C3 Operation: GOoP (Part 2)

His friend changed two months ago and she suddenly had interest in these mechanical things, though it was not a bad change. She was still his best friend.

"Do I look like a thief to you fatso?"

"What can I do? It's just us two here so is it wrong to assume it's a thief?" Fatty Kai looked at the drone with a funny deadpan face.

"Hahaha! Sorry, where's your parents? Out of town again?"

"Yeah, they said they had a business in Bycol City. Though, as always it's just an excuse to have a vacation."

I looked at Kai and felt that it was really sad. Ever since I knew him, I rarely saw his parents. They were always out for business or other businesses (which is just vacation).

"Don't be so down, pig. You have me no?"

"What the fuck? Don't call me pig and also you don't have to console me. I'm used to it," Fatty Kai said as he looked sideways.

What a tsundere. Is that the word? I don't know any other dere other than tsundere and yandere so I'll say he's a tsundere.

"Where's your sister? Is she there?"

"She's downstairs watching telenovelas. Why did you ask?"

"Well, I finished making her necklace and I was gonna give it to her. With payment, of course."

Just then, the door burst open and I saw a brown haired girl at the door with an astonished expression.

"What do you mean payment?! Alex, I helped you collect those parts without asking anything and you say you'll need payment for the necklace?" the girl said as she stood on the door with an angry look.

That is Kai's elder sister, Elizabeth. As she said, she did help me in finding and collecting parts I needed to build my gadgets. She also helped me with making the drone, not that I'll admit that she helped a lot. I still need money.

"W-well, I need money you know... I'm just a poor orphan that begs on the streets with close to nothing to eat."

"Bullshit! I call it crap talk! I know my brother gives you food everyday. Our stock of sardines and other canned food is untouched so I'll know if someone took even a single can."

I was speechless. You even count the cans?

"Hey fatso, how many canned goods are in your house totally?"

"Umm... I don't know exactly. There's a pile in the storage enough to fill two closets."

What the fuck is that? Did she really count all canned foods in there? What a freak.

"What a load of bullshit, for you to say you had nothing to eat. You ate the stocks at my store so you need to compensate me!" Elizabeth said.

"Come on, sis. You know I don't have any money."

"You can pay me with that necklace then," she stretched her hand out and asked me to give it to her.

I hesitated seeing her hand. I planned to sell this to her so that I can have money to buy a proper meal instead of those canned food.

Seeing her hesitate, Elizabeth said while taking out money, "You will owe me nothing if you sell me that necklace for 500 Gsos."

{ A/N: Umm... I'm bad at naming so forgive me. 1 dollar = 500 Gsos }

"Okay, you can go to my place later to take your necklace. You have to be proud that you are the first to have this state of the art tech," the siblings can hear Alex's proud tone through the drone's speaker.

"It's just a tracker, right? You just made it an accessory, nothing so grand about it."

"Hehehe~ It's not just a tracker! The Hycryov Health Necklace (HHN) has gps tracking, danger sensor and also can connect to any devices to open the app installed in the necklace. The app is useful as it can scan your body temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, and health status via the necklace scanner."

"Holy! You mean it can connect to the computers?! That's cool!" As a tech otaku who watched sci-fi anime, Kai is naturally hyped to see something so advanced.

Elizabeth was also astonished. She knew those long procedures at the hospital that used many types of equipment for a check up so it shocked her that a little necklace can do so much.

"I can show you it's uses when you get here," Alex said as she landed the drone to the floor, "Did you like the novel I wrote, Kai?"

"Yes, ma'am! I did not just like it, I love it! Do you have any more?" He really liked the novel Alex gave him. Just thinking about diving into the game itself gives him goosebumps.

"Hahaha! Of course you'll like it!" Alex gave him the novel she recreated two weeks ago, Sword Art Online.

Alex planned to contact a publishing house and make novels to make money. She's broke af right now so she will take advantage of anything she had. She will make money enough to buy clothes and good food. She called it Operation: Getting Out of Poverty (GOoP).

"I will make more novels when I have free time. Check my drone first if it had any problems."

Kai walked to the drone and checked it. Looking at it now closely, it seems that Alex upgraded the drone. Although he participated in making the prototype, this version is much more advanced now so he can only check for external damages.

"Alex, there is no external damages to the drone. Although I want to check the inside it's too advanced for me, sorry," Kai said as he looked at the exposed solar panel at the back of the drone. (Who would dump this solar panel at the junk yard? Are they idiots or just too rich?)

"It's natural that you would feel that way. The drone I made is at least two decades ahead," Alex looked at Kai's downcast expression and said, "I'll teach you later when you get here with sis Eliza."
