Ch. 68 Teaching Historia

( Yuto pov )

" Put up your hood. It allows you to blend into the crowd, especially in crowds. Like this come on."

Krista:" Yes!"

" And speak quietly when you're trying to blend in. It attracts attention."

Krista nodded under her hood. And we both followed behind a crowd.

Historia and I went inside the walls. And now I'm teaching here to blend in and to sneak. We're also hiding from Kenny's group as well as Rod Reiss.

People here were spooked as they heard the fall of Wall Maria, and there was a refuge camp. There was also talk about the military gathering citizen to retake wall Maria.

' They're basically sending them to their deaths.'

" Here, let's go this way, floow these nuns here."

Grabbing Krista's cloak, we took another path from the crowd, and as we followed the nuns, we both put our hands together like we're praying like the rest of the nuns.

With our heads down and our hands together. I decided to move into an alleyway with Historia following.

' Shit Kenny's goons'

" Sit here, let them pass, don't make any eye contact."

Sitting at the bench, I crossed my arms and leaned back with my legs stretched out.

As Kenny's goons passed, we both got up and headed towards the gates.

* One hour later,*

We both got on a cart that was transporting others to wall Sina where the refuge was. We're going to my house that's in Stohess. And the refuge camp was in Hermina.

* One day later,*

" And here we are, our base."

Krista:" Wow, it's huge."

" Mhm. Come on."

As I showed Krista my house, I started to train her. I trained her for six months before leaving for FATE. I also forgot to mention that I was able to stop time in Naruto. But it should be morning in FATE.

" Hey, wake up."

Seeing Artoria still sleeping, I brought out a bread from my inventory and held it to her nose.

Waking up, she quickly devoured the bread from my hands. Noticing that was watching her as she decimated that bread, she had an embarrassed face before turning to her stoic face again.

Artruis:" Where were you?"

" What do you mean?" I asked as I made it look like I was ready for the day.

Artruis:" I woke up to find you missing."

" Oh, that? I was just outside looking at the stars. I accidently fell asleep on the rooftop. But I did get you some bread, didn't I?"

[ Deception Failed ]

' Hmm? how? I thought I was...sigh, Merlin, I forgot he teaches Artoria in her dreams. He must've noticed something was off.'

" Well, I'm going to train early. How about you? want to spar again today."

Artruis:" I thought we were partners, Yuto."

She spoke as she got out of bed.

" And we are, I promise."

Artruis:" You're lying again."

" Sigh, alright, you caught me. I went to the red light district."

[ Deception Failed ]

' Oh, come on.'

I swear I heard a dick wizard laughing somewhere.

Artoria looked at me, not believing a single word.

" We really going to do this?"

Artruis:" Yes."

" Really? Then should we start about how you're dressing as a boy, even though you're a girl."

That managed to make Artoria eyes widen.

Artoria:" How?"

Ignoring her question, I continued.

" Like I said, we should trust each other. I won't ask why you're hiding your gender, but once you do, I'll also share why I was gone."

With that said, I finished dressing up and went to the training grounds. Artoria came as well with a stoic face, but I could feel her eyes peircing me.

As we spared with each other, I noticed that Artoria was trying harder than before.

Dodging her attack with ease, I countered when I saw a weak point in her stance.

A month passed as we continued to train, and Artoria was slowly warming up to me again.

Instructor:" Congratulations, you survived. Now, you'll be pointed as squires. You'll be brought under a knight to handle their weapons, armor, horses, etc. Now, you can choose your weapons from this rack."

' A spear sounds cool. Although I already have a sword, I don't mind training in a spear. Especially when it's my childhood dream to wield one one.'

I thought as I grabbed a spear.

Instructor:" Are you sure, Yuto? You're talented in a sword. Why not use that instead."

" I'm trying to broaden my horizon on weapons, especially their usage and weakness."

Instructor;" I understand, many other talented knights do the same as well. Good luck, Yuto."

" Thank you."

' This reminds me, I should find a teacher to teach me about the spear, although I have someone in mind I don't know how to get there.'

I finished my thoughts as I approached Artoria, who had a sword.

Artruis:" A spear? I thought you would pick a sword."

" I'm too good with the sword, so I thought I should train in the spear to give you a leverage."

Artorias ahoge furiously shook, but she had a stoic face and replied.

Artruis:" Let's spar here and no..."

Before she could finish, she was interrupted by the instructor.

Instructor:" Yuto, first place, you'll be squire of Sir Ector. Artruis, second place, you'll be the squire of Sir Kay. Random trainee....."

" Sir Kay?"

Arruis:" You don't know, Sir Ector?"

' Of course I do, but gotta just keep the foreigner act up.'

" I'm a foreigner, remember?"

Artruis:" Oh." She nodded.
