~Crying it out

After the two had finished every bit of their lunch, it was time to catch up.

"Oh my god! Remember the time when Elizabehth Hartley and Jeremy Edward's had that huge fight in the lunch hall and eventually broke up that day?" Alex said excitedly.

"Yeah, what about them"

"They got married!"

"What?! How do you know? I never saw that coming in a million years!"

"First of all, Facebook. Secondly, I got an invitation a few months ago. They were supposed to tie the know last week I think." he replied.

"Did you go?"

"No way! After Jeremy and I got into a fight, our friendship was over. For sure. I have no idea why I was invited." Andrew said shrugging.

"Maybe they were-" Esmene tried to finish but there was a gentle knock at the door and a woman dressed in a Nurses uniform walked in. "Hi, I'm going to be your second nurse. My name is Patricia, I stopped by to give you your antibiotics."

"Oh, ok." Esmene quietly responded. The nurse had clearly ruined the happy mood and reminded Esmene why she was there. After Esmene had taken the medicine and nurse Patricia left, Esmene couldnt help feeling depressed.

"Whoah, you look like you just saw a ghost. Is everything alright?" Andrew said leaning in to get a better look at her beautiful pale face. He couldnt help wondering what just happened for her mood to drop so suddenly.

"Nothing. My knee just started to bother me a little. That's all." She put on her best fake smile trying to convince him not knowing if it would work or not.

"For real Esmene, what's wrong? Is there anything I can do?"

'Crap!' She thought. 'He's still good at seeing through lies. Particularly mine.' Before she knew it, uncontrollable tears started pouring out of her eyes. She tried her best to wipe them away, but they wouldnt stop so she eventually accepted it and cried. 'Great, now he thinks I'm a baby.' she thought. 'He can see my ugly crying face!'

"Whoah, whoah whoah...." For a second Andrew didnt know how to react, but then put his hand on her back and started gently rubbing it saying, "Hey, it's ok. Want to talk about it?"

"I dont know!" she said starting to cry even harder. Soon the tears started to lessen and her breathing quickened. Before she knew it, Esmene was shaking and started to have an anxiety attack.

"Oh shoot..." Andrew's little sister had anxiety attacks when she was younger, so he knew just what to do. He quickly sat on the bed and started to hold and gently rock her. The sudden contact made Esmenes heart temporarily speed up but soon calmed down as he hummed a familiar tune to her. "Whatever it is, it's going to be ok.Shhhhh, it is alright. Just breathe..." Andrew's sweet, calming voice was help her relax. The tears slowly stopped as well as the shaking.

"That's it." He whispered in her ear. "Shhh." Andrew took notice that she had calmed down and gently let go, placing his hands delicately on her exposed shoulders. Because the gown was too big, it had slipped down quite a bit so he fixed it and then put his hands back on her shoulders. "Are you feeling any better now? I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable." he said looking away for a short while. His eyes darkened for a moment, but quickly returned to normal.

"I...think...so.." she shakily said with hiccups between every word. Noticing she wasn't in the best condition to talk about it yet, Andrew took her into his embrace and continued humming.

"It will be alright."Feeling her relax beneath him, he continued to hum and rocked her until she fell asleep.
