Chapter 18 President X

The sound of the knocking echoed in the empty factory. The soldiers around him were silent, no one dared to speak or even breathe loudly for fear of disturbing something.

After a while, a female voice came out from inside the container.

"Didn't I say not to disturb me recently?"

"Sorry, President X, it's important." Cold sweat appeared on the black commander's forehead, but he still bit the bullet and spoke.

At the engineering ladder above the factory, Pietro instantly covered his mouth when he heard this, as he was afraid that he wouldn't be able to help but scream out.

"Is it a border riot, or has nuclear war broken out? I've already said that none of this matters, the entire world will be subjugated when I succeed" The female voice's tone took on a slightly impatient tone.

"No, it's not that, President X. Assassins have broken into here. They destroyed the power supply and released the prisoners detained in the mutant prison. Now those prisoners are on the verge of breaking out."

There was immediate silence in the white container, and the entire factory quieted down. The black commander swallowed nervously, then continued speaking with his head down. "We speculate it is the remnant of the Avengers. We don't know how they got hold of your location, and want to assassinate you through the riots of the mutant prisoners."

Before he could finish speaking, the black commander was blasted away instantly by a beam of red energy. He smashed heavily into the wall of the factory, directly blasting a big hole.

Immediately afterward, the door of the white container blew open. A woman wearing a long red dress with a stunningly beautiful face slowly floated out with the help of a wave of Scarlet Energy.
