"Xander is a useless son!" He claimed. "There's only one thing he can do in the company, and that's to run it down!"
"Don't be preposterous now, Thomas. I can't believe that's how you think of your very own son! Think for once in your life. Are you doing the right thing?" She questioned, ready to face him on that night.
Mr Wallace glanced at his wife, anger surging through as he resisted the urge to smack her across the face. He'd never beaten his wife before, but now he was tempted to do so.
Perhaps if she had not gotten pregnant with the twins back when they were still in college, he wouldn't have had to marry her. Then he would still have Nora by his side.
"Don't talk to me like that, woman!!" Mr Wallace demanded, and Xavier had to block his path more properly when he was about to attack his mother.
Xander came out of his hiding spot and blocked his path also.
