Chapter 68 Lullaby

Erza began to tell us about what she had heard in a tavern she had entered on the way she was returning from the quest she was on. There she heard the members of the dark guild Eisenwald talk about acquiring a magical object known as lullaby. Although Erza heard them talking about Eligor in their discussions she only later the fact that Eligor was wanted and the guild he was in was a dark guild.

By the time they reached the place where they should exit and got off the train. As they got off Erza said menacingly.

"if I had known that they were members of the dark guild, I would have finished them and used their blood flowing through the earth as a warning to every other dark guild

'wow that's scary' Lucy thought and suddenly she realised.

"wait where's Natsu"

At that moment both Erza and Gray froze.

"damn that idiot"

"its my fault for knocking him out, let's stop the train"

"wait where's Karna" Lucy said

At the time inside the train Kageyama was goading Natsu and was about to strike him

"you know for us dark guilds the Fairy tail is like flies you know flies" and just as he was about to use his shadow magic.

BAAAM

Karna suddenly appeared and crashed Kageyama's head on the seat knocking him down in one move. The members of the Eisenwald guild have almost the same magic 'shadow shapes' all of them can manipulate the shadows although only for a few moments enough to give a punch or slash but other than that their physical abilities are just trash, so it is easy to defeat them.

As he defeated him, Erza at the time managed to stop the train at the station making Natsu get out of his motion sickness.

"Whoa, Karna why did you hit that guy, even though I agree he is a creep. He kept on talking about Mira, Cana and others"

"yeah, well Natsu Erza's searching for this guy, so let's just say we got him"

"really, man I wanted to fight"

At that moment suddenly the train started to move again. Immediately Karna picked up Natsu, Kageyama and his bag throwing them outside while jumping outside by himself as well.

"oh, that hurts" Natsu cried

"let's wait for Erza while I explain what I know" Karna says as he began to tie up the knocked-up Kageyama

After waiting for a few minutes, Erza and the others managed to reach them with a magic carriage.

"Karna, Natsu are you guys alright" Erza asked while panting a bit

"it's alright Erza, by the way we caught the guy carrying lullaby" I said making all their eyes go wide. At the time Natsu was looking at the direction from which the train was going towards.

"here take this potion Erza, while I explain everything" Karna says while Erza takes the potion and finds out that her Ethernano levels are recovering

"this is good"

"yeah, I got it on a quest and yeah as I was saying when you said lullaby I had a doubt about what it was and sensing a guy who kept on staring at us I knew something was up and then caught this guy while he was trying to attack Natsu who was under motion sickness" I said as everyone looked at the bound Kageyama.

Karna took out the flute inside Kageyama's bag and continued.

"while he was knocked out, this flute fell out of his bag which confirmed my hypothesis about lullaby. This flute which I am holding is lullaby and let me tell you, if this idiot had not tried to attack Natsu, I would not have found out about it and we might have missed the chance to get it and an even bigger crisis would have been upon us"

"ah, I remember" Lucy cried out "Lullaby was a dark magic item which is said to kill whoever that listens to the tune"

Everybody winced at the thought as they knew what kind of damage this kind of magic item would cause. If it kills by sound alone, most people will not even realise that the sound they are hearing are killing them until it was too late.

"yeah, and we will take care of anyone standing in our way with it" the now woken up Kageyama shouted with a fanatical expression

"yeah, that would not have happened even if we were not there to stop it"

"what do you mean you bastard"

I then turned to others

"well what Lucy said was correct, but Lullaby was created with the purpose of killing with sound but that's not the complete story from the research I had conducted"

"what research are you talking about Karna" Erza asked

"research on Zeref"

This shocks everyone as they know everything related to the dark wizard is evil and tragic. Erza began to have flashbacks about the trauma that she had faced in childhood.

"hey now, don't jump the gun. I conducted the research since I had battled a few demons of Zeref and researched so as to prepare for more of them when I face them"

This calms everyone down knowing that their friend is not going to the dark side.

"you scared us there Silva" Happy wiped out his imaginary sweat

"well from my research I had found that the flute of Lullaby was taken by Zeref and turned to contain three of his demons and now if anyone uses the flute, the demons will be able to get out of it causing chaos and destruction."

"no"

Kageyama's eyes widened as he took in the information and found out that their hope to the top was actually a trap. He wanted to believe that they were lying but he remembered finding some runes mentioning Zeref from the place where he removed the seal that hid the flute.

"well, its good that you got it soon right" Gray said while looking at the flute getting a few bad memories about the demons of Zeref

"well, I would say that but we are not out of the woods yet, right Natsu"

"yeah, I can see a lot of guys coming towards us right now"

With my long-range sensing I had managed to sense the Eisenwald guild coming towards us. As I checked I was able to see two larger magic users among them. Looks like Eligor is not the only one among them acting as leaders and in canon these guys never came here and were at the next station.

Looks like the Au of stronger problems and more members are still there. Luckily I, no we are prepared. I thought as I prepared my bow and arrow
