Chapter 45 Data Lost!

Listening to Austin's suggestion, the young Barry Allen took the TemPad and dashed out, beginning to speed around the entirety of Wayne Manor at a supersonic pace.

Immense energy erupted instantaneously, causing circular lightning visible even to ordinary people with naked eyes. This attracted the attention of the old Batman and Barry Allen from the main universe. Aside from them, even Kara on the rooftop cast a curious gaze over.

However, they withdrew their gazes after just a glance and went on with what they were doing.

Although they didn't know what mischief this brat was causing now, since it was on Austin's instructions, there must be an ulterior motive. There probably wouldn't be any chaos for the time being either. Moreover, time was of the essence now to restore Barry Allen's Speed Force first and foremost.

Fortunately, Wayne Manor was situated remotely with a vast private territory belonging to the Wayne family surrounding it. So even though the young Flash caused huge movements, no one else noticed apart from these people.

After around five to six minutes, the young Barry Allen returned before Austin. But his condition was terrible then. One could describe his return as 'crawling back'. Pietro reacted quickly to support him and brought him over to Austin.

"You, Are you alright?" Austin did not immediately take back the TemPad. Rather, he was shocked by the young Barry's current state.

The young Barry's complexion was somewhat greenish with sweat drenching his face. He slumped limply into the chair, gasping heavily for air. He looked as if he had just finished running a marathon. Austin didn't expect that merely charging it could leave the young Flash utterly exhausted.

One must know that the young Barry Allen currently not only had a layer of his own Speed Force, but he was also carrying the Speed Force from the Barry Allen of the main universe as well. To be worn out to such an extent even with such formidable power, charging the TemPad was clearly not as simple as Austin had imagined.

"I'm fine, just too tired. Phew—what exactly does this thing do? I felt that when I was running, all the energy around me was being absorbed by it. It was even draining my stamina. Running with this thing was like carrying an abominable burden."

The young Barry Allen took a long while before he managed to steady his breathing. Only then did he start grumbling to Austin about the strangeness of the little gadget. He tossed it back to Austin with an expression showing he never wanted to touch the thing again for the rest of his life.

Catching the TemPad, Austin tapped at the screen and a fingerprint verification interface emerged swiftly. This was Austin's first time seeing something other than Miss Minutes's image in the TemPad interface.

Licking his lips, Austin placed his thumb on it.

Immediately afterward, an intensely piercing pain transmitted from his thumb. It felt like his thumb was being squeezed by a door, accompanied by an electrifying numb sensation. This caused Austin to reflexively withdraw his hand.

In the next moment, Austin suddenly felt chilled all over as the scene around him flipped dramatically.

Austin now found himself amidst a sea of stars, an indescribable icy sensation. He couldn't feel any ground under his feet, yet his entire body seemed to be firmly 'standing' on something, suspended in this cosmic expanse.

Austin stared blankly at the sight before him, stunned stiff.

Within his field of view, the starry space was bisected by an unfathomably massive spatial rift into two portions. Austin himself still remained in the normal universe with twinkling stars, but on the other side, an eternal night sky shrouded an unknown number of worlds.

The pitch-black colossal rift emitted an appalling aura beyond human comprehension as if all vitality would be severed upon contact. It was a horror surpassing any known energy source Austin could imagine.

The worlds shrouded under that sky transformed into dead planets one after another. Although still far away, Austin seemed able to sense the putrid toxins flowing within them, as well as the black and green magma. The land blanketed with dense cracks had already ruptured with no signs of life, only an asphyxiating void.

The desolate and shattered worlds were distressing to behold. This terrifying scene caused Austin's mind to go blank for a moment.

The bizarre energy contaminated all the reachable worlds in an indescribable manner. Wherever it passed, everything was in continuous fragmentation and collapse. In contrast, the portion of starry space still in its normal state now seemed to Austin like a flock of lambs awaiting slaughter under his gaze.

At the edge of the shrouded sky, an unimaginably colossal 'lifeform' was sprawled in the crevice between dark and light. To be precise, that could not be called a lifeform at all.

Rather than an object, it would be more accurate to call it a celestial body. It was a mass formed from the gathering of countless stars, an assemblage of numerous galaxies congealed into a giant bearing semblance to the silhouette of a human. Its features were too chaotic to discern. Within its body surged endless starlight, giving off a bizarre sensation.

However, writhing shadows covered its bodily surface - worm-like entities composed of a shadowy substance constantly twisting and gnawing at the stellar giant's body, attempting to bore into its frame and erode its core.

Austin blankly watched everything before him. Although the sight made him dizzy the more he looked, he still stared fixedly at the inconceivable scene without even blinking.

"Stop looking. We don't have the capability to help it."

Just as Austin was spacing out at the distant light and shadow, a voice suddenly sounded by his ear, giving him a tremendous shock. He swiftly turned his head, his complexion fluctuating unpredictably.

As his line of sight shifted, an orange-colored clock appeared in Austin's field of vision, on top of which there were human-like features, in addition to which she had limbs that belonged to a human.

Austin instantly recognized this thing, it was none other than the Miss Minutes created by the Time Variance Authority. Only this time, she had not appeared on the time controller interface, but was physically present in 'reality'.

"What do you mean we don't have the capability? Do you know that stellar giant?" Austin asked uncertainly.

"Data Lost... System File Error."

Miss Minutes quickly responded, but her words made Austin furrow his brows deeply

"What the hell is going on here? Why did you bring me to this universe? Did something happen to the Time Variance Authority? What exactly happened here?"

Austin anxiously questioned, but the response remained in Miss Minutes's extremely cold and emotionless voice.

"Data Lost..."

"System File Error."

(Can anyone guess the giant's identity?)

(End of The Chapter)...To be continued.
