Chapter 15: Pirates of the Caribbean
~Liam POV~
Submarine?
Check.
Food supplies?
Check.
Pistols and powers?
Check.
Make sure not to use your powers in public?
Check again.
Good.
Now I have everything I need going into the next dimension in question where brutality is at its finest and pirates reign good and enjoyable for all.
Although I wouldn't mind taking down a few myself that is not the reason for going on this small trip now is it?
Oh no, far from it I'm merely there to collect an item in that dimension that will prove useful in my other ventures.
To find and locate what my heart desires I'm going to need to make a small visit to the Pirates of the Caribbean good movie with very good franchise sequels and a trilogy it made for itself by being unexpectedly famous.
A 10/10 movie if I do say so myself but some scenes could be pulled off a bit better.
Could do better with the people not being unreasonable but what can I do about it?
Sigh…
Opening up the portal already leading to where I think it's going I began to use my PAD and open up the submarine on the other side.
*SPLASH*
*Vroom*
Like that on the other end when I made contact with another side of the portal I already got myself wet for doing all of this.
Just great what the doctor ordered being drenched in saltwater from the ocean.
Sigh…
Once I like and hate my power at the same time… I really should get my portal creation in check but at least I have landed at the ready and an ample supply of fuel.
Opening up the PAD getting out the map of the dimension of the Pirates of the Caribbean world I began to go towards the portal other ends.
…
…
*Vroom*
Exiting out of the portal away from any prying eyes I began to stretch out just searching for the right dimension was rather exhausting work believe me on that.
Finding the right location and sending in drones was the right call but also the most annoying thing ever done.
I lost at least 20 drones somewhere in this world in a week and it took me fucking month to find the right place for me to enter!
20!
IN A WEEK!
Urgh…
The cost of those drones ain't cheap even though it doesn't really cost me much but…
The amount of bullshit happening in that dimension made me wonder how insane I am for this.
But then I return to the reason why I came here, to begin with as I resign to the reasons why I came to this dimension.
Sigh…
Better be worth it.
Glancing around the place I already managed to enter what seems to be my submarine as I had to search a few times to get to the right place according to the map and with my drones destroyed to the right place but very far off the coast of my exact location.
Near the Cuban seas to be exact.
If I'm accurate in my enough this should be before Jack made any attempts in the movie viewing from old recorded data video footage of my air drones so it safe to assume that the first movie hasn't occurred yet.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is a thrilling high-seas adventure with a mysterious twist that started it all. The roguish yet charming Captain Jack Sparrow's idyllic pirate life capsizes after his nemesis, the wily Captain Barbossa, steals his ship, the Black Pearl, and later attacks the town of Port Royal—kidnapping the Governor's beautiful daughter, Elizabeth.
In a gallant attempt to rescue her and recapture the Black Pearl, Elizabeth's childhood friend Will Turner joins forces with Jack. What Will doesn't know is that a cursed treasure has doomed Barbossa and his crew to live forever as the undead.
But I'm not here for that I'm here for the damn magic compass.
Jack Sparrow's compass was an unusual navigational instrument most notably used by Captain Jack Sparrow, which he bartered from the voodoo mystic Tia Dalma and later inherited from his captain.
For those who knew how to use it, the compass was the key to everything. Unlike an ordinary compass, Jack's compass pointed to what the owner wanted most, rather than mere magnetic north.
Although it appeared to be nothing more than a useless trinket, as the needle never pointed north, Jack's compass had supernatural qualities, giving him a special edge.
The compass couldn't be used to navigate in a conventional sense, but it did direct the owner to whatever he or she wanted most at the moment.
As the most special of all his possessions, this compass would be used in many of Jack Sparrow's adventures, including the search for the Treasure of Cortés, the Dead Man's Chest, the Fountain of Youth, and the Trident of Poseidon.
However, the compass also seemed to have a special supernatural connection with its owner, to whom it would obey willingly and blindly for as long as the owner was loyal to the compass in return.
The compass also would always conspire to help the owner's inner desires even while in possession of another individual, as seen how the compass led Elizabeth Swann to the Dead Man's chest even when Will Turner had already escaped Davy Jones' ship in normal circumstances, the compass would've changed directions to point Will himself as Elizabeth's most inner desire was to save him.
This was also proven when the compass led Joshamee Gibbs to the Black Pearl instead of literal freedom.
And for a man that needs it with my dimension problems?
It was worth way more than anything I could ever achieve or be of use since I'm merely starting out.
Plus having a magical compass being a companion would be really grateful as well and handy to have on hand for me but just be careful about the damn power it has since it can be very spiteful.
But while the compass was extremely loyal to its owner, if the owner dared to betray the compass' loyalty by dishonorably trading it or giving it away without expecting it to return, the magical object would unleash the previous owner's greatest fear in retaliation.
When it comes to this punishment, the reach of the compass' powers was so incredibly vast and powerful that it could release powerful specific forces wherever in the world, as Jack found out when the compass released Captain Salazar from his personal hell, very far away from his current position at the time.
Hence the reason why I would need the assistance of its power for me to help navigate the dimensions I would need to find.
Or at least till I found a better replacement for it but this one is more accessible at this time for me.
The reason why I came near the seas of Cuba, to begin with, was to find the person who gave Jack the compass, to begin with.
Tia Dalma.
Tia Dalma is a mysterious Caribbean soothsayer. A mystic who wields the power of voodoo-like magic, there was more to her than met the eye.
Before she was known as Tia Dalma, she was the sea goddess Calypso, until the First Brethren Court tricked the goddess and imprisoned her into the body of a mortal woman, with the help of her former lover Davy Jones.
A woman of power, Tia Dalma resided deep within the bayou swamps of Cuba, in a sprawling wooden shack perched on a treetop by the mouth of the Pantano River.
Some believed that judging Tia Dalma by her humble home was a mistake, as she had uncanny powers to foretell the future, to summon up demons, and to look deep into men's souls.
She had devoted her powers to helping anyone who needed it.
So, it was to this mysterious and beautiful mystic that Jack Sparrow occasionally turned to for help, who once provided him with his unique compass.
That was the main reason why I came near the seas of Cuba to begin with since I needed her help to give me the magic compass but if she was unwilling though… I might resort to violence but I would like to make a trade with her first before that.
Violence should be used as a last resort and thankfully Tia Dalma is barter in other words a trader or merchant if you want to be fancy with the terms.
Going inside my submarine I began to set course to Cuba nearest forest side as soon as possible since I wouldn't want the locals to be scared but it was more so the corrupt or pirates would learn to piss off.
I don't mind killing a few pirates if they happen to cross me first.
I won't act unless provoked or if I felt like it.
*Beep*
Going inside the sub I began to set my destination into Cuba as I began to forward in my direction following the sonar map built into the sub as I follow the course and admire the sea life around me.
Got to hand it though I do like the cozy feel of this place.
Perfectly calm weather and good sea critters going around becoming fish food.
Traversing through the seawater with my sub I get to enjoy my time here in relative peace as I began to keep watch.
*Click*
Turning on my PDA took out my laptop and already downloaded some anime shows to pass the time with the submarine on autopilot I only need to take glances from time to time viewing the area so as to not land into sharks.
Or ghost for that matter.
Now then how about trying out the new anime about SPY X FAMILY.
From what I see in the reviews so few episodes look very good with mix opening of Mixed Nuts sounding great.
And haters surprisingly get hate on them in return when people argue to them never seen an actually concerning family before. The backlash on them was hard that it was funny.
If there is an anime that does it on its own then it must be worth watching right?
Time to enjoy my time off.
Who knows I might just go there myself when I have free time.
