13 First City: Fallen Star City

After three long hours of traveling in the carriage, Vance spotted a city in the distance.

"Well. Celine it looks like this is where we get off. We'll have to walk from this point."

"Okay Master. Be sure to properly destroy the carriage. We don't want anyone knowing about your power just yet. You may be able to wipe out a country or two but with your current mana you can pretty easily be overrun."

"Yeah, I know Celine. Don't worry though, destruction is something I'm reaalllly good at."

Vance then annihilated the carriage with his Space Magic.

"Well. I guess it's time to walk huh?"

"Yes Master."

Vance and Celine began to walk on the path towards the distant city. After another twenty minutes of walking they had reached the gates.

"Halt!" Said the taller of the two guards

"Present an Adventurers ID, Citizens ID, or pay the toll."

"What's the toll?"

"It is 5 copper coins per person." Said the guard.

Vance then turned to Celine and whispered to her

"I think I could create the coins if I can see what the coins look like but I don't think we can ask the guard to show us. Any ideas?"

"Master maybe just try asking to see a coin."

"Ummm. Excuse me guards, is it possible for me to see what the coins look like here? We come from... A place very far from here and only now managed to reach this town after weeks of traveling and I don't know if we have the right currency."

"Ah. Another traveler or refugee. Fine fine. Here."

The guard then passed Vance a copper coin. It was a seemingly normal coin about the size of a quarter. It was seemingly made of copper and had a crossed sword design on one side.

"Ah of course. I do happen to have enough. Ten coins is it?"

"For the two of you yes."

Vance then pretended to reach for his money and slid his hand into his pocket. Once his hand was in his pocket Vance created ten of the same copper coins in his hand. He then pulled his hand out of his pocket. He then offered the coins in his hand to the guard.

The guard after taking the coins began to look at them with intent to check them for being counterfeit. After looking at the coins the guard looked at Celine and Vance and nodded.

"Come on in. And welcome to Fallen Star City." Said the guard.

Vance and Celine then walked in through the tall wide open gates.

"Woooooow! Master this place is really big."

"Yeah. These walls alone are pretty massive."

As they walked on the path towards the center of the city they looked around and gasped in awe at the architecture and style of the town.

"I think our first order of business should be to find lodging for the night Master."

"Good idea Celine."

And thus the pair went in search of lodging for the night.
