length mirror.

The room was also connected to the bathroom and goshes. I couldn't tell if I was in a school dormitory or a hotel room.

The bathroom had marble floors, black-tinted glass as the shower screen on the left side and a bathtub with golden taps at the back of the bathroom in front of a small window, which allowed the person to soak in the tub and look outside. There was a separate section in the bathroom for the toilet, and like almost all toilets in Japan, this toilet was the very advance type with many different functions like the bidet, etc.

Since my room was at the corner of the building, the walls of my living room and bedroom were made from glass, ceiling to the floor. And to ensure the students' privacy, all glass were made so that people could see the outside from within but outsiders would not be able to see the inside of the apartments.

I quickly unpacked my belongings and placed everything neatly in order around the house. After an hour or so, I flopped down on the couch in the living room and tried to take in everything that was happening. I didn't expect this school to have THAT MUCH budget for the students.

But what I was having a hard time thinking about was why the school suddenly gave me a scholarship? According to Suzuki-san, there has never been a single student who came into this school through a scholarship.

"Arghhh the more I think about it, the more my brain hurts!"

*sigh* I don't know anymore... now I just want to relax and chil-
